Ordered delivery three time from the dickies store in the villages inside the Walmart. First time everything was great! Meat sliced brisket was moist and juicy and tender. 2nd and third time the meat looked and tasted like it was sitting all day. It was dry and chewy like shoe leather. My husband and I stopped in for a quick sandwich a week ago. Brisket sandwiches were very good and sides were plentiful. Only problem that could arise here is the BBQ sauce station. May not be the best way for people to serve themselves. My husband was almost burned by the steam coming up the sides of the kettles and while dipping some out on his sandwich, the lid slid off the back causing more steam to come upwards. Might want to not have hot sauces, but maybe exchange them for squeeze bottles on tables as we've seen at other BBQ places. read more

Came back for another shot. Ordered pulled pork sandwich, fries and slaw. As I said before, their slaw is excellent. The fries are very good too. Pulled pork had very good seasoning and smoked flavor. My only complaint is that the sandwich bun was overly buttered to the point it was almost soggy. Staff was very friendly and service was quick. I just wish their beans were better. Not ordering beans with BBQ doesn't seem right. However the coleslaw and fries may make me forget about that. read more

I've eaten at a few Dickey BBQ locations around the US. This location ranks about average. I live in the neighborhood, have eaten here a few times. The pulled pork here is very good as is the sausage, the other meats not so much. I seriously suggest you visit earlier in the day - they seem to run out early of a lot of menu items and what's left looks heavily like leftovers. Not the cleanest location, beverage and condiment bar don't appear to be maintained....goopy empty sauce containers. etc. read more

Went to Dickies in summerfield FL last evening. They had no pulled pork and no beef brisket!!! Why were they open? So I opted for wings. BIG MISTAKE! They were only about a 1/2 inch dried out and burnesned. They were horrible! SO PEOPLE DONT GO THERE! read more

Went to the Wildwood location of Dickey's near Brownwood. Very much enjoyed their food they have a nice brisket I'll have to go back and try their other things I can only say about the brisket right now and I enjoyed it very nice sauces that went with the meat as well. They do a pretty good job here. Consistency of product prevent this Dickey's from earning 5 stars Sometimes the meats are very dry, requiring a lot of sauce to enable swallowing. The staff behind the counter are friendly and helpful, answering questions without resenting being asked. And they actually pay attention to the customer, not their phones or just one another. We appreciate that. When the meats are hot and JUICY this place is the best for reasonable priced barbecue. We enjoyed all the side dishes, too. A coworker and I tried this for the first time this week and found it to be mostly disappointing. First of all it is a very small place with only about 20 seats inside. The line moved very slowly even though they weren't very busy and the brisket sandwich I ordered was fairly small for the price. If I pay $6.50 for just a sandwich I would expect it to be larger. We only happened upon Dickey's by accident while doing some banking. The line was slow with only two people behind the counter at lunch time. You need one more person to get things moving. People on lunch breaks can't wait that long. The area is very small, but in The Villages, Florida it is extremely expensive to lease/rent space and that is why many of these places are opting for much smaller, kind of take out places. Not the fault of Dickey's I am sure. As for the food the brisket was very tender and tasty, but was not very hot. The waffles fries were a bit too salty, but arrived hot. The sides were potato salad, beans and coleslaw. The sides are very pricey for the amount you get (one ice cream scoop @$2.50) but the flavor was tasty and what I would expect from a BBQ place. One bonus which we did enjoy was a free vanilla ice cream cone. Nice finish to a little above the okay rating I gave. Note to corp: Serving a community of 120 k senior citizens is not where we need huge meals, but the price charged should reflect the portions you serve and they don't. Dickey's at Grand Traverse Plaza is awesome. Their catering is great - they don't seem to mind processing 60 wildly different lunch orders and they even label it with the person's name so there is no guessing. Plus they will make you whatever unusual combo you like - I highly recommend the coleslaw sandwich which is a bun with coleslaw and Dickey's original BBQ sauce slathered on. This spot has really gone down hill since opening last year or so. I have gone there a number of times since opening and it has been great. That is till the other day. No social distancing, no spaced tables inside, tables were dirty and not cleaned when customers left, not a single sign about anything to do with the virus and no disaffecting equipment for anyone. To the food. I ordered brisket and one rib. The rib was good and the brisket was thrown in the bucket before I finished it. It was dry and hard to eat. The kicker was they charged me more for it with out notice till I requested to know why the check was higher then normal. Because of what is going on I was told. Ok then post it don't just surprise us. Service sucked,up front worker was rude and was so slow I left twice to do other things but came back the third time and wish I did not. Arrived to find no inside seating available which is a bit problematic in this heat. But the real problem is the food. The smoked meats have no smoked flavor and the pulled pork was indistinguishable from the brisket - both were bland and dried out. Waffle fries were hot, but overly salted.
