Diehard Soft Wash business was started in July of 2025 when I, John MacLean, had seen a need in my community for exterior cleaning. I wanted to help give back and provide a service where there seemed to be a lack of professional cleaners. See, my father was on hospice and dying from cancer that he had wrestled with for close to 20 years and the last job my father had asked me to do was power wash the exterior of his home. I set a day aside, and that morning proceeded to pressure wash the home. Little to my surprise, the pressure washer wasn't really cleaning the home like i had expected, the grime, mildew and algue on the surface just wouldnt cpme clean, so after a few hours of fighting I shut down the pressure washer and set out on a mission to figure out the best method to us to clean the home using my 2.5gpm Simpson pressure washer. So after a few weeks of studying and putting a plan together. I came back to cleaning the home, but this time with a downstream injector and some sh.

Meet the Business Owner: John M.

I was born in upstate NY to a working class family. I was the 2nd from the youngest out of 7 children. My father was a Mason by trade and my mother was a stay at home mom. I grew up with a strong desire to work with my hands doing my hard labor jobs working for my father. Over the years he taught me many skills in carpentry and masonry and eventually I ended up doing the majority of carpentry for that business. I 2007 I moved my family to the state of Kentucky but was only able to find part time work with a partially retired carpenter so I ended up starting up my own business located out of Olive Hill. After 6 years of that I landed a job in the electrical industry and worked there for 7 years. After that I started working from home for a large company doing customer service where I had learned other skills, from computer systems, customer service and sales. I left that line of work to start up my new business in Pressure washing after the passing of my father to honor his life.
