The customer service girl tried to tell me that they had looked it even though there was no evidence of that on my end. They had touched it with their sticky hands. I am out now $60. I should probably give them 1 star instead of 2. I sent my iPod Touch in w/a broken screen (which has sensors attached to the back of it). They 'fixed' it and sent it back. I tried playing a game I have on it, and noticed 'rippling' effects that were not there before. I sent it back, and emailed cust. service saying that they should reimburse me for the $4-5 that I paid to mail and insure it. I was told that I WOULD get reimbursed, but after many more emails, absolutely nothing. It was sent back fixed, or mostly so ...sometimes I still think it's not quite as it was before. And on the refund, it's not the amount of money - it's the fact that it was their fault that I had to send it back, and they wouldn't even pay me back that small amount. Very disappointed. They took my IPOD and my $25 for an "assessment". Then asked for $20 more to fix it. Next they said it would be 2 months before the repairs were done due to backlog (at this point they had my money and my IPOD). I needed my ipod classic repaired because the play button had stopped working so I mailed it in, expecting I would have to pay for a whole new clickwheel. Then I read the bad reviews and I was worried I wouldn't get my ipod back for months. But I mailed it USPS priority on Monday, they got it on Wednesday, they were able to repair it without replacing the clickwheel, and it was delivered back to me by the next Monday. A five day turnaround is very good in my opinion. Their customer service was courteous. This was a much less expensive option than other places locally. I sent them my ipod with just a broken screen. Everything worked other than the broken screen. Nearly a month later (they have still not fixed it) they send me an additional message saying that the logic board is not working and now nothing is working on the ipod. After the $25 diagnosis, $79.99 screen replacement, plus what it cost to ship it to them and have them ship it back, I am almost up to $150 just to fix it. I had attempted to get my 5th gen iPod classic repaired at a local place and they would have done it all for about 60 bucks but could not get the correct part. I bit the bullet and ponied up the $25 for DE to look at it. After a week, they came back with a price of $223 to fix the click wheel, main board and replace the hard drive. I said I did not want to pay that much and they came back with an offer to just fix the main board. So I accept the offer of 80 more dollars to complete the repair then don't hear from them for another week. They give me a spiel about how it is 7 to 10 business days for a repair to complete (but with an offer to expedite in 24 hours if another 15 bucks was sent in. I declined this offer) so I figure it will be awhile before I get this thing back but the next day I got an email saying the repair was complete. It was 19 days start to finish and then the iPod had none of my songs remaining on it. It took several hours but was able to restore 85%of my prior tracks. So I paid 105 plus shipping instead of 249 for a new one. I would use them again, realizing it will take a minimum of two weeks in all likelihood. Drew read more

I paid $ 25 for the "diagnostic and repair" service for an I-pod. After the diagnosis, they determined that I needed to pay an extra $ 20 for parts; after I paid the extra $20 they told me that my I-pod could not be repaired, and I would be refunded the $20 for the parts within a month. After two months passed and not receiving the refund, I emailed their customer service department and they just completely ignored my email. The whole process of diagnosis and repair took 16 days, from April 10th 2013 to April 26 2013, clearly not the "3 to 5 business days" they promise on the website. So to sum up, I was expecting my I-pod to be repaired in 5 business days for $25 plus eventually some extra for parts. My son took his iphone to Digi Express for a repair. The repair technician took his phone and his payment for the repair. The payment was done through his debit card. The repair was not done by time he had to leave and he requested his money back. The technician was to credit his card. No credit appeared in 4 days so I called Customer Service and was told that the refund would take 30 days. The customer service rep was very nice. She is trying to expedite my sons. My advice would be wary with the type of payment as you will not get your money back any time soon if the service can not be done that day. read more

My sister took her phone to the Pittsburgh Mills location due to a cracked screen. They fixed the screen and everything looked ok. Then two days later she had a crack under neath the screen. This was causing her phone to dial numbers, hang up on calls, try to face time while she is on the phone, mutes her and he phone also freezes up constantly now. This was a brand new phone not even 3 months old when she cracked it. When she went back to try and show them all the issues they stated it was on her they could not help her out even though they gave her a 90 day warranty. They seem to be a bunch of crooks. They charge just to look at your device. They looked at my Ipod classic and decided it could not be repaired. It cost me $38.00 for their fee IN ADVANCE and shipping and all for nothing. I was desperate because these Ipods aren't sold in stores anymore and they took advantage of that. There should never be a charge for evaluation especially when the customer has to pay for shipping. It took maybe a minute to evaluate my device's problem judging by how fast they got back to me. They were fast for sure. It's like they were in a big hurry to bank another $25.00 evaluation fee. If you take their $25.00 fee for looking at it and multiply it by 60 minutes it comes out to a whopping $1500.00 per hour. Who knows how much effort they put into it anyway? I am appalled by the entirety of Digiexpress. I have a 4th generation Ipod and for the longest time, it worked flawlessly. One faithful day, the power button stuck. I had heard of people fixing their own ipods and I had all the tools a necessities to do so, I tried it and trust me, leave it to the experts. I ended up damaging the LCD screen under the ipod's glass. I gave up and decided that I would send it in. DO NOT BELIEVE THE REVIEWS ON THE DIGIEXPRESS WEBSITE. Going onto Yahoo, google, etc., you will find more trustworthy reviews. Anyways, I had them send a box to me, $15, and paid the $25 tech fee. They sent me e-mails through receiving, repair $75, and shipping. By this time I've spent over $115 and I am dying to get my Ipod back. Saturday, I get it back with four peanuts in the box, a thin layer of bubble wrap, with the ipod itself STILL OPEN. I pressed the sides down and it clicked into place. I went to plug it in and NOTHING. It wouldn't charge, wouldn't recognize my computer, wouldn't sync. I practically started crying. They literally sent it back to me in worse condition that it was. I called them and left a message with two numbers to reach me back at THAT DAY. I went into town and traveled to several tech places and came across a wonderful, amazing company the helped me FREE OF CHARGE. They showed me why the ipod was still open, the technician had only put two tiny drops of glue to secure the ipod in place. The new tech showed me his adhesive that covered the entire Ipod and secured it properly. The owner of the little shop then looked at the charging dock, Digiexpress had bent two prongs along the dock causing the ipod not to register at all. He then informed me that because the prongs were out of place, it may have caused my charging wires to short circuit. GREAT! When I went to pay for his services, he told me no charge, on the house. I left that store VERY, VERY happy. So Monday, I received a call back from digiexpress. Jennifer in customer relations called me back and I told her all of what happened. She accused me of not only NOT CALLING THEM AS SOON AS I RECEIVED THE ITEM but also said the only way they would give me a refund, is if I gave them MORE MONEY and sent it in so they could take off the parts and send it back. I've never had such awful customer service in my life. I really am shocked at this company. GO LOCAL! DO NOT SEND YOUR ITEM TO DIGIEXPRESS!!! Diggiexpress company sucks, I am happy for you if you are among those who had a good experience with them. However if you do not, they will gladly tell you a line of B.S for as long as it takes and tell you you're 30 days are up and you are out of luck. I will have a supervisor review your order and find out what happened and which technician worked on your device. No, one other than her made any contact with me,Chelsea keeps telling me to pay to have it shipped back to them so they can charge me to not fix it again. They then reimburse me like 7$ for shipping. I have asked her what is the name of someone in the company besides her that I can explain my situation too. After looking into the company, there are no contacts beside a phone number that goes back to the store and her, The customer service manager. I then asked her for the name and contact info of another manager so I could write a letter to the company telling them of my experience. Would NOT recommend Digi Express. I dropped my phone and cracked the screen. I took it to Digi Express paid $155. and had it replaced. That was on May 1st. The new screen cracked straight across the the top. I did nothing for it to crack. It had to be a bad screen or was replaced wrong. I took it back and Chelesa told me they would give me 20% off a new screen and that the warrenty does not cover that. What does the warrenty cover. I am not happy. I sent in a working Generation 4 iPod Nano with a Coverflow problem. The repair price escalated to more than $80.00. When it was ready to be returned, I was informed that it still had the Coverflow problem. I protested. The iPod was returned to me in pieces, although not all of the pieces were there. I protested. The device was returned to Digiexpress. When I received it the second time, all the pieces appeared to be there, but the iPod was damaged (badly scratched, bezels falling off, etc.) and completely dead. This place can fix your phone but I assure you will be back for them to fix it right or have new repair for the same service.... AKA crappy parts. I had my phone screen fixed and everything worked with the broken screen. Within hours of the service, other parts stopped working. I had four screens replaced on iphones and they all cracked within 3 to 7 days, I called and explained to them the phones were just sitting at the time that the screens cracked and noticed that the screens had lifted, which is supposed to be under warranty but if the screens crack the warranty is void, they said how do we know u didn't break the screen to get a new one put on, seriously I have to drive 45 min to get them replaced so who in there right mind would break the screen on purpose?, after they just got them replaced. I payed the fee to look at my phone and call me to know what the total cost would be to fix my iPhone 5S on off button. They never called me. Three days after I dropped the phone off I drove to there store to pick it up. They ut now the mute switch is broken atand can't be fixed there is no charge, call the complaint line there is nothing else we will do with the phone. I gave the phone to my daughter. The thumb scan was replaced and does not work, the charge port head phone jack, speaker and mute switch also are not working. I've spoke with every person in the company that I could, took the phone back. The thumb scan is not working and the mgt. told me their tec broke the phone and this is all they are willing to fix because only apple can reprogram the thumb scan. When the original battery in my iPod Touch failed to hold a charge i sent the device to DigiExpress on 9/20/11 for testing They determined that the battery was defective and replaced it.. Although the new battery provided full power immediately upon recharging the strength fell rapidly after a few days even when the device was not used and not powered on. After 5 days from full recharging and no use at all the battery was completely drained. With the original iPod Touch the battery retained substantial poser even after 30 days of non-use. DigiExpress advertises a lifetime warranty but, when I contacted them on 11/16/11 and then on 11/22 they said there would be $25 service charge to have them replace their battery because a 30 day period had expired. This was in spite of the fact that their own service department said in writing that either the battery or board was defective. The cost of the original repair and shipping was $40.74 but I wish I had gone to the Apple Store, paid $79, and avoided the hassle and unethical practices of this merchant. The lesson is you get what you pay for or, in this case, less. read more

I orginally sent my working Ipod in for a new battery and scrren due to a crack in it and the unit would not hold a charge. They had my Ipod 4th generation about 30 days longer then they estimated. After 40 days I called and they said they needed the unlock code to " test the unit". After another week they sent me an invoice for additional parts saying the " on /off " button was bad. I asked how they tested the unit originally if the on /off button was bad and I was told it would power on when plugged in but not on it's own. After paying the additional cost another several weeks go by and I get an Email that the unit cannoth be repaired due to " corrosion on the main board". They sadi the unit will not power on. I informed them it powered on went sent in and it powered on when tested but not after they repaired it. sounds like a technician error to me. do not use these people! sent a nano for a volume button issue. was quoted $25.00 plus $8.95 shipping for diagnostics. told emily that i didn't want to spend more that i could purchase a new one. she agreed. what emily didn't tell me was that if your screen has a crack they cannot remove it for diagnostics. therefore, the initial diagnostics were $80.00 for a screen assembly and battery without even addressing the volume control button issue. i'm out $33.00 bucks. terrible communication and customer service. stop using them. wish i knew the owner. does anyone know who it is? read more

I take my iPhone in to get my volume up and down buttons fixed everything else on the phone worked perfect. They bring it out an hour later. They say everyone works witch it did. But on screen was broke. So they fix my screen for free. Wait about another hour for my screen I missed my movie for this problem. Next they bring it up my vibrate switch on the side doesn't work. It worked when I gave it to them so the next thing they say the tech left 10 minutes ago and they called me after he left and messed my phone up once again. So now I can't switch my phone and it is stuck in load mode. I have work tomorrow and I can't have my phone on load well I work so I don't know what to do. They said they will fix that for free but I work 9 to 9 tomorrow so I can't fix it then also Sunday I work tell 6 so I can't fix it till Monday if I can get there. If I were you I would take your repair somewhere else. I would think some Mexican on the corner would do a way better job fixing you stuff then techs that went to college for it.
