I had arranged by phone a "fitting" for new golf clubs with a gentleman in their golf department two days ago (Monday afternoon) for today "Wednesday after lunch" and was told to meet with Kevin. Today, I drove 90 miles and was the only customer in the golf department (and almost the entire store). First, a woman named Bobbie started talking to me and explained she was not really a golfer and had limited experience on fittings. Kevin arrived in the fitting room and told me that he had (some kind of) "applicant-orientation" and that he would not be able to do the fitting, however, Bobbie could help me. And, if Bobbie had any questions, he could make himself available for her. I ask him if he wasn't aware of my appointment? And, he said that he was not informed about that. Then he looked at my old clubs (which I brought in) and told me he would not be able to replace those. I said, well - I am here to buy new clubs. We went back and forth on my fitting and his job applicant, and it was clear he did not want to be bothered at that time, but continued to say Bobbie can do it, even though she has never fitted anyone before. Again, nothing against Bobbie - she was very polite - but she was admittedly unqualified. So, I just said I would go somewhere else -- and there was absolutely no objection on their part. Whether it were my old clubs or the job-applicant, it did not matter -- he had no interest in helping (even though I was about to drop $3,000 to $5,000 - whatever the amount for a whole new set of clubs). read more

Was very disappointed with this Dick's Sporting Goods, we are in one of the best fishing areas in the country here in Twin Falls Idaho and this store does not sell any fishing gear. How pathetic is that, will not be back!!! read more

So, I was having issues with the website the other day while looking at buying a treadmill so I bypassed technology, went old school, and picked up the phone and called the store - Jackie answered and could not have been nicer or more helpful! She was so wonderful, funny, and had all of the information I needed to finally buck up and buy the treadmill I'd been spying for a few weeks. My husband and I drove down for curbside pick up the next day and it was a seamless operation - even though everyone looked like bank robbers with bandanas around their faces for safety, us included. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and they are doing a great job at keeping people safe and healthy during these weird times. read more

Picked a well functioning youth mountain bike of the rack for my nieces' birthday, about to pay and leave the store but came to find out that can't take the bike home because the only guy that needs to do a " SAFETY INSPECTION " on bike called in and not any other person could perform this said inspections!!! Not even the Manager!!! Simply kept repeating I understand but nothing that i can do ! Did not even bother to call any other higher up management My concern why are they even on the rack for sale if not safe ?! Why the sales operations must be stopped because of a safety inspector whom decided not to go to work any given day ?!! How many other bike customers were turned away? Very bad customer service trying selling me shotgun rounds for the price of 10 boxes when I bought a case which is usually cheaper as it's buying in bulk so I bought them called customer service and they told me it was $19 dollars cheaper than what I payed for it so I took it back and they only took off $12 dollars on a so called manager discount which is stupid as that still paying more than actual price......all I can say is these people don't seem to have enough training and person who checked me out was rude and didn't even listen to me definelty not shopping here. Ordered a large order online. Due to processing issue part of our order was delayed/canceled. Representative helped me find this location that had all of the items we were looking for. The staff in the store was very helpful helping us find everything quickly and honoring all original sale prices we originally paid without me having to make a sink about it. Cashier who helped us check out was very funny and told my daughter how to use the snow toy we'd purchased. read more

The store is a typical big-box store. Clean, organized, bla bla bla. With that said, I cannot bring myself to pay close to $70.00 for a Nike hoodie (made by a seven year old in Hong Kong no doubt), or $40.00 for Adidas basketball shorts. I can't. There's a reason why Amazon.com is leading the charge into the 21st; because I can get a hoodie for $15.00 made just down the hall from the seven year old in Hong Kong. Decent selection and decent prices. Unfortunately 3 of the 4 times I've been in there customer service has been incredibly lacking and I've all but been ignored. If you actually need help finding something or have questions good luck tracking down a sales associate. I did have someone help me find appropriate running shoes but he quickly vanished and I had to track someone else down in order to see if they had my size in the shoes I wanted to try on.
