If you have a size 10 to 12, it is hard to find a pair from time to time, still always worth checking. There are some diamonds in the rough. They used to carry more sporting goods and fitness products, but slowly phased them out for mostly shoes and clothes. I hope that this review does not really start sparking up a lot of interest so I can no longer find these deals! We needed some help, but there was nobody around. We went to the register, the lady admittedly said she didn't j ow how the Tilly hat adjusted. At $95.00, happy to get it, however, he wasn't quite comfortable with how to adjust it. We went back to loo, at others, I showed him another brand, it seemed easier for him to adjust. It was lighter fabric, covered his ears, and he was comfortable with it. We went to purchase it, the line had one register person and was 6 people deep. They finally called others to check people out. This helped. The store is pricey, no help and long wait at 10:45 am on a Wednesday. It offered no value that I couldn't get online next time. We could've easily ordered a few and returned what we didn't like. I love to support retail brick and mortar, but this experience does not provide a reason with no customer Service and a waste of time! The store was clean. That is a plus. Another plus, getting there at 10 a.m. when they open, parking is reasonable.

I had a question about the item so I called and spoke to the sales girl. She was very helpful answering my question so I ordered it. Shipping does make the item cost a lot more BUT it is not the fault of PIAS, it's just the cost of shipping which is beyond their control. I ordered the racquet on the 5th and received it fast. I think about 5 days later or maybe 4. Good that they promptly boxed it up and shipped it out to be out here in Southern California. I ordered a racquet from PIAS in North Carolina but and received the same great service and answers to my questions when I called them. I wanted to leave a positive Yelp review for the NC location but I didn't see a Yelp review page for them so I couldn't leave one. There is a local PIAS in Pasadena that I went to years ago and visited again a couple days ago to check out the tennis racquets. They have a nice selection of racquets there but not one I was looking for. I'll keep my eyes open for that location for racquets. I am an avid tennis player and like to try different racquets out of curiosity and PIAS usually has a nice selection to chose from. Actually the one I bought from the NC location was the first racquet I purchased from PIAS and it won't be my last. Well it wasn't my last because I got the one from the Ohio location but what I mean is I'll continue to buy from them as long as they have good selections and reasonable prices. I prefer to find it at the local location as not to pay for shipping but it's okay if I have to pay for shipping if I really want it but my first choice would be local. Actually the first racquet I bought from them was a Wilson Pro Staff 85 because I saw it and wanted it because I had one in the 90s I sold and wish I hadn't, so now because I was able to buy it from PIAS I now have a replacement for a very special racquet I used to own. I may not play matches with it because tech wise it's no match with my opponents but I will keep it for sentimental reasons and sometimes I'll rally with it. The Head Radical I bought from the Ohio location is really nice and I will be playing matches with it. There were a few scratches and scuff marks on it but that is to be expected with a used sports item BUT it was still in good condition and very usable. Great shopping chain.

This store, though, made me forget, for the few minutes I was there, buying some boots, that I was in the middle of that mind-numbing, world-weary place. Great service, great selection, a real throw-back to a time when shoes were truly a specialty item, sold be trained personnel. I walked in with low expectations and left with wings on my feet. Not wing-tips. Wings. Comfortable boots, waterproof, ready for the poop-storm of Ohio's "shoulder season" weather, when snow becomes ice becomes slush becomes mud becomes more snow. (I even, for a moment, dreamed that I were walking out of that store, onto a cobblestone lane, and could almost taste the pint awaiting me at the pub, just opposite. Damn. Wrong, again.)
