I've been to a lot of restaurants around Germany, but this has to be the best. The food was wonderful, along with nice, friendly service (they got the wine wrong, but they did put it right without an argument - which in Germany is verging on the miraculous) and between courses they kept giving us stuff we hadn't even ordered (you've got to love that). A seasonal menu with a balanced mix of innovation and classics, accompanied by a really good selection of wines to suit most pockets and the most indulgent dessert I've ever eaten, I have to recommend this to anyone who's had their fill of Thai and Schnitzel. Wow, this was probably one of the best meals I've ever had. You have the option of 3 or 4 courses. Everyone gets the same 3 courses that Chef Ingo prepares for the night but the 4 course option includes a soup course. I went with the 3 course option, which included an amuse bouche of fresh baked bread with a selection of meat spreads; prawns and mussels over cous cous with a sweet mustard sauce; raspberry sorbet palate cleanser; filet (prepared sous vide to medium rare perfection) over basil risotto; chocolate mousse, mango "puffy" (mango ice cream wrapped in some sort of gelatin coconut dough heaven), and melon ice cream. It was heavenly. Even with all the courses, the servings were generous but not excessive; I left full and satisfied, not gluttonous. After 2 glasses of wine each and one of the best meals I've ever had, I was pleasantly surprised when the bill was less than $100 per person.
