I've been to a lot of studios where the cyc isn't painted on a regular basis and it looks dirty and not something you'd want on camera. The space also has a great kitchen area with a good-sized dining table for our crew to eat lunch at. And they recycle! Bonus points :) Loading gear in and out was easy and accessible too. I'd definitely rent this space out again for a future shoot. It's in a central location, cool staff, and versatile studio.

So when my sister was planning her wedding, my husband and I decided to book her a photobooth as part of her wedding gift. However, there were just a few things we didn't love about our photobooth experience so we did not want to book from the same company. My guests had a great time but the company we used had horrible customer service and took forever to answer emails. So we did a ton of internet research for other companies in the LA area. Cut to: Maple Leaf Photobooths. Maple Leaf alleviated all of our concerns. Chris answered all emails very promptly and addressed all of my questions and concerns right away. I really appreciated that attention to professionalism. That is what made us decide to ultimately book Maple Leaf. They were a bit more pricey than other vendors we inquired with but, based on quality of care he had already exhibited, we felt it would be worth it. Weddings are stressful enough to plan without having to hunt down answers from vendors. We were confident that it would be worth paying a bit more for quality. We were right. Maple Leaf was a completely stress-free vendor. Aside from the impressive level of professionalism, the photobooth attendant was a million times better than I have witnessed at other weddings, including my own. He was interactive and fun. He helped facilitate fun when guests seemed aloof and was very open and friendly. Other experiences I've had, the photobooth attendants don't really seem interested in anything but waiting until it's time to pack up and go. It really made a huge difference in energy that, this time, the attendant was a bit of an entertainer and had a genuine interest in everyone having a good time. Maple Leaf also customized the logo for our prints and emailed me templates to choose from. This was a nice extra touch. The logo we used was the same one from my sister's invitation so it really went well with the overall theme of the wedding. Maple Leaf did a great job. I highly recommend them.

The BIG DIFFERENCE between this Maple Leaf and all of the other photobooths is that there is actually a person staffing the booth that is fun and personable - helping out with props, suggesting fun poses, being patient with retake requests. I've seen OTHER photobooths where there is either no one staffing the booth, or the person staffing the booth has zero personality. I also love that you get hard copies of the pictures right away in addition to getting them electronically. Don't waste your time looking at other photobooths - the quality and service Maple Leaf provides is by far the best.

But aside from their great personalities their photos are amazing. I am awkward in front of cameras. But not in my wedding photos. My photos showed a beautiful bride with her charming yet stoic husband and all their family and friends in a perfectly lit hotel wedding. The reality was we were all hot,sweaty and spread out over multiple rooms in a hotel over a span of many many hours. I even got a giant mosquito bite on my back right at the beginning of the day bad enough that everyone's first reaction is OMG Mosquito Bite!!! (but you can't see it in any of my photos). Shannon and Justin really do go all out for their clients. I received my final photos right before Christmas so I ordered prints for all the parents. Unfortunately they would not arrive in time for Christmas but I placed the order anyway. I never notified the Vondys. Suddenly I get an email from them saying we noticed you ordered prints. We have expedited them to try get them to arrive by Christmas! My operations team had the honor of putting together a Store Manager Leadership meeting. It was for all 500 store manager in the company flying into LA! John and his team handled the welcome reception, stage and lighting for the 3 day event. John's team provided great service and amazing atmosphere for the store managers and 50 plus executives. Let me just begin this review by saying LA color is simply amazing!…read more We started working with Taky 3-month before our wedding, b/c we wanted to create a cute little clip to tell our love story at our wedding. Some of our guests are our parents' friends, so they don't necessarily know me and my husband that well. I showed Taky an only clip I liked and had a few ideas myself, but had no idea how to execute them at all. Taky was so patient listening to my ideas and brainstorming with us. My husband and I obviously are not professional actors, so I was worried that the clip would come out to be super awkward. However, Taky's easygoing personality and sense of humor made the filming process very fun and easy. We were laughing the whole time while we filmed, and were even able to incorporate our dog in our video which really meant a lot to us! The final product definitely exceeded my expectation and it was a huge hit at our wedding! On our wedding day, the whole team (3 photographers and 2 videographers) showed up earlier than their appointment time to capture our makeup session and wedding prep. That was such a nice gesture and I was not expecting it at all. Taky and Sam, having been through countless weddings before, have their unique eyes and ways in capturing the spirit of the wedding. They simply get it and show sincere appreciation of the amount of work the bride puts into the wedding, so they captured an incredible amount of details that otherwise would have been missed. My wedding was a Chinese/American fusion wedding and I love every single moment they captured for me during the tea ceremony. Not to mention the same day edit was the highlight of the wedding without a doubt. He did an amazing job editing and putting everything together. For the price I paid, this is totally worth it. He didn't waste a single part of the dvd, he asked for slideshows, engagement pictures, etc. I just love how I can take out the dvd and watch it and it has everything! My favorite feature about the dvd is the highlight (great editing), the photo session (this was amazing, i love how he worked with Sam - the photographer of LA Color and came up with this session, it is just so cool. i can't explain it in words you have to watch a sample from them!), dedications (i love how he asked my closes friends and families to say a few good things to us, the married couple, it was definitely a nice touch), and the bloopers (it is really funny!). Taky and his team were on time and were there with me for the whole duration that our contract was signed for. I highly recommend Taky for videographer - he's quick thinking, easy going, friendly, funny, efficient and talented., AND most of all VERY responsive! definitely a HUGE plus when you're wedding planning!
