We LOVED working with Dianne from the start. When we met her and saw her portfolio, we knew she was the one. Her photos are beautiful-she catches important, sweet and funny moments so beautifully. We can relive our wedding over and over because of her photo-journalistic style. Her personality makes you feel at ease from the start. She is friendly, not showy (i've met some photographers who try to crack bad jokes etc)...Dianne is just a down to earth but super friendly person who naturally makes you comfortable, even if you are like me and not a fan of being in the spotlight.. Aside from the posed shots we requested, the rest of the day and night of our wedding she was doing what she does best-catching moments as they happen beautifully, without interfering. She even had some spur of the moment yet brialliant ideas for photos the night of, and we went with it and dont' forget it. Dianne met with us several times before our wedding to talk about our day, discuss details, and work out a package that was tailored to our needs. We had our digital photos in less than a month after our wedding, as well as a slideshow set to music she had us send her in advance. We love it! I definitely would recommend Dianne Jones to friends and family looking for a photographer. She is incredible! read more

From the moment we met Dianne Jones, we knew she was the one to photograph our wedding and we couldn't be happier with the memories she captured! We met with Dianne several times in the months leading up to the wedding, to go over the timeline, discuss details, and to choose a package that worked best within our budget. Her photo-journalistic style speaks to us...watching the slideshow set to music we provided, brings back the day like it was yesterday. Other than the usual posed, (and unusual) shots we requested, we hardly knew she was around, snagging the kisses, hugs, funky dance moves and general happiness that was ever so present on our special day! If you're looking for the perfect package in a photographer, look no further. Dianne Jones is your woman! We plan to use her for other special events in our lives and recommend her whole-heartedly to anyone for any occasion. Thank you Dianne...Christopher and Rebecca Centers read more

Dianne is the best!! We interviewed many photographers and with her we felt confortable right away. She met with us before our wedding to get an understanding of what photos we wanted to take, made suggestions that we hadn't thought about, and in the end she made come true everything we had envisioned. She is so cheerful, positive, and fun to be around that taking photos was one of our favorite parts of the day. We absolutely recommend her! :) :) read more

Dianne is great! She photographed our wedding for us and we have so many amazing photos from her. She met with us prior to us hiring her to get to know us and find out what we were looking for in a photographer. This helped us both feel supported and comfortable with her. Dianne is personal, professional, and genuinely cares about getting the best shots of everyone in the wedding from the posed photos to her creative style of capturing moments is truly a gift. We will be forever grateful to her! read more

Dianne was an absolute pleasure to work with and did an excellent job taking our wedding photos this past January. She was professional and organized from the moment we contacted her all the way to receiving our lovely wedding photos. We had two meetings over the phone with her prior to our wedding day, both of which were very helpful and informative. She took the time to explain her process, listen to what we had in mind, while also giving us suggestions and insight that was specific to our venue. She was very thorough with planning and even had some contingency plans for us, weather depending. Dianne was also very flexible and adapted well to working with us individually and helping us to manage large groups of our guests for family photos, etc. She was polite and professional (and sometimes playful) with our wedding party and with our guests. She was always present when we needed her and to catch special unseen moments, but never obtrusive. Many of our guests and wedding party also commented on how fun and easygoing she was during our several large group photoshoots.   Not only did she take great photographs, but she also helped our day go smoothly, and had our edited photos to us very quickly after our event (just about a month turn around). We absolutely love how our wedding photos turned out and will cherish them for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Dianne for making us and our wedding party feel so special. We would unequivocally recommend her for any of your photographic needs. read more

From a personal stand point - Dianne is amazing! We worked with her on our first family photo session in 2014 and we loved the photos so much we had them put on mugs for all the grandparents! We checked in again in 2015 and she was able to capture our family beautifully, more pictures sent to the grandparents, who loved them! Dianne is an artist, she truly loves the work she does and takes the time to allow kids to warm up to her so they are comfortable - relaxed expressions and warm smiles! We have two rambunctious boys who needed time to play and run around between the more staged shots, Dianne was great about being flexible and even capturing the boys at play, some of our favorite shots. From a professional stand point - I am a wedding planner and have worked with Diane on a couple weddings to date. She makes time to be available to talk through shots list, mastermind timelines for the best light and really spends a great deal of thought into getting to know her client so she can capture their event in the most personal way possible. Dianne is a great collaborator and open to sharing ideas and resource. I look forward to working together in 2016! read more

My wife and I cannot say enough positive things about Dianne! We previously posted a glowing review for her amazing photography of our wedding. We still get comments about how beautiful the pictures are. Now, I'm writing this review to highlight her newborn photography! Dianne came to our home and was so accommodating. She brought various equipment options, but didn't fill our tiny apartment. We used many items we already owned for staging, and she saw so many great photo opportunities throughout our home. She was patient and fun, and our daughter loved her. I could probably keep pointing out all of her great qualities as a photographer and as an amazing person, but I suggest you find out for yourself :-) read more

We worked with Dianne this past July when she photographed our wedding. From start to finish, she was a pleasure to work with - accommodating, reliable and nice. We wanted to have a wedding that was low-key, yet still thoughtful, and she helped us achieve that goal. Aside from how easy she was to work with before and during the event, the thing I most appreciated about Dianne was how reliably and quickly she had photos for us after the wedding. It seems like most couples get their wedding photos months later - they go into a post-wedding abyss somewhere, but we had digital and print copies in hand about three weeks later and that was really impressive. Dianne was also an extremely strong communicator throughout the entire process - always keeping us looped in and updating us as needed. Thanks for everything, Dianne! read more

My family and I were looking to have our annual family photo done. To our luck, our usual photographer no longer is working. So the daunting task to find a quality photographer was on full force. After I asked around a couple of friends and did some online research I found Dianne. I didn't want to just hire the first photographer I found, I was looking for someone reliable, who would provide a quality work. After all, this is our family photo and it is difficult enough to reunite the whole gang. I must say I, or well we, were very impressed and happy with Dianne. She was a true professional and provided us with beautiful pictures, which will be able to share with our friends and family. We will be sure to contact her for our next years photo! read more

Dianne was really great. She put our wedding pictures on March 2017. I can say she is a very good person and she is very good at her job definitely. She put lots of our pictures and she conducts us when she takes our photos and also she wants sample photos before the process begins for learning our taste and wishes. We went so many locations together for taking picture us and that was an exciting journey for me. Our all friends really appreciated her working energy. She was clearly everywhere in the wedding room. After our wedding party was started, we never felt worried about how would be our pictures. We trust her definitely and we like her personal style. read more

Incredible photographer. We hired Dianne for our wedding reception in October and it was one of the best decisions. She was both professional and very creative. She got the group shots together with the family etc.. as well as the candid shots. Just amazing, beautiful work. She is also super nice and charming . Made everyone feel relaxed around her. I'll try and post some Of the photos so you will have an example. read more

I hired Dianne to take pictures of me and my teenage son. She suggested a great location with lots of different options for backdrops and lighting. We took a lot of photos and she captured the vibe of our relationship and personalities perfectly. She was very thorough, professional, and had lots of creative suggestions that we worked with. Lastly, she was able to work within our budget and got the completed images to us with a quick turn-around. We are very satisfied with the finished product and definitely recommend her services. read more

I have used Dianne to take a family photo for our holiday cards every year for the last 4 years. She has turned out AMAZING options for our holiday photos and we always get so many compliments on our annual holiday card thanks to her great eye, great ideas and wonderful execution. Since I have been using Dianne for the last 4 years, I have gotten to know her not only as a photographer of people, but also for the wonderful artistic photos she takes too. Dianne is a true artist with an amazing eye for gorgeous images (mostly of landscapes, both urban & rural). I own 2 of her very amazing pieces, which I love looking at every single day. I think of Dianne as a very special photographer - she is up for taking photos in just about any situation (parties, weddings, or even a more relaxed, non-studio type of photo shoot). She is extremely easy to work with and incredibly accommodating too. I cannot recommend her more highly! read more

Dianne photographed our wedding (we are two women) at the Brazil Room and we are so glad we worked with her. Dianne is a warm and communicative person who will start off by finding out what is most important to you (individually and as a couple). Her pictures are both lovely and natural. She has a real sense of how to frame a photo, and how to capture important details. During an event, she is never in the way, yet always there for that photo moment. She has tremendous experience with the Brazil Room's features, lighting, and architecture, and her photos truly capture what a special place it is. We look at our wedding photos every few months, and when we look at the photos, we able to feel the essence of the day -it's all right there. I worked with Dianne again recently to offer a photo session as my gift for my parents' wedding anniversary. My folks are pretty shy, but Dianne's warmth really helped them relax and allowed us to make lasting memories of them. I know I will be so grateful in ten years to have these priceless photos. read more

Dianne was amazing at our wedding. She took great photos, provided us with an excellent selection, curating a fantastic limited set. She was completely professional, and always easy to meet with. She adapted to our slightly non-traditional outlook and really captured the magic of the day. We used her as our wedding photographer and she was totally AMAMAMAMAMAMAZING!!!!!! I ran into Dianne today which reminded me I never wrote a review... oops! Which is particularly shameful because Dianne did such a wonderful job with our wedding photos. Our wedding was last minute so we were thrilled to find that she was available, and she worked with our whacky plan and within our budget. Everything turned out great and we had so many wonderful pics to enjoy. She shot in a great mix of styles from set pieces to documentary-style shots. She captured the love and the excitement of our special day and she's super sweet. Highly recommended. read more

Diane was great! We hired her to photograph our wedding in April 2017 and she did an awesome job. She is kind, positive, professional, affordable and a pleasure to work with. On the day of the wedding, she blended seamlessly into her surroundings. I hardly even noticed I was being photographed! She was able to customize her services to give us exactly what we wanted. We love our photos! read more

Dianne photographed a youth event and student work for our organization, and the results were beautiful! She expertly set up a still-life shoot to professionally photograph our student artwork, then seamlessly transitioned to capture live shots of families and participants in action. These photos brought our event to the next level in terms of documenting and presenting student work in a professional and high-quality manner. We would recommend her for your event or to shoot artwork or still-lifes, and we hope to work with her again for years to come! Excellent work, and a huge value-add for our organization! read more

Dianne was amazing from our first meeting through our latest meeting to hand off our photos. First meeting - Dianne asked all kinds of questions to determine exactly what we were looking for from our photographer and our photos. Engagement shoot - We were really uncomfortable posing for shots for someone, this just isn't who we are. But Dianne put us at ease very quickly and we got a TON of photos that we really love. Logistics - Dianne worked with Botanical Gardens next to our venue to secure it for our first look. She put extra time and effort into it, to help us have our perfect day. Wedding!!! - Getting ready, first look, ceremony, reception - all documented in beautiful photos. Dianne was the right amount of coordinator (wrangling family into our requested photos) and unobtrusive. She made us feel very at ease the whole time, and took a number of photos of me when I had no idea that she was around. My mom has had issues with obtrusive photographers at 2 family weddings. She barely noticed Dianne during the ceremony, which is exactly what we were going for. Post wedding - Dianne was pretty busy for March/April (prime wedding season), but stayed in good contact with us about when our photos would be ready. She sent us a great teaser set. The photos we got are WONDERFUL! And we love the video montage that she provided us with. read more

I really enjoyed working with Dianne on our wedding photography. Major pros: + Planning - Dianne is clearly a planner; everything I wanted was written down and when we needed to have a Plan A and Plan B (for rain), she took extra time to scout out rainy-day locales (luckily not needed!) + Relaxing - I was not a bride that knew exactly what I wanted; Dianne walked me through everything that "brides do" and I got to pick and choose to make it the right package for me + Design - We originally opted out of the album, but quickly changed our minds... the quality of the albums and the time Dianne spends crafting them is evident. They are beautiful +Day of, went above and beyond - I think we originally said 8 hours... Dianne was definitely there longer than that. I had to tell her to go home :) + Budget friendly - got exactly what I wanted for less cost than other photographers I met with Definitely you should choose to meet with Dianne and see if her style is right for you. She is a great photographer to work with. read more

My partner and I gave Dianne a difficult task - take photos of our family gathering on a rainy day with a reluctant family at both a small park and a very crowded apartment. She rose to the challenge and far exceeded our expectations. She was so warm and wonderful with our nieces. She put my parents at ease. She impressed my siblings. She made the whole event extra special. And now we have wonderful photographs to share with friends. Thank you Dianne. read more

We used Dianne for our wedding at SF City Hall and it was an absolute pleasure. She showed up on time; ready to work; made sure we were at ease and on budget; did a great job of corralling family and keeping strays out of the photos (city hall has people everywhere). She knew where all the best spots where and knew how to work the lighting. And most importantly the photos came out AMAZING! We can not recommend Dianne enough. Total professional with a great warm personality to boot. Thank you DIanne! read more

I worked with Dianne on portraits for my web site, and wanted to share what a great experience I had. Dianne is an amazing listener, and is gifted at getting you to tell your story and then helping you interpret that visually. She is also super supportive if you are camera shy like me. She makes the process fun and creative, and has a great eye. I highly recommend working with her next time you need head shots or portraits or an event photographed. read more

I had the opportunity to work with Dianne recently, and the entire experience was absolutely wonderful. I needed a set of professional portraits, and wanted something more expressive and personal than the typical slick, corporate headshot. We met to discuss the look & feel of the images, and Dianne quickly named a location that was spot-on perfect. Of her many gifts, the one I appreciate most is her ability listen, to hear a client's needs, and weave them into the overall vision. Needless to say the photoshoot itself was effortless, and the portraits themselves are more than perfect for my needs. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a great photographer, who also happens to be a really great person! read more

Dianne is a professional, thoughtful and skilled photographer, and did an amazing job for our wedding! She met with us beforehand to make sure we were all on the same page, and had great suggestions about how to maximize the beauty of our venue. We also appreciated her journalistic style during the ceremony and reception. She was everywhere, yet not intrusive in the least. She was also willing to include our dogs in some of the photos, which was so wonderful. Even our then-5-month-old puppy responded to her directions :) Afterward, she had everything ready about a month after the wedding. She went over all the photos and our options and answered all of our questions, even creating a personalized slideshow of the best shots set to our favorite songs. Dianne is a talented photographer who truly cares about capturing the essence of the event and helping make lasting memories of your special day--or any day! read more

A surprise photoshoot by Dianne was organized by our new in-laws during our first get-together event. Diane was great - personable, funny, with a great eye for amazing photography. She quickly put everyone at ease so we were all smiles and laughter. We couldn't have asked for better memories of that really special day. Thank you Dianne! read more

We were fortunate enough to have Dianne photograph the birth of our first child in our home. I didn't know what to expect, as many of the birth photos I had seen on other websites were often a little too graphic and just not what I was looking for. When Dianne arrived, I was well into active labor (it was a quick progression), so I barely noticed her presence other than the occasional click of the camera. She was a fly on the wall, using only natural light and whatever angles were available to her. Since my labor was so quick and intense, I was dreading seeing the photos, thinking they would make me relive the pain and chaos of childbirth. Thankfully I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw the end result. Dianne compiled a short slideshow of the labor, birth and the hour following the birth. The photos were incredibly tasteful and beautifully showed the progression of my labor. They captured the peaceful moments between contractions and showed how my husband, doula and midwives were present and assisting throughout. Even the "money shot", when my daughter was being born, is done tastefully and yet encompasses the entire scene of what was going on. I was moved to tears when I saw the photos. They really helped me process the birth and see it in a different light, as an observer. I loved sharing the slideshow with my close family members who live far away and couldn't be present for the birth. When I showed the photos to my lactation consultant, she said they were the nicest she had seen, and she's seen a lot of birth photos. Dianne also captured some pregnancy photos of me with my husband, and followed up after our daughter's birth for some newborn shots. She did a great job capturing the entire process for us and we couldn't be happier. read more

Dianne Jones worked harder than any photographer I have ever seen. She was easy to work with; she was organized, thorough, with an innovative spirit, creative eye and amazing attention to detail. She even met us for a pre-visit at the site to review possible locations and discuss preferences. I would have no hesitation recommending her to anyone looking for an event photographer. I can't recommend her enough. Dianne shot our wedding, and the photos turned out better than we ever imagined. She managed to capture everything without even being noticed. We made some requests but then let her do whatever she wanted, and we are so glad we did. She captured all the great moments perfectly. It's amazing that one person was able to capture so much. On top of it all she is one of the nicest people I have ever met. We can't wait for her to do a baby shoot when our twins are born. She is our go-to photographer for everything now. read more

My wife and I had a great experience working with Dianne as our wedding photographer last October. From the day I met her at a wedding fair with 8 months to go, all the way through post-wedding editing and photo selection, she was consistently positive, warm, and a smiling presence. My wife came from overseas and there were long-distance Skype calls to set up, and both the ceremony and reception locations posed challenges as far as lighting and space to work, and she was a trooper. Her photo style resonated with me immediately--her pictures tend to be more natural and casual than a lot of wedding pictures I've seen and we really liked that. She also asked for a lot of input on our ideas for pictures--we felt like we were partners with her, not like one of us was the "boss". We also had our engagement photo session with her and after our initial bout of camera-shyness, we had a great time and were happy with those pictures too. If you'd like your wedding photographer to be warm, down-to-earth, and a great picture-taker, you can't go wrong working with Dianne! read more

Hire Dianne for your wedding! My husband researched about a hundred photographers and we were going to try to meet a few of them to narrow it down. Dianne was the first and only one we met, and we knew she was the one! She took the time to come to our house for a consultation and to get to know us and our style, and she even came to the venue the week before our wedding so that we could plan out the must-have shots. I didn't worry about a single thing the day of the wedding because Dianne took the reins and handled rounding up people for group shots before and after the ceremony. I really just enjoyed the party and when she showed us the pictures I was surprised how great she made me look! The ceremony pictures were beautiful and she captured all the details that were so important to me. Besides all that, she is a true professional and the quality of the photos is amazing. She put together an awesome slideshow and gave us the photos on a flash drive in both actual size for prints and a smaller post-able file sizes. Our package also included 250 of our favorite photos posted to Zenfolio, where our guests can view them and order prints, which makes everything so easy. Also, I wanted to do photo-thank you notes, so she accommodated that with a really quick turn around on 25 or so of our best couple shots so we could order our thank yous and get them out quickly. Most of all, Dianne is a fun person with an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor. She was so fun to work with. Choose Dianne! read more
