I am giving three stars because of the customer service. Food here is always fresh & consistent. The ambiance is pretty boring as people don't tend to stay & eat there. If you want quiet to eat for lunch this is the place. I walked in only to get a gift card. The employees didn't acknowledge me & saw me standing at the counter. I wold have been fine if someone said they would help me in a minute. One employee who was not working at the counter walked by multiple times & didn't assist me either. It took over 15 mins for me to get a gift card. Even a simple acknowledgment would have changed the rating but I just felt completely ignored. No apology for the wait either. read more

Our GO TO place for subs. So fresh and delicious. I frequent the Perinton store and usually order online. Our order is always ready within the time frame given and ease of ordering is good. Staff is always polite and will answer questions if we have them. DiBella's bread (wheat) is such a treat for us. Also like their special sandwiches they will offer now and again. I asked for a 7inch meatball sub with mozzarella cheese. The sub came out untoasted, cheese still cold, no sauce in it, and with soggy bread. Then i was like, hmm to get this down let me take a sip of my drink! Wrong! The rootbeer was flat, half-full and even tho she put ice in it, still warm. The service was maybe a 4/10. He took our orders and then said "uhh go to the cash register and check out" but when we got there, the cashier had no idea what we ordered and asked us to repeat it multiple times. Ordered two different 10" subs from DiBella's Subs. Both were very fresh and tasty. The subs were stuffed with a lot! One was the Old Fashion and one was the Cheesesteak. They each made two lunch meals. The staff was friendly and attentive. I will visit again very soon! read more

Never had a bad experience here. They are always consistent and their subs are delicious. Their bread is always fresh. Recommend the godfather sub. Compared to other Italian style subs, in my opinion this is one of the best coming from a chain sub restaurant. Their cookies are also quite good! DiBella's is my favorite sub shop. I've heard the big W store bought the recipe for DiBellas bread, they don't compare to real DiBella's bread. Perinton location is a cozy location, staff has always been friendly. They always greet ya with a smile and a good attitude. Subs are of good size for the money and plenty of meat unlike many other places you need to look for meat. online ordering is easy, and their pickup time is usually spot on. DiBella's subs are the BEST subs I've ever had. Nothing comes close. From what I can remember, Wegmans subs were made to replicate DiBella's, but nothing comes close to the real thing. I get a pretty basic build-your-own order, but it's amazing every time. I don't know what makes them so good, but they are just the gold standard. Everyone I know who has been has loved the food there, and those I've introduced the establishment to have similarly praised the subs. The subs are decently priced for how much you get, too. They're so filling. Staff have always been courteous and attentive. TIP: If you're going to order delivery or pick-up, do it through their own online service rather than DoorDash or GrubHub. The prices are rather bumped up on those apps, which I would think steer people away from purchasing. I've never had a problem with their website when ordering either. Bonus: they had a pretty solid system for pickup during COVID times from what I remember. Felt safe picking up my food. read more

This is the only DiBella's that comes up so I want to say the location I've gone to recently is 1876 East Ave in Rochester. They are hot and miss. I had an award for a free small sub which was made correctly and ready when I got there. I was there a week ago and foolishly didn't look in the bag. I was missing a sub. I called and they did make another one and requested a partial refund. That hasn't shown up yet. The time before a drink was missing. Since we order online and everything is in writing. They include a copy of the receipt. The receipt is always correct so I don't understand why it's not checked before they hand it to us. I know check immediately to make sure everything is there. They just need to pay more attention. read more

Now that I've relocated to California, DiBella's remains one of those "things I miss about Rochester". Hot subs, cold subs, big subs, small subs... all available in a variety of generous sizes AND on some damn good fresh rolls. I'm partial to the Dagwood. Fresh turkey, ham and corned beef combined for what I like to refer to as "an amalgamation of delicious land animals". To be serious, the ingredients are all top notch here. Lots of fresh veggies, sauces and toppings are at your disposal and the prices are obscenely cheap. I pretty much always go for the $2 combo deal along with my sub. You can score a fountain drink along with a stupid delicious fresh baked cookie (choc chip w/ or w/o walnuts), or a side mac/potatoe salad. As for service, they always seem well staffed with friendly accommodating sandwich makers, and the restaurant itself is very clean. My review has nothing to do with the actual food. I wish I could give zero stars. I have always enjoyed the Steak subs. Still really like them. It has to do with the RUDE MANAGER at the Penfield Baytown location. I went in with a coupon I had just got in a email. He insisted I already used it. Which I DID NOT ! I had gotten it the day before. IT WAS Only FOR 2.00 off. It had nothing to do with the two dollars. It has Everything to do with the way he was accusing me of already redeeming it in front of other customers which made me very uncomfortable. I would never try to use a two dollar off coupon if I had already used it I told him to keep the sub and I walked out. It's a shame because everybody else that works there is very pleasant. I will never go in there again as long as he's the manager. This isn't the first time he has been rude. He was also rude to a friend that I was with on a different day. She asked if she could pay for extra meat because one side of her steak sub was all bread. And he said NO. So I gave it another try and he made such a big deal about the coupon. So he suggested The Godfather, I tried it on the plain roll, everything on it. Best Sub Ever The bread was unbelievably perfect... the meats and the toppings, no comparison. If you think Subway is good, get off the bench and try this grand slam. If you're from California, you'll never want to walk into a Togo's again. I am sure this is an unpopular opinion but I dont not find this place to be anything special. The prices are high (for a whole tuna sub it cost 15$) and their options are the same as going to any sub place. You can get the same exact things at wegmans and for maybe even cheaper which is crazy to say since wegmans is usually the expensive place. Im not blown away by this place but I guess if you are craving a sub this is one of the only option around with somewhat fresh ingredients. read more

First, It was easy to order and purchase online exactly the sub that I wanted, with the right toppings and bread, and specify when I wanted to pick it up. Second, when I got to the store 15 minutes early, my sub wasn't ready yet. That told me they make them up very fresh. Better yet, a friendly employee made up the sub right away and I was out of the store within a few minutes. Finally, it was a great-tasting sub, as has always been my experience at any DiBella's. As always, DiBella's delivers a great product. I always go with a Godfather on Everything bread. It's amazing and flavorful. The location is clean and quiet wirh lots of booth seating. My son loves seeing the machinery in the front of the store that makes the breads. Staff is courteous and pleasant, even during the lunch rush. Subs are consistently made correctly at this location, even with call-in orders which can sometimes be confusing. Because of quality control, breads and toppings are the same at every location, however, I have always had the best luck and the best subs from the Perinton location. Plaza parking, so lots of it. Wegmans across the street has similar sub product, as they use DiBella's as their bread provider, but really, it isn't the same. You can't go wrong here. read more
