So my question is simply this - why do you consider yourselves a "golf store" if it takes you nearly a week to perform a 30 minute task. Your service is S**T. A$SHOLES !!!!!!

Nick helped me understand the various shaft options and after trying several shafts, we found one that works well with my swing. He also checked the loft and lie of all my irons and was able to reset to factory specs. If you are looking for a very knowledgeable, personable, honest, and good listening Club Fitter, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Nick Piening to you. I will return to see Nick, for an iron fitting, when I return next year. In addition to Nick, Bill in the club repair shop does an outstanding job. I have never seen a more inept staff anywhere. I ordered my new putter...$650. I was told 4-6 weeks. I asked for it to be delivered to their store so it would not get lost. HUGE mistake number two. I contacted the store in the middle of week 5. Was told the putter had shipped (Thursday), and would be in that afternoon as fedex was delivering it. They would call me...NO phone call that day. Went to the store the next day (Friday). Was told it was coming in that day and they would call me...NO phone call. Went in the next day (Saturday). Clerk totally confused so he called their customer service desk. Customer service said it should be delivered that afternoon. They would call me the second it came in...again NO phone call. Went in Monday...5 days after they told me it would be there on Thursday. Was told by Kevin the manager it would be in that day and I could come in Tuesday to pick it up. He PROMISED to call me when it came in since they had yet to follow thru on that promise. Kevin swore he would call me that day. NO call. I assumed it was there since that is what Kevin told me. Worked Tuesday so I went in Wednesday excited to finally get this putter I had been waiting SIX weeks for...it was getting a different shaft, not too complicated I thought. Well, went in Wednesday and not only was it not there the manager said the order wasn't ready and hadn't shipped yet!!! That was the last straw. I told the manager to refund my $600+'s. He said well his putter took over 6 weeks to get acting like I was being unreasonable. Dude, just give me my damn money back...putting a new shaft into a putter shouldn't take 6 weeks. He put the money back on my card. Well here I am three days later and no money. Stay away from this store. It is poorly run, poorly managed and the staff is poorly trained. When I eventually get my damn money back I'm heading to Edwin Watts, should have done that to begin with. The manager was Kevin and the putter was a LAB. Not sure LAB is anymore competent than the PGA tour store. Worst service I have ever had. DONT LIE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. I work at two courses in Hilton head and live in a community that has two courses. I will be spreading the word about the incompetence of that crew in that store. They should be embarrassed. I won't be doing business with LAB either...6 weeks to get one putter getting only a different shaft. They can't handle their business either. Couldn't give this store a zero rating so had to give it a one...it was a ZERO.

They had offered quite a few opening day offers such as putting contests, gift cards for the first (?) people. (I heard some people waited a while in line for the store to open and only received $10 off). My wife and I wanted to see if they had any specials on clubs. She still has a starter set and is looking to get something geared towards her game. We went back with one of the associates (golf pro from their Charlotte store) who put her on the simulator. She was there for at least an hour while the pro evaluated her swing, grip, stance, etc. Essentially she got a free lesson. But of course it wasn't free since we did purchase 4 clubs to begin the transition. She loves the new Big Bertha Reva's and hope to continue finishing up the set. They had some specials and quite a bit of clothing and accessories. They will now compete with Worldwide and PGA Store. It would be nice if the clubs could be discounted by store discretion. Apparently prices are set by the manufacturer.

Golf Galaxy is a nice store with a lot of golf equipment and clothing. I was looking for a new…read moredriver and stopped in to hit some clubs that I had in mind after doing much research and reading on the latest and greatest. I told the gentleman what I wanted to try and was told I "had" to have an $80 fitting in order to try "new" clubs. The $80 would go to the cost of the new club. If I chose not to purchase I would be out $80 apparently. I did not want a fitting but they insisted the only way I could try new clubs was to have a fitting. I have played golf close to 40 years and have a really good idea of what I like and don't like. I have been "fitted" on several occasions and the results have never been great. However they insisted I must have a fitting to even try their precious new clubs. I left there and went directly to Edwin Watts Golf. They handed me every club I wanted to try, let me hit balls without bothering me, weeded out the ones that didn't feel right, picked the one I liked and was on my way in less than 45 minutes with a new Callaway. And my do it myself fitting has provided a driver I hit way better than anything I ever got from someone else telling me what was "best" for me.
