This small shop has a good variety of cute and small gifts- especially useful for that last minute birthday present that won't break the bank. I usually head here to get a fun birthday card too! Here you will find a lot of Edward Monkton cards and gifts, lots of funky earrings and jewellery, funky mugs as well as incense sticks and even cute hot water bottles. Living up to its name, take your time to browse as things aren't always clearly displayed and you never know what you might find.

Digger's name really suits it - the more you dig for treasure, the more you find! I'm not suggesting you rummage around in here like a dog digging a bone into the ground - Digger's stock is well organised despite its confined space, and although there's a large number of items they're all ordered conveniently for the customer. There are a lot of affordable earrings in here, from beads and hoops to ones with Disney characters! I also appreciated the Troll earrings in here - they were tiny, cute and took me back to when I was a kid. Aside from the enormity of the jewellery collection, Digger also offer a range of notepads and gifts in general. As Eleanor said, they have a good card range and some ideal birthday fillers. I noticed they had some gorgeous notepads and scrap books remarkably like the super high quality stock in Paper Tiger - might even have been the same range. And I think Digger were selling them a bit cheaper, as well. They're the kind of books I'd love to write a novel in, but I would likely just end up doodling all over them. Which is ok since the pages are decorated with elephants and offer enough space for you to sketch to your heart's content. The gentleman manning the desk in here was friendly and helpful. A nice store in a nice area, shouldn't be overlooked when you're looking for gift inspiration.

Digger really isn't my kind of shop. It calls itself a gift shop and sells plenty of little trinkets, ornaments cards and books. The problem is that a lot of it is quite gimicky and pointless. If you're looking for something of decent quality or which has real use then this isn't where you want to go. I don't want to slate the place too much because plenty of people are obviously fans, but I wouldn't exactly be chuffed if I got a gift from here. Having said this, the staff are friendly and girls seem to love the jewellery which they have on offer. Further it feels quaint and welcoming inside with an Aladdin's Cave sort of vibe. Not for me, but still worth a look it sounds up your street.

I love small, independent and most of all quirky shops. That describes Digger perfectly - its full of brilliant little gifts, books, jewelry, ornaments and trinkets - all of which are fabulous and brilliant to look at. Its great for quirky and unique birthday gifts, and you can never be sure what you will find. The owners are super friendly, and are always willing to help you or find something you want and that everything is cheap so that adds to an already great experience. Its really a good little place, and I feel that this review really doesnt do it justice - my advice is to go and see for yourself, you will be as charmed as I am.

First things first, I would never buy anything from Digger. This is merely a matter of personal preference, not a personal vendetta. I admire its sunshine coloured exterior, the quaint hanging decorations, handcrafted cards and eye-catching ornaments etc. It's just simply not my thing. The appeal may be to mothers and daughters, they would love this 'twee' shop as my Mum would say.

Their floral arrangements were…read moreabsolutlystunning, and they delivered them straight to our door that morning by a very kind staff member. As we were marrying from out of the country, the ease with which we were able to get our florals chosen and delivered was invaluable. They are fairly priced, organized and have a real eye for color and texture. For the color schemes, we chose an "Islay" bridal bouquet and "Iona" buttonholes, combs and bridespeople bouquets. Thank you for helping our wedding day turn out so perfectly! (Photos by Meggy Mac Photography)

I discovered Narcissus Flowers on Instagram when choosing vendors for my wedding. I immediately…read morewas blown away by the beauty of their work- it's like no florist I've ever seen in the US. I love that they are a local small business and every time I see a post from them I immediately get "heart eyes." I wish I could visit their shop in person because it looks breathtaking, and I'd also love to take some of their beginning classes in floristry. Fiona was our florist for our wedding, and I will mostly just let the photos of her work speak for themselves. Absolutely breathtaking. I requested a colorful bouquet with a lot of texture, scottish thistle boutonnieres, lantern centerpieces, and a beautiful flower shop style setting for our ceremony. Fiona delivered and then some. I think flowers in the UK are just better and of more variety than in the US, and the eye for floral artistry is just infinitely better. I showed Fiona a photo of a tropical bouquet (my original wedding was tropical.. it's a long story) that was my dream bouquet. It had a lot of color and some beautiful trailing ribbons. Fiona ordered the most amazing hand-dyed silk ribbons from Heirloom Silk Ribbons.. they added such a wonderful boho touch to my bouquet, and made the bouquet just that much more special. I personally have an obsession with attention to detail, and Fiona's attention to detail was just so incredible. To top it off, there was a mishap with the original geometric terrariums she had planned to use for my centerpiece, and while I was completely fine with the suggested changes, she went over the top and made even larger, more extravagant centerpieces for me to make up for it. Oh my gosh.. they were just so stunning. I originally was going to go minimal on the flowers because they can be so expensive, but I found even these high end florals from Narcissus to be so affordable and absolutely worth every penny. My husband was skeptical, as a man who doesn't fully understand the draw of flowers.. but when he saw what Narcissus created for us, he knew that every detail and every penny was absolutely worth it and then some. I think in the US, flowers such as these would have been 2 or 3 times the price, and would have come along with some pretty rude service. I cannot recommend Narcissus flowers highly enough. Stunning is the best word I can use to describe Narcissus. They are truly a one-of-a-kind shop, and when I see what they are posting it instantly makes me feel good. That's what flowers should be- they of course don't last forever, but that feeling they give you when you are admiring their beauty is absolutely worth it. Flowers, especially of this high caliber, just bring pure joy and beauty.

This kind of stuff doesn't really float my kind of boat but I did see a really pretty dark wood table at £95 that I quite liked. They stock lots of little accessories such as crystals, jewellery and candles and the staff are really helpful too. Upon entering, there was certainly that free spirited vibe - they were playing the Cocteau Twins and the shop keeper was really relaxed. But that only made for a better browsing experience (and I LOVE the Cocteau Twins so I was happy). Yes, there are loads of carved wooden ornaments and chairs, hanging beads and dream catchers, but there are also some lovely rustic homewares, trendy candles and some truly gorgeous ornate wrapping paper. They have a range of cards and some lovely stuff for the kitchen, including plaid patterned coat hangers and pretty ornaments. So even though it has the 90s hippy vibe, there is more variety than you may think if you care to enter. The shop assistant was absolutely lovely and her laid back approach left me free to browse to my heart's content. I came out with cactus candles which are awesome but too nice to burn!
