The lighting is subdued or dark, depending on your point of view. Only had Pride & Bombadier on tap. Outside seating is close to the road, but it's not a very busy road, most of the time. No children are allowed in the bar at all, but I'm not sure if they can sit outside, so if you are thinking of visiting with children, best to ask first. There is a raised seating area to the right and a smaller one on the left. It is wheelchair accessible. It is a traditionally decorated pub with beams and low ceilings, and I found the atmosphere to be very friendly and welcoming. There is a restaurant area and although I did not eat here, the portions did look very large. They sometimes have live entertainment here too. There are picnic tables outside which are ideal for the Summer. Children are welcome until 9pm. I would certainly visit again and would love to try the food next time as it looked delicious!
