Dianne was an absolute pleasure to work with and did an excellent job taking our wedding photos this past January. She was professional and organized from the moment we contacted her all the way to receiving our lovely wedding photos. We had two meetings over the phone with her prior to our wedding day, both of which were very helpful and informative. She took the time to explain her process, listen to what we had in mind, while also giving us suggestions and insight that was specific to our venue. She was very thorough with planning and even had some contingency plans for us, weather depending. Dianne was also very flexible and adapted well to working with us individually and helping us to manage large groups of our guests for family photos, etc. She was polite and professional (and sometimes playful) with our wedding party and with our guests. She was always present when we needed her and to catch special unseen moments, but never obtrusive. Many of our guests and wedding party also commented on how fun and easygoing she was during our several large group photoshoots.   Not only did she take great photographs, but she also helped our day go smoothly, and had our edited photos to us very quickly after our event (just about a month turn around). My wife and I cannot say enough positive things about Dianne! We previously posted a glowing review for her amazing photography of our wedding. We still get comments about how beautiful the pictures are. Now, I'm writing this review to highlight her newborn photography! Dianne came to our home and was so accommodating. From a personal stand point - Dianne is amazing! We worked with her on our first family photo session in 2014 and we loved the photos so much we had them put on mugs for all the grandparents! We checked in again in 2015 and she was able to capture our family beautifully, more pictures sent to the grandparents, who loved them! Dianne is an artist, she truly loves the work she does and takes the time to allow kids to warm up to her so they are comfortable - relaxed expressions and warm smiles! We have two rambunctious boys who needed time to play and run around between the more staged shots, Dianne was great about being flexible and even capturing the boys at play, some of our favorite shots. Dianne was really great. She put our wedding pictures on March 2017. I can say she is a very good person and she is very good at her job definitely. Dianne photographed our wedding (we are two women) at the Brazil Room and we are so glad we worked with her. Dianne is a warm and communicative person who will start off by finding out what is most important to you (individually and as a couple). Her pictures are both lovely and natural. She has a real sense of how to frame a photo, and how to capture important details. During an event, she is never in the way, yet always there for that photo moment. She has tremendous experience with the Brazil Room's features, lighting, and architecture, and her photos truly capture what a special place it is. Dianne was amazing from our first meeting through our latest meeting to hand off our photos. First meeting - Dianne asked all kinds of questions to determine exactly what we were looking for from our photographer and our photos. Engagement shoot - We were really uncomfortable posing for shots for someone, this just isn't who we are. But Dianne put us at ease very quickly and we got a TON of photos that we really love. Logistics - Dianne worked with Botanical Gardens next to our venue to secure it for our first look. She put extra time and effort into it, to help us have our perfect day. Wedding!!! - Getting ready, first look, ceremony, reception - all documented in beautiful photos. Dianne was the right amount of coordinator (wrangling family into our requested photos) and unobtrusive. She made us feel very at ease the whole time, and took a number of photos of me when I had no idea that she was around. My mom has had issues with obtrusive photographers at 2 family weddings. She barely noticed Dianne during the ceremony, which is exactly what we were going for. Post wedding - Dianne was pretty busy for March/April (prime wedding season), but stayed in good contact with us about when our photos would be ready. She sent us a great teaser set. We were fortunate enough to have Dianne photograph the birth of our first child in our home. I didn't know what to expect, as many of the birth photos I had seen on other websites were often a little too graphic and just not what I was looking for. When Dianne arrived, I was well into active labor (it was a quick progression), so I barely noticed her presence other than the occasional click of the camera. She was a fly on the wall, using only natural light and whatever angles were available to her. Since my labor was so quick and intense, I was dreading seeing the photos, thinking they would make me relive the pain and chaos of childbirth. Thankfully I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw the end result. Dianne compiled a short slideshow of the labor, birth and the hour following the birth. The photos were incredibly tasteful and beautifully showed the progression of my labor. They captured the peaceful moments between contractions and showed how my husband, doula and midwives were present and assisting throughout. Even the "money shot", when my daughter was being born, is done tastefully and yet encompasses the entire scene of what was going on. I was moved to tears when I saw the photos. They really helped me process the birth and see it in a different light, as an observer. I loved sharing the slideshow with my close family members who live far away and couldn't be present for the birth. When I showed the photos to my lactation consultant, she said they were the nicest she had seen, and she's seen a lot of birth photos. Dianne also captured some pregnancy photos of me with my husband, and followed up after our daughter's birth for some newborn shots. Hire Dianne for your wedding! My husband researched about a hundred photographers and we were going to try to meet a few of them to narrow it down. Dianne was the first and only one we met, and we knew she was the one! She took the time to come to our house for a consultation and to get to know us and our style, and she even came to the venue the week before our wedding so that we could plan out the must-have shots. I didn't worry about a single thing the day of the wedding because Dianne took the reins and handled rounding up people for group shots before and after the ceremony. I really just enjoyed the party and when she showed us the pictures I was surprised how great she made me look! The ceremony pictures were beautiful and she captured all the details that were so important to me. Besides all that, she is a true professional and the quality of the photos is amazing. She put together an awesome slideshow and gave us the photos on a flash drive in both actual size for prints and a smaller post-able file sizes. Our package also included 250 of our favorite photos posted to Zenfolio, where our guests can view them and order prints, which makes everything so easy. My wife and I had a great experience working with Dianne as our wedding photographer last October. From the day I met her at a wedding fair with 8 months to go, all the way through post-wedding editing and photo selection, she was consistently positive, warm, and a smiling presence. My wife came from overseas and there were long-distance Skype calls to set up, and both the ceremony and reception locations posed challenges as far as lighting and space to work, and she was a trooper. Her photo style resonated with me immediately--her pictures tend to be more natural and casual than a lot of wedding pictures I've seen and we really liked that.
