USABL continues to show a lack of concern for player safety. It's pouring rain, yet games are still not being canceled. At some point, safety has to come before profit. This isn't acceptable. Coaches and teams should come together and take a stand--our kids deserve better conditions than this. read more

They have 10 outdoor batting cages and 8 indoor batting cages. There entire complex is setup with surround sound audio and live in-game streaming. It was a Great place to watch my grandson play baseball, this past weekend, field changes after each game depending on your stats after each game. Restrooms very clean. The facility itself is excellent. Beautiful turf fields and everything is extremely clean. That's the only positive. Imagine this... You already paid $1000 for your team to enter and then parents need to pay to get in to see their child play as well. I'm a coach, but still a ridiculous thing. Most venues roll the fee into the registration. Zero apparel for the tournaments. Unless you're there the second they open on the first day of the tournament, you're not getting a shirt. I think they may order 10 of every size and one they're out.... They're out.... The staff is HORRENDOUS. Problem is, everyone thinks this is a premier place to play. There's tons of options. I've been coaching for 22 years and I'll never go back. Lasorda Legacy Park was 10000 times better. Sports at the Beach, Ripken Experience... You get the point. The General Manager is the worst person I've dealt with ever in my baseball career. I understand he's the owner's son, so obviously he could care less. We've been trying to get in touch with him for days to no avail. Their objective is one thing....... Money.... If you want to play at a place that no one cares and it's a complete scheduling nightmare, Diamond Nation is for you. Otherwise, save yourself the money and go to a facility that treats you like you actually exist. Even USABL tournaments are superior to this place as they will get back to you in the matter of an hour. read more

Having been to a few softball tournaments here I can legitimately invoke the old adage that you get what you pay for. No argument that greed absolutely rules in the wilds of western New Jersey. Money is extracted out of every orifice - from the exorbitant registration fees, tickets to see your own child play and concession prices that would give Bernie Sanders an aneurysm. But before you take your Mao jacket out of mothballs, it's also fair to mention that the facilities themselves are first class and... anything that keeps me out of a toxic waste bilge otherwise known as a porta-pottie is money very well spent. The well maintained fields are clustered together so there's an economy of movement between games allowing you to leave your Sherpa at home, especially when you're lugging around duffels full of softball equipment. The way I look at it, even if my kid went on to play "professional softball" she'd never earn enough in three lifetimes to pay me back for one random weekend at this fast-pitch ATM but I have to respect a well executed facility and the simple joy of just having fun. Easily accessible parking that is close to the fields, Diamond Nation is well run, organized, and clean. There are clearly delineated signs, concessions, covered spectator seating, and clean bathroom facilities. There are 4 50/70 fields and 2 60/90 fields. Our team attended the Spring Invitational this weekend. The facility is amazing! We were in awe upon arrival. We did however run into some things that bothered us as a team. Pluses: facility is beautiful, scoreboards were bright and colorful, everyone we met was super nice. The food in the concession stands was tasty and not super pricy as well as the store. Marty handled a situation with us and got us a meet and greet with Jennie when our teams games were scheduled at the same time as her autograph sessions. Negatives: you have a million rules in place that no one follows. Supposed to have one team cooler (never checked) as a matter of fact people brought in entire buffets for the kids, no music boxes but that only goes for certain teams. We encountered at least 5 with music going and it got the girls upset that we left ours at home. Tournament shirts weren't announced. Never saw them at all since we shopped early and they were all out by the time we went Sunday morning. Also we understand we entered an open tournament, mainly entered for the experience, but when you have several teams at level C and you pull all B and A level teams for pool play, it kind of gets the girls defeated. Maybe at least one equal team to feel like you have some sort of a chance to play that weekend would be nice. Maybe someway to fill out a paper that says what level you should be playing at. read more

The only thing I can say about this place is parking is far, but that's okay. This facility by far is one of the best places to visit. I was extremely impressed that every scoreboard worked, including the radar gun. Facility was extremely clean, shade was good. The staff was very professional and the umpires were good! read more

Absolutely the worst. Parents, siblings, grandparents even the handicapped are charged to enter the facility. We were not allowed to bring in our bag with baby formula and personal drinks. We had to return to the car each time. My son traveled to the facility with a teammate. He was not allowed to bring drinks in for a ALL DAY TOURNAMENT he was playing in. I was FURIOUS to find out he needed a drink after one of his games. Of course there was a concession stand with $5 waters available for sale. What a crooked operation being run there. Came to watch "Asa The Ace" play baseball with the Legends 11U Prospect Team. Great watching him and his team win. But, $5.00 bucks to get in after paying the tournament fee seems like a desperate final grab for money. The staff here is NOT friendly. It's all about taking every last penny you have. The concept of Diamond Nation is great but the execution of its vision is lacking. They schedule way too many teams for its facilities so you end up not knowing your schedule until a week before hand making booking lodging a nightmare, your schedule will change once you get there, games are scheduled too close together so by the end of the day they are running 2 hours behind and that information can only be known if you are standing at the field itself, and you will likely play games on other fields well away from Diamond Nation itself. We have been here for 3 days, have played 3 2/3 innings and now have 3 games in the next 22 hours. It doesn't have to be this way but they have convinced enough baseball organizations that they are indispensable and so Diamond Nation does not bother with any degree of common courtesy or effective management. If you have an alternate option for your team, take it. read more

I visited this past weekend for a baseball tournament and overall it was a nice facility. Two things that really bothered me: - Parents of players have to pay to see their kid play, even though they paid the registration fees. That to me is a slap in the face. I can see charging family friends, extended family etc, but parents? - No outside food or drinks, same concept as a movie theatre or an amusement park.... Except it's neither of those. I get the place has to make money, but charging parents to see their own kids play and forcing you to buy their concessions just seems over the top. read more

The facility has all turf fields, if you are playing baseball you will kit get the true feel of baseball. Turf is not real, ball don't bounce the same, you can't run the same, you can't slide the same on turf, fake turf pitching mounds, just not the same. Rip Off!!!!! They charge you am arm and a leg to the team, (parents pay) then you pay every day you walk in the door!! Don't waste your time or money....This place is in it for the money and to get you sick. No social distancing possible. They should only allow 1 family member to watch...instead families were there and crowded. (i know, I know sounds awful kids youth sports etc) But with a PANDEMIC going on....LETS GET REAL. People come from all over the place...a lot from Northern Jersey and New York etc. ....No one wearing masks unless you are at the snack bar or coming in. Other wise all masks off....The only 2 coaches wearing a mask ( that I saw because we played them ) from a PA team. No temp checks when entering, for players, coaches or spectators. Players walked in a side entrance and according to my son...They did not do SH_T....And just walked arounf back to where everyone was waiting for them....Why not a quick scan of the head check a temp. Bathrooms gross, not toilet paper or soap...and the hand dryer...they are gross and just spread germs especially respiratory diseases. Umpires should be wearing masks. They are the ones yelling the calls which automatically will spread a disease further.....So here is what you should. 1.) Each player needs to be escorted by an adult (coach or family Member) and temp check . 2.) everyone entering the facility needs a temp check. Buy the facility $20.00 thermometers I know you can afford it. 3.) One spectator per player 4.) Social distancing only can happen if you can not give them a space to congregate. The picnic tables were never cleaned and people crowded around them for shade. People ate off them and they were never cleaned. Gross and Get and attendant to wipe tables between people. 5.) Clean the tables, I was there for 6 hours not one person wiped the tables. If you serve food, tables need to be wiped down 6.) all coaches wear a mask (if you are going to yell put a mask over your mouth) I saw coaches yelling at kids. The third and 1st base coach need to wear a mask and stay at least 6 feet away from the kids and umpires 7.) NO EATING In the dug outs.... 8.) Dug outs need to be CLEANED between teams. Come on now Common sense... What is the point of social distancing if you leave your germs behind..... 9.) Umpires need to wear a mask....I saw umpires approaching a kid on the mound. Put his hand on him (not in a mean way) and explained what he was doing wrong...This is obvisously not 6 feet or even 2 feet and guess what no mask. 10.)All kids in dug out should be wearing a mask until it is their time to bat. 11.) food workers should be wearing a real mask not a hand made one or a gaiter and should cover your NOSE. If you can blow a candle out while wearing a mask guess what they don't work. and they won't protect you from Corona.. The guy in the RITAS Stand did not have his mask over his nose. Nose not covered (what is the point of the mask) 12.) anyone driving around on the golf carts should wear a mask. All Employees should wear a freaking mask. 2 people were sitting in a golf cart driving around with no mask.. 13.) Bathroom attendant to make sure there is toilet paper, SOAP, paper towels and a clean bathrooms 14.) Lastly, let's have some common sense, logic, and reason. You closed the batting cages b/c social distancing can not occur but everything else is the same. And you are charging 5 dollars a head and are not taking the appropriate precautions.....Clean it up...You make enough money off of us why not spend some to protect the people who are coming to your facility. Otherwise you won't be open. And I just reported you to the department of health with a video....Have a good day. This place will shut down youth sports... read more

The worst! Save your money!! Money hungry, poorly run, and the management is rude and condescending! We just had an 8 am game called 2 innings early at 9:33am and it was only 3-1. When we questioned why, the answer we got was " there is a 1:40 minute limit because we have a lot of games today." The game started at 7:57am but they claimed that ground rules were at 7:53 so that is when the clock started! On top of that they charge every spectator $5 per day to watch! They wouldn't even acknowledge our complaint as legitimate. read more

We've played over 40 tournaments and 3x at DN. Overall, they are expensive and just ok. While some of the fields are great, they always stick teams on their TERRIBLE dome field. We've won and lost a game because the field is so bad. OF is cement covered with 70s type AstroTurf - no joke. It's so bad they won't even paint foul lines. So half your games are played on that mess. It's like a tale of two facilities. Most youth umpires aren't good, but these guys add big Jersey egos to the mix. read more

Great baseball facility. Went there with my son for a tournament. Playing fields are all turf and are in fantastic condition. Good amount of batting tunnels that also were well maintained. If you're thinking about a tournament here, I'd say go for it. Very tough competition in a baseball friendly environment. My only negative, and these guys aren't the only ones who do it, is the charge to get in. I mean, c'mon - who do you think is paying the tournament fee for my son? Throw in the hotel and food costs and it makes for an expensive weekend. I know $5 isn't a lot, but it all adds up and its kind of the point of it. There are a lot of other ways you can make money off of me - like the t-shirt and the hot dog and the photos... you get the point. read more

The facility - for youth baseball - is very nice. Turf fields, well maintained, with decent drainage, clean bathrooms with indoor plumbing. This is the third time we've been there for a baseball tournament. The place is all about money: how the owners can make more of it. They wanted our kids to play on the turf in heavy downpours so that they would not have to make refunds to the teams. They charge parents money ($5 for anyone over 18) to go in and watch their kid play ball. This after the team on which your kid plays has paid a hefty registration fee. They do not allow you to bring in a cooler, but then charge $2.50 for the SMALL Gatorades. The umpires are terrible - they did not know the rules relating to blocking bases when the player does not have the ball or when a bunt goes foul in the batter's box. I do not believe they belong to an official umpires' organization. The strike zone was a moving target. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Cooperstown is a much better experience. read more

It's a baseball tournament/training facility in NJ. Had a 10U tournament here with my son. Facilities are very clean and well kept. $5/pp admission for anyone over 18. Only a team cooler is allowed. Can't bring in outside food or drinks but can picnic/tailgate in your car. read more

This complex is good overall. One thing that I did not like is that we come from far and can't stand the way they treat us. The umpire when making there call whether is save or out is very unfair. Absolutely unacceptable! This place is a disgrace! We came as a family( 3 young children) to watch my oldest son place baseball, and not only do they charge us admission to watch him play ( I'll get passed that one) but they would not let me bring in my cooler. I was very willing to let them search and inspect my cooler that contained only Gatorade and water. It's 90 degrees outside so needing drinks is an understatement! When I questioned their policy the girls working the door, who were just doing their job, told me it was the policy that no insulted bags were allowed. I asked to speak to the manager, who she called on the phone and spoke to me. He stated that I could take all the drinks and food that were in my cooler out and put them in a Regular bag then bring it in. When I asked what the rationale for no cooler bags was they could not provide one. This is a facility that services family's and young children, playing sports on potentially very hot days. To be told that I cannot provide cold drinks for my family, and forced to pay their ridiculous prices, is absolutely unacceptable! They need to revamp their policies! read more

The CONS: $$$$$ Team fee: $1250 Any fan over 18: $5 Then of course there are T-shirts, you can't bring in food or drinks so there's more $$$, OH and since the tournament was Monday-Thursday, my wife had to take off time from work just so one of us could go. Thank goodness we are from NJ and didn't have to get a hotel room (you MUST use one of their approved hotels), Flemington is nice enough but not the place I would want to VACATION!!!! Overall, DIAMOND NATION is a good experience for the team (cause kids don't know how much things cost!!!) but be prepared to spend DISNEY MONEY!!!!! read more

Such a disappointment. Umpire screamed "get the F*#' out of here" to a parent in front of small children. Management thinks this is ok & defended the umpire. They brought in older kids with mismatched uniforms & no numbers to play in a tournament 16u tournament. These clearly break THEIR posted rules but when asked they said they make exceptions to the rules. A lot of money was spent to attend this tournament & to be treated so unfairly is unacceptable. read more

Nice facility to play baseball. Why weren't the scoreboards used for a tournament that charged big bucks? Temporary fencing in outfield interfered in plays too many times. No light were on in parking lot after 10 pm. Very dangerous. Could improve in quality of food. Prices were too high for what they were offering. Hope our team does not return. read more

Today I received a call from Lynn at Diamondnation about my recent review. She seemed very concerned about my complaints. She assured me she was taking my complaint seriously and would address the customer service issues with the individuals. I feel she was sincere & wants everyone to leave Diamondnation with a positive experience. She also assured me there were many recycling cans through out the complex. Overpriced and poorly managed! Plan on paying a $5 entrance fee per day per adult to watch your child play! Just because you are paying to get in doesn't mean you'll have a scoreboard! They are only interested in money not services! They post information everywhere that no personal coolers are allowed on site which would be fine if it weren't almost 100 degrees! Best part was receiving an email at 11:15 pm Saturday night letting us know that they had waived cooler restrictions for Friday and Saturday but now that there has been a break in the weather restrictions are back in place for Sunday! Fantastic but would have been nice to know for Friday and Saturday that they had been lifted!! Lastly, all games have a 1 hr 50 minute time limit. This is helpful for keeping games on track, however, time should be either adjusted based on age or umps should move teams along! Based on the games we have played so far we will finish our 3 game minimum playing only 15 of 21 innings. Almost a full game shy of 3 actual games. It's evident the teams that play here regularly know how to slow a game down and the umps are ok with it! If you get a team vote....vote NO on this venue and try Cal Ripken Aberdeen! It's not far from this if you are traveling and you won't leave disappointed. FYI writing this before we get all our games in so how we finish has no reflection on the review! read more
