However, even after her hard work of translating, we still did not know what to get so we went with her recommendation. She recommended the ravioli with potato side, which is a Swabian staple. This was the first time I had this dish so I did not know what to expect. Man, it tasted gross but I tried to eat it to stay open-paletted and be a true worldly eater. Finally, I had to give up because I started to feel nauseous. The meat was supposed to be beef, my favorite kind of meat, but it tasted like....a type of meat I have never tasted before and never want to taste again. Staying true to my attempt to keep an open-palette, I did try this same ravioli dish again at another restaurant and it was good at the other restaurant. The döner box itself is standard, nothing exciting really, but the salads are actually pretty impressive. They are large, fresh, and not overly dressed. Pizza isn't exactly up to NY standards, but it's fine. The crust is like a crisp-bottom medium thickness; not thin like a NY or true margarita-style, but not doughy like what you would get at a Papa John's or a Pizza Hut. It doesn't really have a good match to any style of American or italian pizza, but my salami pie was hot, crispy (not soggy) on the bottom, and the sauce/cheese/toppings were all decent. If you're expecting pizza nirvana you're not going to get it, but this will definitely scratch your itch. Note: Seating is limited, but they do have some, and they seem to do a very brisk take-out business.

I lived in Stuttgart 18 years ago, and this stand was my go-to stop when I was in the mood for a crepe. During a recent return trip, I had wondered if there'd be any chance this place was still in existence. Admittedly I walked a bit faster out of the hauptbahnhof and across the street to where I remembered the stand being, and lo and behold-- there it was! I was reunited with my favorite classic crepe-- lemon and sugar-- and it was as delicious as I remembered! They have several options, the line moves quickly, and it's priced right for a quick snack on the go.
