Their website is via Tumblr (?) which is a surprise. Lessons were $40 / session, and they recommend one session per week (but how long is a session?). Overall, I wish that there was more clarity on this side from time to payment the moment that we signed up. Parking was fairly easy to find on the street or in the lot in the back. However, do note that parking on the street is via metered parking and not free most hours. Return? Potentially for some music books!

When my daughter was about 5 or 6 months, I started looking for classes that I could take her to…read more I came across Little Movers and Shakers and signed her up- and I'm so glad that I did! My daughter absolutely loved attending classes with Cathy (and occasionally Savannah) for the past 1.5 years. At the start of each session, the parents are given a CD or downloadable card to take home that has all the music on it for that session. And the selection of music is always so great. I really like that Cathy tries to include songs from different cultures around the world. They're not just unique to what you might typically hear for children's songs, but they're really catchy too! I still remember songs from our first session of classes and I'll still sing them to/with my daughter. And because the music is always changing, (except for the very upbeat beginning/hello and closing/goodbye song) each class is different (and so fun!). Along with each song, Cathy (and the other ladies) teach the kiddos about different music concepts and they get a change to move around quite a bit in each class. My daughter was always so engaged and excited to be there, and I could tell she really enjoyed going each week. And thanks to Little Movers and Shakers, she really does love music. At home, she's always asking for more songs and for more dancing and she's now trying to sing the songs herself. We gave her a ukulele recently after she seemed fascinated by guitars, and she's had a blast "singing" her own creative little songs. We sadly had to stop attending because my daughter started daycare, but we both miss Little Movers and Shakers! And I know her love of music will continue to grow.
