The procedure went to plan, they did nothing above and beyond what they quoted us. We paid in full before leaving. 4 months later they start sending us bills with pricing that was 3x higher than our quote. I do not recommend using this place. If you do, keep your original quote and your receipts in case they try to bait and switch you too. Thankfully, we have all of our paper work. I was referred here due to a previous procedure that failed and I had a difficult time getting a straight and consistent recommendation on treatment options. It become very clear to me the surgeon Proothi was more concerned with not making his buddies in the field look bad rather than providing me the clarity I deserved as a paying patient. I recently had seven successful implants and one extraction done by Dr. Capuano, and the experience…read morewas truly exceptional. This was my fourth oral surgery, but my first time at this office. My previous three surgeries were at a different office. I actually liked the oral surgeon, and during our consultation, he felt confident that he could successfully place two or three implants. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. The first surgery was extracting five teeth, the second one was attempting to place the implants and the third was removing them after they failed. If I had remained with that office, the surgeon explained that one possible treatment was a mesh implant, but estimated it had only about a 50% chance of success. Another option was dentures, which was incredibly discouraging. The difference in the final results between these two offices is night and day. Before, my mouth was left raw, red, and incredibly painful. This time, Dr. Capuano's work was clean and stitched up beautifully. He and his entire staff were amazing, compassionate, and answered all of my questions . They turned a stressful situation into a massive success. I cannot recommend Dr. Capuano highly enough! This is , by far, the best practice I have ever attended. From the front desk, where you are greeted not as a patient but as a person who happens to be a patient (subtle difference) to the most caring and personable hygienists, assistants and dentists. They have relaxed me so much that I no longer gag taking X-rays, I no longer try find excuses to cancel and I am no longer tense and difficult during exams. I wish that I had found a practice like this 50-60 years ago. They have totally changed my outlook on dentists and dental offices. Five stars are simply not enough.

I arrived at the office, only to be told that I would not be seen and that the next available appointment was in November. After repeatedly having my appointments rescheduled by the office, being threatened with a cancellation fee when I was the one who called and received no answer, and then being turned away after actually arriving, I'm extremely disappointed with the way this office treats its patients. My main concern is I used to have a dentist that didn't numb me properly, so I felt EVERYTHING. So that's what I was worried about, however, I should have been worried about other things instead. The dentist was nice, but he told me I needed all of these root canals and fillings and he chiseled down one of my teeth a lot and now it is shorter than the rest of the teeth. I also had a toothache for TWO WEEKS because of it!! The Dental hygienist, is very rough. She shoved the air thing down my throat as if I was having fun with a man, like girl, I don't know you that way. There was also an issue where they told me I didn't have to pay, and the next time I went in, they said I couldn't go in until I paid them $300. But you just said I didn't owe anything? Avoid avoid avoid!! Just go to my girl Stony Brook general & Cosmetic Dentistry in Stony Brook, she's absolutely fabulous and when I have money, I'm going to back to her!!
