I am in the middle of a bitter divorce and my Ex was informed she could sell our house at anytime…read moreas long as I was kept in the loop. My Ex contacted http://www.bridgeportrealtygroup.com/ and Sheila Messer. We had met with Sheila before and discussed selling the house. Without my knowledge my Ex and Sheila Messer listed the house and started excepting bids without informing me. Sheila never once tried to contact me or get my approval even though she was fully aware that this house was in the middle of bitter divorce. Not only was the house listed it was listed more than $20,000 under its market value in my belief in order for Sheila to gain a quick sale and move on since ex is a teacher with little understanding of business. I found out about my house being on the market, I found out about this via a call from my lawyer that a real-estate lawyer of my Ex's and Sheila's Choosing named Nicolas Parish (http://jfklegal.com/our-attorneys/) that an offer had been made on the house, Needless to say I was stunned! I requested that we pull back and reassess the situation because this is the biggest financial transaction of my life. Instead of doing so my Ex, Sheila and a lawyer of their choosing Mr. Nicholas Parish decided to take this to court and force the sale of the house via court order. In my belief both Sheila and Mr. Parish have put profit above their clients best interest. Mr. Parish was hostile to me from the get go and mentioned numerous times that the sale of this house will go through no matter what and complained about how little he was making on this transaction for the amount of work he was putting into it. Now sheila did admit she made a "big mistake" and was sorry but beyond that shes done nothing to correct the problem besides get my lawyer yes thevlawyer im paying to tell me to stop but remember he is impartial even though he has verbally ordered me to "just sign the papers" without explaination. I've talked to numerous real-estate agents and every one of them said the ethical and right thing to do is have both parties involved in a divorce involved and informed of the sale of a house before it is ever listed, every one of these agents said every agent knows this, period! I am currently looking into filing ethical charges against Sheila Messer and Bridgeport realty group with the National Association of Realtors. I am writing this to let everyone know what transpired and how I was treated I do not know if any laws were actually broken but please keep in mind I was Sheila Messer and Nicholas Parishes paying customers in the end. I am not writing this out of vengeance or a need to attack but out of a need to inform that in my belief the sale of my house the house I designed and built was not handled in a responsible manner nor was the best price sought. I will not discuss this further but keep in mind in the end I was a paying customer, Keep in mind between Shelia Messer and Nicolas Parish they will net thousands of dollars in profit off of this sale. No matter what they use as a defense keep in mind one phone call to me from Sheila or Mr. Parish would have resolved all of this before the house was listed. One has to question why she didn't attempt to contact me and why the house was listed as a fire sale? Hopefully you found this post informative and hopefully you will have a better experience when buying or selling a home.

Sheila and her staff did their research and came up with a listing price I was comfortable with. She held an open house and I had a valid contract a week later. It was a totally painless process. I was very pleased with the price I received and would definitely recommend her services to anyone.

I started out with the naive hopes of finding a diamond in the rough, and after moving every year for about 5 years through college, and finally to Chicago, was ready for a place to settle into for a few years and actually unpack that last box. However, between the researching of places, and the scheduling for viewings, etc. I got overwhelmed . . . and maybe a little panicked at times. I contacted Joanna, who literally removed an enormous weight from my shoulders. She drove me herself to knock out 8 apartments in a day, where we found one that fit all my criteria. But a week later, I got a call from Joanna saying that the landlord wasn't sure if the apartment would be vacant with less than a month before the termination of my then lease. Without Joanna, that would have completely done me in. Instead, she picked me up and took me straight to a specific apartment she thought I'd love. She was absolutely right! I got an amazing studio in my ideal location, with great street parking, that fell happily short of my maximum rent ceiling - and I finally unpacked every last box. She was AMAZING, and I honestly can't thank her enough. If ever you need a place in the future, absolutely seek out her expertise, as I will.

Jim has been clear and up front about everything during the period leading up to signing the lease, and has been extremely quick to fix any issues and concerns that arose throughout my time as his tenant. Jim is, by leaps and bounds, the most responsive and proactive landlord I've ever had. He is extremely prompt with his replies to my texts and makes it a priority to quickly address any issues with the apartment. When I noticed a small leak in the bathroom, it was fixed the very next day. This example is the norm, not the exception. I've had nothing but positive experiences as Jim's tenant. He is prompt, honest, straightforward and considerate.

Jim Mason ran for the hills. That implies he is doing something dishonest and quite possibly illegal. I was looking for a spot to store my car, while I went out of town for a few months. As soon as I suggested one, and to have it drawn up at MY expense( I work for a real estate attorney, its called a FAVOR) Jim abruptly ended the call and started acting in a very unprofessional manner. I wouldn't do any type of business with him, and im posting this as a warning to others
