I went in looking for a good walking shoe which I was told were Hoka's. The two people in there were very short and to the point. Not even recommending other shoes since what I was looking for was not in stock. Needless to say I walked out after the young kid handed me a size 7 after I asked for a size 6 and disappeared after handing me the wrong size. I want to express my appreciation for the way I was treated in your store today. The four young people that waited on me in different ways were all so respectful. 1. The door greeter was pleasant both when my husband and I came, and when we were leaving. 2. A young woman came out of the back room, I guess she heard us talking and asked if we needed help. I didn't at the time. However, shortly afterwards I realized I did need help and Josh came and brought me the shoes I was looking for. He helped both myself and another gentleman at the same time seamlessly. He didn't put either one of us off, but gave good pleasant responses, and help where needed. The young lady at the front checking us out was very nice also. As a 64 year old I'm not easily impressed. But I truly want to credit these four young people for their good manners. Have been into the store at least five times only once did I feel like I had Customer Service or anyone that even approached me to the other systems. Can't say I'm impressed with the quantity of product. Or the way the stores later. Mostly clothes in team sports camping and fishing department is pretty limited in the shoe department to be a slip it in as well. I was so excited when we got a Dick's in Corpus, having shopped there extensively when I lived in West Bloomfield, Michigan. I had a question about a specific product I was seeking, that's listed on their website, but couldn't locate in the physical store. Clean and well organized. Staff was friendly and helpful. I went in looking for a Camelbak Groove and they helped me find it quickly. They actually had multiple colors and types of Camelbak products as well as their cleaning kit. I also looked at a few heart rate monitors but did not feel pressured to buy. This is a relatively new store and it's really nice. I went and was just looking around. I found a couple of things that had to be unlocked from the glass case and the employees were very nice and helpful. I wound up buying something and then realizing that it wasn't what I thought it was when I got home. I brought it back and had no problem getting my money refunded. Hostile vibe from management. I Went a few times this past week for fishing gear, weights & I didn't see a name tag but what looked like a female manager( middle aged Hispanic girl) was super on edge or something. As I was walking in I could hear her talking to what seemed like employees on a radio or microphone & being really hostile & rude. I feel bad for the workers that work here if that's how she speaks to them. The few times I go I always hear her speaking negatively to other workers, nothing positive just a bunch of negative things coming from that women ! I refuse to shop at an establishment that speaks to their workers with such hostility. I own my own restaurant in rock port & would never speak to anyone of my workers that way. I was very uncomfortable shopping. I will not be shopping at this location anymore! I will stick to academy & even bass pro shop as the environment is far friendlier than what I've experienced at this location read more

Love the store, it's always very clean and when I need a dressing room someone is there promptly to assist me. My only complaint is that while the amount of brand names is great, there isn't always a large selection of sizes. At least not my size. Other than that I love visiting here! read more

Hello...I am not sure who if anyone will read or handle this situation. My husband and I went into the Dick's Sporting Goods in Corpus Christi, TX to purchase a gun safe. We had shopped around and decided to go to Dick's for our purchase. The first time we were there, a sales associate named Ethan helped us with information regarding the safes, delivery, installation, etc. He was very nice and helpful. In fact, he was probably the reason we went back to Dick's instead of going to Academy or Tractor Supply. So we went back this evening (2/17/18) to purchase the safe. When we got there, the floor model was gone so I went to search for a sales associate for help. There was a man on a cell phone in this room behind the gun counter. I knocked on the door, he must have not heard or something because he didn't turn around or anything. I pushed the button on the counter to get assistance. He came out and offered help. We proceeded to talk about the safe we wanted (which wasn't in stock). He talked to someone on his ear piece and even helped us locate the same safe on your website. Our dilemma was with the delivery/installation. We discussed our options with him (his name was Pete). He informed us that the delivery, either online or ordered through the store, was only curbside delivery. My husband and I were discussing the installation of the safe in the space we have in front of Pete. Pete told us that up where he was from, you could just go to the local Home Depot and hire a couple of Mexicans for 10-20 bucks to do the work for you. They will paint your house or anything. Then he asked if guys just hung out in front of the Home Depot in Corpus Christi, TX looking for work. I said no, then I thanked him for his time and we left. Needless to say, we were very offended. We live in a community that is heavily Hispanic. In fact, most of my family and my children are Hispanic. It was troubling that in this day and age, someone can just so casually be so offensive against any culture, race, creed, color, etc. I am hoping that education and more education and even more education is provided to your staff. Because of this, I will not go to Dick's Sporting Goods again. I will also tell everyone I know about this incident. You claim to support America and Team USA...well some of your employees would seem to not. read more
