He always gives us the time we need to ask questions (and as new parents, we have a lot!). He listens patiently, never interrupts, and is incredibly attentive to every detail we share. One of the things we appreciate most is how approachable he is. He meets parents where they are -- whether we're asking about something we read online or just trying to make sense of newborn life. He never makes us feel silly for asking any question, no matter how small. Dr. Wan is also wonderfully pragmatic. He shares real-world examples from both his own experience and decades of medical practice, which helps us make informed, confident decisions. He's guided us on everything from when to allow visitors and how to handle family in town, to whether it's okay to take a newborn out to a restaurant. His clinic is spotless, calm, and never overcrowded -- something that really puts us at ease, especially with a newborn. The care team is equally fantastic: patient, gentle, and respectful of the time it takes to feed or change a baby before an appointment. They never rush us, and we always feel cared for. Dr. Wan and his team have also been there for us in moments of stress. On one occasion, after a virtual visit where we were worried we might need to go to the ER, Dr. Wan saw us in person within 45 minutes. He reassured us, equipped us with tools for next time, and helped us avoid unnecessary panic. That kind of accessibility and care is truly rare. If you're looking for a pediatrician who combines deep expertise, compassion, and real-world wisdom, Dr. Wan is the one. We're so grateful to have him guiding us through these early days of parenthood. Highly, highly recommend Dr. Wan and his amazing team.

Each visit has been pleasant and provided guidance and the service I needed for health issues that frankly I can't get from going to my primary doctor's office. X rays or blood work for example. Using the online portal to reserve a visit time is easy. Clean spacious waiting area. Modern interior design and examination rooms are very spacious. I have been attended to by a doctor and or a nurse practitioner and every time they have been knowledgeable and helpful. They offer medical advice and write prescriptions. Great bedside manner. So if you have the option to use urgent care then I recommend it. For non trauma type issues it's much better than going to emergency room.

I tried to do what I thought would be an easy follow up virtually and for an issue they say they can handle virtually. Wrong - I waited over an hour to see the provider and then she wouldn't do anything for me without a culture (standard lady issue where when you know you know), and added some bs about "I know you know your body". She kept adding symptoms I didn't have and didn't say I had. She wasn't interested in listening to me at all. Don't say you offer something virtually if you don't. Waste of time. Went to a different provider and got what I needed right away in less time.

I am all for centralization / streamlining / cost-cutting / removing redundancies etc if they are efficient/organized and are passing on the savings to the patients. However, when they give the impression of not knowing their ass from their elbow and you are left in a Kafkaesque state of calling every day on and on for several days for booking a slot for something simple like a flu shot, the system is definitely broken. Sutter health administrators try to make anything and everything as hard as possible so that they can bleed you for green

I was surprised that he came later in the day to check on her and meet his new patient. We've seen Dr. Sollod, his daughter Dr. Janet Sollod and Dr. Fung during the past 11 years. They have always been caring and nurturing with both of my kids. When my daughter was diagnosed with kawasaki's disease, they went over and beyond my expectations, really being an authority in the hospital on her care and making sure her follow ups after her treatment were scheduled. I never worry about my kids having access to medical care because I can always call 24 hours (and I have) and get in touch with one of the doctors in the practice. I wish they saw adults because I'd love to have a PCP like these doctors.

I have never published/written a negative review in my life. I really should have read the Yelp…read morereviews before making an appointment. I reached out over a month ago and agreed to a mid-January appointment, which was then rescheduled (first red flag). I received an incredibly curt and condescending response when I asked to confirm the new appointment time (I had missed something in the previous email, which she pointed out in a way that was clearly intended to make me feel stupid). I spent my most recent session with my usual therapist preparing for this session with Dr. Griffiths, writing down and preparing myself to talk about extremely traumatic events. For those who have had to deal with PTSD/ depression, this is an incredibly difficult task to do. And with my depression, I tend to sleep a lot - I fell asleep and was 15 minutes late to my SIXTY minute session. I was refused my appointment, despite the fact that there was 45 minutes left. The next appointment out wasn't for weeks. It's very hard for me to believe that this practice takes mental health seriously. I do not understand how it operates as a psychiatry practice, where empathy and validation should be the top priorities. They are dealing with people who have severe illnesses (I'm not just a little sad) and doing so with very little mercy. Refusing to meet a severely ill patient because she was 15 minutes late and offering an appointment that is a month out.... how is this your profession?

For me, that comes down to effectiveness, empathy, and environment. 1) Effectiveness: Overall she is a great doctor that helped diagnose and treat my disorder. She informs me about side effects so I know what to look out for and makes adjustments as issues arise - all the while considering my overall wellbeing by, for example, finding alternatives to a medicine that may have addictive properties. She's professional, knowledgeable, and answers my questions thoroughly. These days I'm getting back on my feet in a way that I thought I never would 3 years ago. 2) Empathy: I've had many insurance changes so I've seen a lot of different psychiatrists; I was struck by how cold and apathetic other doctors were. In complete contrast, Dr. G is incredibly warm, listens exceptionally well, remembers things about you, and makes you feel like she cares about your health and happiness (e.g. through her affect, affirmation, advice). 3) Environment: Dr. G opened a new practice (Mensana SF) and it's a really awesome office. Most importantly, the office staff, like Brandie and Monica, are fantastic. They're the best office staff I've encountered. They are very nice and hilarious, which makes the visit great from start to finish. They're also precise, I haven't had any issues with them in terms of scheduling appointments or calling in prescriptions. They are truly an anomaly and refreshing from the other offices that I've dealt with that had irate receptionists that tended to mess up appointments (I really think for mental health offices, general niceness to suffering patients seems like it should be a given). Also the office itself is relaxing and looks like it's out of a magazine. The furnishing is modern and tastefully done - which makes the whole process feel much less clinical. As someone that felt the difficulty of finding a doctor in the bay area and read tons of reviews in search of a good one, stop your search and take my word for it that you won't regret coming into Mensana. I moved an hour away and I didn't even consider finding another doctor.
