I do not review companies but decided people should be warned. Dick Joyce Well Drilling dug a new well for new construction that pulls heavy sand and clay particles. The second well is the same and no co. responseBoth the first and second well built by Joyce Dick Well Drilling are pulling heavy sand and clay particles and ruining everything they touch in the new construction home we built in 2016. We moved in mid December of 2016 and have had nonstop issues due to the dirty water. Upon contact of the company Dennis came out and told us that this is normal, that the two new water filtration systems should have placed a sand filter, and that we need to just let the water run to clear it. The water was "clearing" for about 2 months. The water filtration employees told us there was something wrong with the well. The sand filter placed could not handle that much sand and we have had to clean the filter anytime we use the water for anything. If we need to draw a bath or do laundry or wash dishes the filter needs to be cleaned out 3- 5 times. A brand new chlorinator dechlorinator as well as Rainsoft water filters could not hold up and have been practically useless as well as ruined. We stopped using the dishwasher so that it would not be ruined - the dishes were coming out with a sandy residue/scratched anyway. The white clothes/sheets are gray no matter how much product and bleach is used. Meanwhile I was told that I could purchase another filter from them for 1.7k to deal with this issue, the filter they were offering would not be filtering all the water going to the outside of the house and the sprinklers and would require maintenance. I was told to not use sprinklers on the new sod because the sand could wreck them. I was upset that the company did not test the water before finalizing so that they could have let me know the water was bad and given me the option of drilling deeper. I asked for a working well and offered to pay extra if the water was the same in a different location. The second well was built about 4 months later 20' away at the same depth. No option was given me to go deeper while the same dirty pocket of water was hit. Within the past 11 months we have been living as if we were in a hurricane inside the house calling, waiting, and hoping for a resolution. When calling and speaking with Linda I was given excuses as to why the owner could not call me and then told that she did not know when he would call. After a while Linda did not respond to my phone number when I called so I physically went to the office where she asked me why I did not call before coming. I have asked for the completion reports that are attached and for a resolution. There has not been any response in email or through phone for the past few months. I take care of my mother and have a small daughter. The water situation has placed a heavy burden not only on me, but on my whole family. Since the beginning of this year we have had to deal with low pressure, replacing a washer due to the pressure being inconsistent, dirty water ripping through the house affecting the plumbing, showers, washer, clothes, dishwasher, Jacuzzi, sprinklers, 2 water filters, and our sanity. After multiple attempts to resolve this issue with Dick Joyce Well Drilling Co. we realized they do not care and do not have any intention of taking responsibility. I have had to live without clean water for almost a year and do not wish this on my worst enemy. Before the second well was built I had called and spoken with Dennis about a possible pin hole in the piping and he responded with "No that is not it, we know EXACTLY what is wrong with the well." If this was the case why did they not fix it? Why put me through the same thing twice? Either Dennis was correct and they did the same thing on purpose or they do not know what they are doing. Whatever the case, I do not want another person to have to fall victim to the same problem. read more
