What a nightmare!! Trevor and Victoria came out on 9/10 to diagnose my Under Counter nugget ice…read moremachine. It was reading Error Code 12. I had already used the manual to see what that code meant. It was most likely the thermistor. I told them this and explained all the steps I had already taken. Trevor poured about a gallon of water into the unit and it drained out just fine. He then states that the drain pump was bad and needed to be replaced. This part is $972 and also the thermistor was bad and it is $28 through the company that I purchased the ice machine from. My gut told me that the drain pump was not the problem, but I'm not an appliance repairman. Victoria began searching and found both parts for $775.36. She ordered them and they were to arrive by Saturday (13th). They gave me an invoice for $925.36 which was the cost of the parts plus $150 for their service call. They scheduled to come back on Monday (15th) to install the parts. They called on the 15th to tell me that the part was hung up in Alabama but would arrive on Tuesday (16th) they called and said that they could make me the last call (4-6pm) on Wed. On Wednesday they are a no show. On Thurs (17th) Trevor calls and says they have now ordered the parts "again" and they will have the second order tomorrow (fri 19th) and I will be the last call again (4-6pm). Friday they are a no show again. Mon. 22nd at about 1:30p I get a call from Trevor stating that the parts have finally arrived and they will make me their last call (4-6pm). I was working and had to let my phone go to vm at the time they called. I texted him and told him I would be home by 4:15. He texted back and asked if there was any chance that I could be there by 3:45ish. I told him absolutely not. I get off work at 4. Now for the nightmare part. I was already feeling very nervous after having read reviews on his fb page. When I arrived home at 4:13 on the 22nd they were sitting in my driveway waiting. They came in and began taking off my supposedly bad drain pump, all the while he is whistling and he made the comment that instead of whistling while he works it was whistling while he waits! He gets the old part off, puts the new part on and then removes the thermistor. There was a seal with it that looks somewhat like silly putty that his wife was playing with. He gets the thermistor in, and needs the silly putty stuff to seal it back into place. It's not the best seal so he tries some duct tape which does not stick. So he says that he thinks it should be fine. He puts the ice machine back into its spot and gets it plugged up and by all accounts it should begin making ice...NOT. He next tells me that I have to clean the machine (which had been done, a week before it quit making ice) again because of the new parts being put on and they left without knowing if the machine was going to work. I spent the next 2 hours cleaning the machine and hopefully expecting it to make ice. Nope - once cleaned, and ready for ice production, it gave me the same ERROR CODE 12!!! I texted him at 8:38 pm same evening and said: "$925, 12 days waiting for parts to arrive - installed this afternoon, 2 hrs spent on the cleaning cycle again AND machine still shows the exact same 12 error code. Next day at 11:03 am he texts and says - Let me research and I will reach out to you later today. No he did not. 24th I get a text that says call me when you get off work today. NOW I WILL SAY...I'M DONE WITH URGENT CARE APPLIANCE REPAIR. Sunday at church, I was put in contact with a gentleman that repairs all sort of appliances. He scheduled to come out that very afternoon and look at in. In the meantime, I took some trash out to my dumpster and as I raised the lid, guess what? Yep, I found the drain pump that he took off the ice maker in it. I retrieved it, and had the man that came out test it, and there is NOTHING wrong with it. So, I was scammed out of $775.36 for parts that were not necessary. The gentleman that came out, checked the machine out thoroughly and found that the water inlet valve had some gunk in it. He removed it, washed it out and replaced it, and I've had ice ever since. It took this gentleman about 45 min. start to finish, NO NEW PARTS NEEDED. I would not even Give Urgent Care Appliance Repair 1/4 of a star. They are not knowledgeable, not reliable, and I will never use them again nor would I ever recommend them to anyone that I know.

I don't usually get my appliances repaired after a certain age, but really loved her washer so I…read morewent for it. I'm glad I did because he was able to repair it for about a quarter of what the new one would've cost me. The machine ended up having two different problems but he returned and warranty the problem without a second diagnostic fee so even though it was a little more than anticipated, it was well worth getting my machine back. I'm happy to be washing clothes again.
