Watch out! Every time i have been to Dick's Sporting Goods in Lincoln I end up paying more than expected. Last night I bought an item that was "on sale". When I paid the cashier over charged me. Based upon past experiences in this store I had taken a photo of the price tag and showed it to him. He agreed it was on sale but could not give me the sale price. Ill never go back. I was also scammed on the Credit Card deal. Do not fall for the SCORE REWARDS Credit card. Never again read more

I ordered a shirt on line and it arrived within 3 days and the shirt was exactly has described on Dicks on line store. Loved it!

They say their system will not accept returns on purchase make with a "prepaid card" like Cash App and Venmo card which are technically debit cards. Never heard of this before. Nowhere is this in their return policy. They need to update their system, absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. Did nothing to help me. read more

I don't know if i've ever more rude employees. Especially the female employees. a simple transaction of returning a pair of cleats apparantly warrants an attitude. Horrible customer experience. Disrectful employee. I wanted to contribute to local brick and mortar companies but maybe I will stay with Scheels or purchase online. This is just my personal experience I'm sure they have many exceptional employees but one bad apple ruins the whole bunch in business. read more

I don't understand why everyone is so excited about this store opening. I went in there on the first weekend and not one person greeted me. There wasn't one sign up that said anything about a Grand Opening sale or any specials. So I walked over to the golf shop and they don't even carry Titleist. Hello? Are they crazy? I'm not actually a supporter of this chain but I was here in Lincoln during the Polar Vortex weather and I needed a nice set of gloves. Although the glove section was ravaged I was able to find the same set of Under Armor gloves I found online. On top of that, I was greeted and walked directly to the glove section as soon as I entered the store. Upon checking out, the cashier even helped me save 20% on my purchase which I greatly appreciate. This was a fantstic exsperience. read more

Well I received pretty poor customer service today at DICK's. I went in to pick up some fishing supplies and 4 employees were occupying the aisles in camp chairs marking down some products. One employee asked if he could help me find something. I replied that I was hoping to browse the fishing section but maybe I would need to come back another day. His response was "okay, sounds good". I decided to let the shift manager know about the interaction and he agreed that it wouldn't make a customer feel welcome, valued or inclined to do business at a store but offered no resolution. I encouraged him to discuss with his employees how to treat customers, left and drove to scheels. Typically I receive average customer service at Dick's but the employees are not knowledgeable and the selection is very limited. I wouldn't recommend doing business there and hope that they can continue to train their employees on appropriate customer service so they don't lose more customers like me. read more

I'll have to admit at first I was excited that Dick's was coming to Lincoln, but that soon changed. On the opening weekend my wife and I went in there looking for Hockey equipment for our son and found none (we had seen it in other Dick's locations so assumed we would find it here) we asked a store worker and he said since they were new they are still trying to figure out the market and what sells. I explained to them that Lincoln has a huge Junior Hockey league with several hundred kids playing and also a USHL team. He said he would pass on that information. I heard from another friend that he asked again about hockey equipment after needing items and not finding any and he was told that "they pass on the information...but no one seems to care what the customers are asking for"....Also I recently was in the area and I have been looking for a new Archery Bow and I knew they at least had an archery department....they had ONE bow in stock...not much of a department. I have no need to shop in a store that isn't concerned with the wants and needs of the customer...I'll gladly take my money across town to Scheels or to Cabelas. read more

First time visit to the store and people are throwing footballs at people and hit my wife in the back. Contacted a manager and they did nothing. Will not return due to lack of professionalism. Will continue to patron Scheels and Cabelas. read more
