The Queen's Head pub is located along Church Road, the first right when entering the village from Chelmsford (last left if coming from Witham).
It is found just off the road, next to the Village Church, close to the Surgery. There is limited off street parking. Further parking can be found at the Village parade of shops, first right as you go down Church Road. The pub is a pretty, traditional style. It has a small, grassed garden outside with a few tables. There is a recently added extension also. Inside there is a very traditional public bar with authentic long tables. The landlord is a real character and very likeable. Real ales are served. The food menu ranges from snacks to dinners and are served in the restaurant area. They are tasty and reasonably priced.
I really like this pub for its traditional style and great landlord. read more
