If you have unlimited time and money, then this is the dentist for you. But if you are economy/budget minded, you'll need to steer clear. I called to request a CLEANING and was never told that the first visit is consultation only; I would've steered clear! In their lengthy paperwork I filled out, I clearly stated that I had to leave my beloved dentist due to an insurance change and the out of pocket charge was now too much: this should've *double* prompted them to explain that they are a luxury dentist, not an economy dentist. (I have no issue per se with luxury dentists; it's just not what I was looking for.) I CLEARLY STATED THAT I WAS THERE FOR A CLEANING. What I got was a lengthy consultation, which, yes, was very time generous; something I would have appreciated greatly if I were a trust fund baby. But I'm not. So I ended up spending $200 for a written quote for a 5-office visit that would cost $1600 (total) out of pocket. Wuuuuuuuuut? Then they sent me home, WITH NO CLEANING, after arguing with me that every patient needs a fluoride treatment, and that if I were against root canals, that "we were not a match." [Ok, finally something I could agree with!] Again, they just should've explained their approach upfront, when I asked for a cleaning, and a cleaning only. Then there would have been no problem. Post script: I obviously needed to be steered towards finding an IN NETWORK dentist... which I did, after this expensive mistake. And what a good move! My new, in-network dentist got me in the very next day. My cleaning cost me nothing out-of-pocket, not a cent, and their plan for going forward is going to cost me less than 500 out-of-pocket, for everything they do this whole year. (And they only push fluoride onto kids "who don't brush well"...and no root canal will be involved!) It was just an expensive dumb mistake on my part -- but they could've avoided it all when I just made that first phone call for a cleaning. This is what upsets me. Again, I'm sure Dr Diez is a lovely dentist for the privileged, who expect top notch catering, and have ample time and money to invest. read more

I'm a sensitive patient and am treated with utmost respect. They take extra care to make sure I don't have pain when my teeth are being cleaned...that takes extra time and effort but they do it without me having to ask. We recently took my 95-year-old mother-in-law in for her first dental appointment in years...maybe decades. Very professional and very friendly. My husband had his 1st visit with Dr. Diez about a month ago and came home spouting praises for her for a day and a half. Well, he's had some bad dental experiences so he was very glad to find a dentist he really likes. Among his numerous accolades for Dr. Diez, he mentioned that he was taken right back when he arrived. She doesn't overbook her time like many dentists do. He said the exam was very thorough and she explained everything. He liked that she discussed options and possible outcomes of each. Because he was sooo impressed, I decided to try Dr. Diez as well even though I get free dental from my current employer, (I'm a dental hygienist). It was a tough choice to to pay instead of have free work, but my husband was right to rave. She is warm and friendly. She loves what she does. She is not all about money like some dentists. She has a small office which has high quality equipment and materials. Her X-ray machine is the best I've ever seen... And it's digital so very low radiation. She is not about quantity of patients coming thru she is focused in providing top quality care. The office will not try to upsell you. I was also impressed that they give each patient fluoride included in treatment, if your insurance pays great, if not, no charge. That's pretty rare in what has become a "production-oriented" dental field. The staff is terrific. Only 4 people total. They greet you warmly and they know their stuff. You will be treated like a friend here. The hygienist is very thorough and has very impressive training and experience. It seems Dr. Diez has chosen like-minded people to represent her office. Something is going right in this office, starting with the friendly and efficient office staff to Dr. Diez herself. I love that the office runs on time. My family has had 6 appointments so far and each one started right on time and ended approximately one hour later. Dr. Jolene Diez obviously takes immense pride in her business and her profession. Her clinic is welcoming, comfortable, and very clean. Her staff all have exceptional customer service skills, especially Kathy, who has been incredibly helpful and sincere from the first call. I actually came here as a cash patient for a 2nd opinion after a horrible experience at another dentist my HMO sent me to. To my surprise, Dr. Diez herself called me back for my exam, gave me a tour of her clinic and introduced me to her staff. She immediately put me at ease and was incredibly thorough, attentive, and personable. She took pictures of my teeth and showed me charts to make sure I understood everything. She gave me a very reasonable plan of action, with different options based on my comfort level and budget. She did not try to bully me into unnecessary procedures like the other dentist. It's obvious she does not see each new patient as a big money sign like some other clinics- instead she invests in building long term relationships built on a solid foundation of trust, and it is so appreciated and refreshing!
