I went to Holler Nissan to try and sell my Nissan vehicle. They offered me a pretty low price, and when I informed the salesman that I was offered a higher price elsewhere, he was extremely professional and told me to "jump on that offer as soon as you can." While I obviously wish that they would have offered me a little bit more, I understand that they have a business to run and need to make money, and I still appreciated their kindness and professionalism. As such, I would recommend them! They also had a really cool vintage car in the waiting room, which I thought was awesome! read more

If I could give zero stars for this location, I most certainly would. I scheduled an appointment for 9:00am. Upon arrival, there was an extremely long line with only 1 service advisor working. He seemed to be frazzled but trying his best to service all waiting. I was finally checked in by service advisor, Daniel at 9:50am who gave very subpar service. He was very condescending when answering questions and offered no apology for the extensive long wait. This service advisor should not have a customer service position with the type of attitude he gives clients. This was my third visit at this location but most definitely will be my last. I do not recommend this location under the Dick Smith Nissan brand. Highly disappointed. read more

I approved a charge of $130 for an oil and tire rotation. I signed to approve this bill, not an estimate. When I show up to pay, the bill is now $180. I talk to 5 people in the dealership to understand this 40% markup with a justification of sales tax, more and more lies. I can't see the final bill until I pay and I can't get my car. I pay so I can leave and the itemized bill just has a $50 for "Miscellaneous" read more

I took my vehicle to have my alternator replaced in July and in October my alternator had to be replaced again and then in December my alternator went out again. The dealer replaced my alternator with 3rd party alternator and not with a Nissan alternator. The service department kept telling me it would take three months or more for one to come in. I went to dealership to be told by the service manager Mike that Nissan don't make alternator for my vehicle anymore. read more

Went to dick smith (as I've been doing for the past 3/4 years) to service my car. My last time visiting for an oil change I was told that they have "New and Improved" oil changes with additives for a higher price point. (I think the lowest was over $100) Now if I'm normally paying about $75-$80 for an oil change, I'm not anticipating anything higher than that. So I politely asked the service representative- "Am I able to just get a regular oil change without the additives?" I was told NO. I've since confronted this business through the maintenance text that they send to remind me to service my vehicle in which I received a very broad response: I do understand the concern. I can assure you that no underhanded "sales tactics" were being used on you during said visit. Here at the Columbia location we have opted to upgrade our products to the most highly rated manufacturer reccomended oil, based on your vehicle year and model (for the long term benefit of our customers and their vehicles). The Fernandina location has not adopted the same approach which is why you were given a different answer when speaking with them. We generally try and ensure that our customers are presented with a wide variety of options when it comes to their vehicle's care which is why our other Nissan location has remained the same. First- wide variety of options SHOULD include regular oil. The term "highly rated manufacturer oil" is very broad and could be a range of things including "highly rated oil" WITHOUT additives. They avoided answering my question and when I replied with a more direct response, (see below) seeking a simple yes or no, I was met with no response. My response: "Secondly, so you are confirming that the only oil changes you offer are the upgraded ones with additives and there is no option at your "Columbia Location" for a regular oil change. Is this correct?" I will most likely NOT be back to this location and will continue to inform others of my experience. read more

Kaitlyn always exemplifies customer service above and beyond expectations. She listens to her customers and treats them with respect.

Where do I start?? This place does it all. They bait and switch with the price to get you to come in. They have unneeded add ons like seat protection and car tracking for a mere 1400 dollars and dont get me started on the sales manager Todd. The car we look at had some minor damage on the running board that he quoted at 1500 dollars to repair before labor. Plus you had to buy both sides. Come to find out it was only 2-300 dollars for the whole running board and the part that was damaged was less than $50 dollars. Then refused to repair it. What a joke!!Needless to say we walked no we ran from there and would advise anyone eles to do the same read more

dropped car off for knocking noise 2022 Nisaan Rogue, on 29 November 2024 at 07:30. Nissan called and said engine was bad and they have put in a claim. I asked them to call claims and they said they only work with claims through email per claims. I said I am without a vehilce and they need to call. I made an appointment online for 2:15 today. So I pull into the service and I started talking to a guy and he asked me what's going on with the car and I had to tell him the whole thing. And I told him I had a 2:15 appointment. And so then after all that he hands me over to another guy who I had to explain everything again to. So he's putting in my information I told him I already put that in when I made the appointment, and he looked and told me he did not see an appointment for me in the computer . He said you do not have appointment here. He said but even if you did have an appointment you would have to leave it for a few days to even be looked at. So I was trying to show him my confirmation text that showed I had a 2:15 appointment and he goes "Will you just let me finish?"And then puts his head down like I am trying his patience... So rude and why give me a confirmation text?! He asked if I just wanted to get the oil changed and I told him no I want to do everything together and I was not aware that you would have to leave your car for days. I can't leave my car for days I don't have any other transportation. I haven't been here since the last time I got my oil changed in my other Nissan rogue and after the oil change the heat shield was loose and so an old guy with an accent in the service department just put a screw into the heat shield and into the frame of the car. Which seems like that shouldn't be done... I will not be back here for service or to get my next Nissan. I am on my fourth Nissan and would've come here for the fifth one. But not anymore. I forgot to get the rude service advisors name but he's a bald headed with a gray beard. So rude.... I have no idea how they have such a backload of cars as rude as that guy was... read more

This pertains to the Service Department. They had every opportunity to try to upsell me, but they didn't. They provided recommendations of what was needed and when, but offered no extemporaneous services. The prices are very reasonable. My service advisor Mark Didyoung is a true professional and the staff is very friendly. The work was completed to my satisfaction and I was in and out fairly quickly. The waiting area is clean and equipped with coffee, donuts and free wi-fi as well as good work stations, and comfortable seating. I have a very high expectations when it comes to customer service and Nissan service and I was still pleasantly surprised. As a vehicle, I would strongly recommend Nissan over Toyota, Honda or Mazda. The vehicles AND the service are much better. read more

Nissan will give you the run around. I was passed over to Nissan's Consumer Affairs team who (supposedly) replaced my Transmission back in 2019 . The replacement transmission is no good either. In both cases I have taken my car back to Nissan several times and they always turned me away with some other explanation such as: the sensor is coming on due to water in the rear tail lights. I would take this car to them while in warranty several times and they refused to acknowledge the transmission problem, yet went in, without my knowledge and did a reset to my CVT transmission. They only acknowledge the issue when out of warranty, which makes me have to pay. I had to fight with consumer affairs to come to a 60/40 agreement on the first bum transmission and now I am having to fight again. They will do everything in their power to not fix your car's major repairs while the vehicle is in warranty but as soon as that warranty expires they want to fix the major issue at MY expense. If they replaced the first transmission while under warranty I would not be writing this negative review. I spoke to a Joshua this morning over at Consumer Affairs for Nissan and he was extremely pleasant and helpful. Due to my car being in Nissan's shop again I had to call them for my mileage and spoke with a Caitlynn. With all of the notes and documentation of my issues Caitlynn shut me down based on my mileage alone and refused to escalate me to a manager. I have no interest in buying another Nissan after this. I will however continue to pursue them legally to be accountable for this poorly made CVT transmission and vehicle. read more

First, it's worth mentioning that my family and I have had dealings with them as well as other dealerships over many years, so I have high, but realistic expectations of service and support. My college bound son had a 2009 Versa that had trouble shifting gears in the first year. The service manager was polite enough but seemed trained to deny that the very obvious problem even existed. I personally went for a test drive with my son and an extremely rude technician who seemed to imply that we didn't know how to drive! After more complaints they finally acknowledged that it needed a new transmission which to their credit they did put in. After another few years once the car was conveniently just out of factory warranty, we went back with an engine problem and were told we needed a new engine. They were not rude this time, but refused to do anything other than give us a bill for an expensive diagnostic test. I'm not entirely sure if the nightmare experience is more the responsibility of Dick Smith or Nissan themselves, but I found the dealership singularly unhelpful. I very much wish I could rate this dealership less than a single star. read more

Firestone gave me Warrenty on my AC Compressor that I had them replace which failed. I had the car sent over to Nissan to fix it they held my car for a week fixing it and once it was fixed They would not release my vehicle because the Firestone payment hadn't cleared. Fast forward a payment take 3-4 days to process here we are 5 days later after me calling and harassing them they informed me that the payment wasn't done correctly on someone's end and now I have no car for the July 4th weekend and haven't been to work in almost a month now. Friday contact thru BBC dept, great experience, transferred to sales person, Renee. Originally I wanted a specialized truck they had on the lot, only to find that truck could only be financed with Nissan, so I settled. In settling, I agreed to another, signed the contract but didn't take deliver because I rejected the thought of getting another without trading current. Saturday, advised Sales person early morning, Renee, I couldn't agree without trading, she asked if I could wait till after 12 noon, to see if that was possible, I did. Now from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, the host of lies, deception and frankly untruths occurred. In writing that the deal was done, repeatedly stated, then ask for proof of bank deposits; the deal was done, then asking for not bank deposits, but now full bank statements, the deal was done, but now I needed to wait till bank reviewed my bank statement. She lied for more then four hours, it was unnecessary when the truth was easier, that's not salesmanship, it's lying, ultimately I was the same place I was on Friday before the lies started, the lies are in text msg"We have it worked out with proof of income could you please send it to me""He worked it out I'm sorry". The service staff is very uneducated on nissan products, and seem like thy're really miserable. Dick Smith Nissan is certainly a special kind of stupid. I wish I could give a negative star rating. First off, we love our Nissan Altima, however this dealership in particular is straight garbage. My experience with this dealership has been nothing but horrible. First, the salesman.....Johnny Singleton...being active military he made a poor attempt to convince me he was a veteran in hopes to "relate" to me I guess? Only to find out during the test drive that his wife is in fact the vet, and he's simply a dependent. We call that stolen valor in my line of work, and really sets the stage for further contact with this dealership. Second, service.....so we got the warranty that includes oil changes for the time we own the vehicle, sounds too good to be true...it is. When my wife takes her car in they always give her a sheet of items that needs to be addressed. Being a fairly handy guy, I could handle most of the issues myself. Countless times my wife was told that there were issues with her car that I had recently taken care of. I'm not sure exactly what the problem is. Was the tech too lazy to physically check these things? Did he not understand how to perform the checks? Or he just doesn't care and blindly checks the blocks? Most notably her brake pads were listed as "red." So I go and get new pads and when I take the old pads off, I find that there was still over half a pad on the car. Now here is where it gets juicy. We have an extended tire warranty on the car. Again, sounds great. So literally every single check sheet we have since we've owned the car shows all tires in the "green." All of them, every single one, on all of the sheets. My wife picked up a nail in her tire and immediately took it in. I noticed some wear on one of the tires and my wife specifically said to the service advisor, Riccardo Simons, to check that tire. Naturally all tires came back in the "green." Fast forward less than two weeks. I take her car in for an oil change. The same service advisor asks me to come into the shop to check out the status of one of the tires that's miraculously now in the "red." No way. I then explain to him how all of the sheets say they are green. How did it go into the red in less than two weeks. I am then told some runaround story about how the tech "made a mistake." Apparently a mistake that's lasted the duration of our ownership. My wife goes back in to see what can be done about the tire. The service manager, Mike Harper, was less than helpful. Whatever is just below "worthless" is how I'd describe him. So my wife takes up the issue with the used car manager, Ross, I believe was his name. Who notices her tire warranty and literally told her to damage the tire, put a nail in it. So that's exactly what we did. I sank a nail in the tire and my wife pulled back in. She goes in and they already know the deal. Much to our chagrin, the tire is "too worn" to be covered under the tire warranty. So we ended up paying half. Thanks for the discount, assholes. I'm actually embarrassed for them. Never have I seen such a dysfunctional group of clowns. I bet they can give you a good price on snake oil. read more

I am a military wife and had to evacuate GA with 2 small kids due to Hurricane Matthew, when my fuel pump broke down. My husband is Army and was gone in the field, so I was so overwhelmed to break down out-of-state, by myself with kids on a Thursday night. I got Daniel George as my service writer. I do have to say that my car was finished 2 days late and Mr. George was not a good communicator, so I had to repeatedly call for updates during the extended time that my car was there (as I was stuck in a hotel for a week, waiting for my car to be done, every day was a big deal to me). On the very positive side, my car was fixed well. Then, at checkout, I was so stressed out that I forgot to use my military ID for their military discount at checkout. My fault on that completely, I know. I got connected with the service manager, Scott Fairey, to beg for a retro-active military discount and he bent over backwards to thank my husband for his service and personally walk my file over to the cashiers to get it fixed. He apologized that I hadn't felt there was enough communication with Daniel during my service, and asked me to have him paged if he could ever help with anything else. I had initially been frustrated with my experience, but he rolled out the red carpet to make sure I felt really valued as a customer and I left with a smile. It makes you a lot more confident in a shop when there is management that will do anything to ensure that the customer is taken care of. Thank you Mr. Fairey!! read more

Took Rogue in because i had a funny noise from front of car. I thought it might be the Transmission and since i never worked on a CVT i took it in. They diagnosed a bad Serpentine belt and alternator, they also said i had an oil leak and needed brakes and rotors all around. They quoted me almost 3 grand to repair. I told them no I could do it my self. While they were getting my car ready i called their parts department for a quote for an alternator. They told me that it was about 150.00 less then the estaminet from the service department. I tok the car home removed the belt and alt. took and had it bench tested no problem. I replaced the belt and all was fine. and there was no oil on the white paper i left under the car that night. The brakes were getting close i replaced them about a 1000 miles later. rotors still good. and they ran up over 40 miles on it. When I purchased the car that was a different story i give the salesman (no longer there 5 stars) So sales good, service real real bad. read more

I had the worst experience with car service at this place. I went there Monday March 15 to get my ac fixed. I already knew that it was going to be expensive. I was told that it would be 1969.72 to fix my ac went for the compressor. I spent almost everything on that because I can't afford another car. I pick up my car that same day and the air seems to work fine but it made a weird noise but the ac still worked. Literally a week later the ac goes out again. I take it up there to have them look at it again they find another problem which was going to cost me any an extra 1200. My car service repair guy Daniel C George Was very unhelpful and could care less about what I had going on. He seemed annoyed when I asked how is something else wrong with it and you guys didn't know that or tell me that the first time. He even put me on hold in the middle of me explaining to him what was going on. I truly believe this place scammed me cause I paid 1900 dollars for a week of service. Only for them to tell me I had to pay something else not even a week later. Do not spend your money here and do not be helped by Disney C George. read more

I just purchased my 2015 Nissan Sentra in November. In February, the passenger airbag sensor was not working. We took it to Auto Pros (where we purchased the vehicle) and they suggested we take it to a Nissan dealership, because they didn't have the part handy to fix the problem. We took our vehicle to this Nissan dealership, and they charged us $100 just to look at the car, and another $300 to fix the sensor. There had been a 'OCS Customer Service Initiative' for this specific problem, and when I contacted corporate about why I was charged when it should've been covered, they told me they weren't going to pay for it. I had to use my rent money to cover this unnecessary expense on a vehicle I purchased in the hopes that it wouldn't need any major work since it's a 2015. I will NEVER buy another Nissan again! I wish I could go back and choose any other brand. The more I research problems with Nissan, the more upset I get. Seems like Nissan is just a cheap brand that ends up costing its customers loads of money for malfunctions that aren't their fault! read more

Nothing but problems with both sales and service department. I always get runarounds, "my manager is not here, I will have him contact you, blah, blah" and no one ever calls me. This shop brought it to our attention and we called the Dick Smith Nissan service dept. immediately. This review deals directly with Dick Smith Nissan's Service Dept on Two Notch Rd in Columbia. We moved to SC 7 months ago and took two cars to this dealership for service. Both cars are Fords but we live much closer to the Nissan dealership than to the Ford dealership. I called to ask if they could work on our cars. Tricia Mackey was our Service Advisor for both cars so she talked with me on the phone and took care of me when I arrived at the dealership. She was very friendly and professional. Both cars were in need of more than an oil change which we knew beforehand. We previously lived in a small town and the Ford service department there was not very knowledgable so the maintenance that should have been done was not. Tricia explained what needed to be done but did not high pressure me in any way. All the work was completed in a timely manner. One car had to have a part which had to be delivered from the Ford dealership. Tricia apologized for the holdup and kept in contact with me until the work was completed. The waiting area was clean and well stocked with snacks and beverages. There was plenty of seating available plus WiFi and a tv. As I sat in the waiting area I heard another Service Advisor speaking with an elderly woman regarding her car. He was also very friendly, helpful and patient with her. The cashier was friendly as well. I would definitely recommend Dick Smith Nissan. Due to my positive experience with the Service Department we will go to Dick Smith Nissan to purchase our next vehicle. read more
