The workers in the office are also very kind and helpful most all of the time. Most remember me by name, despite only seeing me once per year. They will gladly take messages for doctor or Robyn so you don't have to spend time and money to come in if the Doc or Robyn doesn't deem it medically necessary. My experience at most other doctor's offices is that the people behind the glass are almost always the worst customer service providers I have ever had to deal with. Not at this office. All in all, this is a great OB/GYN office and I wouldn't go anywhere else if I still lived in the U.P. I've been out of Iron Mountain for going on 8 years now, and only this year will I be switching docs. I am hoping to find an doctor's office half as good as Dr. Cook 's. Robyn is an excellent medical professional and does a great job of making you feel comfortable, safe and never judged, or talked down to. Dr. John M. Cook delivered me, and my brother, via Cesarean section, and has been my mother's OB/GYN for over 25 years. He most probably saved her life during my birth. Additionally, I have been going to Robyn myself for 11 years now. I have been to other providers and have experienced nowhere near the kind of care I had come to expect from my time with these healthcare providers. So, as a life-long patient, I give Dr. Cook's office a definite 5 stars. :)

I brought my daughter here shortly after she was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. I told the ER that my…read moredaughter had been diagnosed with Lyme Disease by a doctor in Escanaba. I had blood tests to prove that my daughter had Lyme Disease and that we were waiting for a referral for Motts Pediatric Hospital in Ann Arbor. The doctor told me that "University of Michigan will do nothing for your daughter" I looked that man square in the face and said, "You aren't from around here, are you?" The doctor ignored the evidence that my daughter had Lyme Disease and sent a report to CPS stating that there was nothing wrong with my daughter despite the fact that my daughter was diagnosed with Lyme Disease by a BLOOD TEST. The people of Dickinson County deserve to have a good ER department with doctors who actually have more than one brain cell. Furthermore, Marshfield Dickinson Hospital should be doing research on ways to identify and treat Lyme Disease because we have a lot of deer and a lot of Lyme Disease. The sad thing is most of the time the doctors in Dickinson County miss Lyme Disease and have no idea how to treat it!

The visit couldn't have lasted more than 7 or 8 min, they couldn't help me with my issue and Dr. Petersons bedside manner was brash, unsympothetic to my issues and she wasnt even able to refer me to another specialist. If you want short, blunt and not really to the point go here but I highly suggest making the trip to see the specialists at Dickinson Hostpital or traveling to Green Bay.

I used to work in the medical field and it is refreshing to know you will see an actual board certified doctor. I have only good things to say about these doctors and their friendly office staff. Not to mention the cool fish tanks with huge fish in them. We are lucky to have them in our area.
