I then called Woodman's with the original receipt and asked if they could help locate the serial number or provide any assistance. They refused to help, even after the issue was escalated to the corporate level. Amazon could not do anything without Woodman's help, and Woodman's would not assist us. If my daughter had purchased the gift card directly from Amazon, this likely could have been resolved. Instead, we are out the money. I understand that gift cards are like cash, but in this case we had the original receipt, acted quickly, and only needed help retrieving information that Woodman's should have access to. It was very disappointing to feel completely dismissed over a $35 gift card. Because of this experience, I would recommend buying gift cards directly from the actual retailer instead of Woodman's.
