As I was traveling to the Osthoff Resort, I stopped in to get some items. They have a lot of options and fair prices. I'm sure I'm being a bit petty but heads up don't buy alcohol here. The woman who just checked us out was rude, cold and insulting. I tried to joke with her about how I missed my home state of WI and make nice but she was having none of it. She then asked my partner for their ID and we couldn't tell if she was joking but then coldly said if they didn't hand it over we would have to wait outside the store to be checked... whatever that means. She shouldn't be working customer service. So much for the small town WI kindness I used to adore. read more

Where the "French" am I?!? "So this is where you end up when a few family members pass and you haven't seen the rest of your family in 10 years" said one fellow to another. Of course, this missing teeth, no shirt, cut off shorts wearing guy looks back at you like YOU'RE the one who is crazy, you wonder why you don't keep your thoughts to yourself more. I think I finally understand what country people do when they don't have a tv, they go to the grocery store for entertainment. As I walk through the Piggly... (Sorry, I can't stop laughing when I say their name) trying to find something to eat (having a family of carnivores). Also, TRYING not to be bitten by the wild children running amok, I finally reach their produce area and with my wallet and my fingers still intact. I'm immediately taken back by how low their prices are. I look up to meet all of the staring eyes to confirm this amazement. Then I realize they weren't staring at me because of my reaction to the prices, they have been staring the whole time I've been in the store. It's probably because I'm wearing a shirt and am groomed I figured, so I moved on. I stocked up on all kinds of fresh produce, they had everything and plenty of it. I track down my brother, who had some of the same experiences with the locals like I and we make our way to the liquor area to meet the rest of the family. Their snack isles (yes there is more then one) were impressive but not as impressive as their liquor area. They even have a walk in cooler. Prices unfortunately was pretty much the same as back home so I just got what I needed. My only complaint here are the lines. I couldn't understand what was taking so long until I reached the cashier. I'll be nice but I'll just say that I really wasn't expecting to hear this girl's life story along with her family's and friend's. Each item was scanned but only before a story was told... I wished I ate less. I couldn't help but turn to my brother (who was being picked at by some kid fascinated by his fall jacket Like the kid has never seen one, he tries to brush him off but the kid just won't go away) and I start to laugh a little, as if saying "Is this for real"?!? I will say Piggly Wiggly (hehe) has a great selection and great prices, with service that you'll never forget. Be careful of the parking here, the lot gets a little tricky. This review is mainly about the lady in the liquor department. Everyone else in the store was nice. She was so incredibly rude and harsh. I literally just asked her a simple question on if she had a certain beer and she literally screamed "no" super loud and wouldn't even look at me. Someone else said she was super rude last time he was in there as well. You guys need to switch up your staff because she was just not it and you will loose plenty customers because of her horrible customer service. read more

I've never had a complaint about this piggly wiggly, however tonight my mom had sent me in to get popcorn and soda when I went to the checkout the lady scanned all of my items and then when i gave her my money she took it and began to give me the change she proceeded to count my money back to me purposely wrong my change was 9 dollars and the way she counted it out it ended up being 30 and then she did not hand me my bag she gave me my receipt and told me to go enjoy my life rudely, I am only 14 years old and I don't know what she was trying to do or say but it was just plain rude. read more

I have "shopped the Pig" in Plymouth for many years without ever encountering the kind of rudeness described in some of the other comments on this site. I like the store very much and a good part of that is the people who work there. "A grain of salt"--just sayin'. read more

This is a wonderful store in an upscale Wisconsin community. This store is the best of the Piggly Wiggly stores, a respected chain of food markets. The prices are low, yes, and it has more than one snack aisle and a superb liquor store. The customers and staff at this store are obviously different from what this next reviewer seems to be referring to. In all my years I've never seen toothless, shirtless, staring men or wild biting children running amok in this store. It sounds like this person likes to write fiction and needed yet another chance to see his handiwork in print; he has done many, many reviews and all of them are wandering and insulting, just like this one This man is a professional anonymous reviewer, ignorant and egotistical. As someone who lived in Plymouth for the duration of my childhood/adolescence and now lives in Madison, all I can say to Nick M. is *french* off. Checking at Piggly Wiggly was my high school job, and the stereotype you're portraying of both the store, and the town of Plymouth to the yelp community is defamatory and hurtful. Not only are you slandering the many wonderful, hardworking people who work at Pig, but you're incorrectly labeling an entire community as an uneducated hick-town. Plymouth's Pig is by far the best grocer in town, offering fresh produce and meat, as well as reasonable prices. Not only that, but some of the most genuine, wonderful people work there- it's a true local business, and its a place I'm proud to spend my money whenever I visit home. Previous review is cruel. Just how metropolitan are you, Nick? I moved into the Plymouth area within the last few years. I can see the amusement at times with small town rural Wisconsin. However, Plymouth's Piggly Wiggly is far from the "Deliverance like" image. I've lived in cities like Los Angeles and Houston. Plymouth is not a big city, but it has class. With exceptions (as there always are), people have teeth, wear nice clothes, and have other ways to entertain themselves than to criticize the ignorant visitors that clearly hold themselves in way too high of regard for a nice small town. The Plymouth Piggly Wiggly not only offers a walk in beer cooler, but a nice wine selection. The aisles are clean and labels proudly show gluten free and local options. The beautiful part about living in small town rural Wisconsin is there are plenty of organic local items for sale. But some may prefer to shop the ONE chip aisle (just one) for snacks. Nick's review is funny, I laughed... but it's inaccurate. Piggly Wiggly prices are going to be the same whether in Milwaukee or Sheboygan County, only Plymouth's store will be cleaner and friendlier! read more
