I was exhausted, depleted and really just needed someone to go in and straighten up, clean, and put away clean laundry so that when everything was said and done with my grandmother I could come home and just be able to rest and recover. I replied back to Cassie on Thursday at 12 after another company cancelled on me. She said she'd come by around 4 that afternoon and could work us in her schedule and possibly even get it done that afternoon. I explained the situation to her and told her I would have someone meet her to let her in. I was so relieved. My adult son left where he was and changed his schedule around so that he could be at the house at 330 to let her in. She never showed. I texted her to ask if she was coming, she never replied. Later that evening she said she could put me on the schedule for the next day. After asking about an estimate I said either way please put me on the schedule and let me know what time. She never replied. That morning around 9 am I texted her to ask what time she thought she'd be here and she said 10:30. I called my son and had him there to meet her. She never showed. I texted her at 1045, no reply. Called her at 11, no answer, left a message. Texted her again at 11:45. She replied at 130 that she couldn't make it and could do it the next day. By now it was too late. My toddler and husband were going to be home all day the next day and it's a small space- it really had to be done Thursday or Friday. Also by now we'd made 2 appointments that she ghosted. I'm sure it would have been the same had I made yet another appointment. Had she not strung me along I could have tried to find someone else but instead I'm stuck. It's not the end of the world- it's just cleaning to help me out. But geeze you can let a person know you can't make it or don't want to do it or whatever. And also I mean, come on. It's not only inconsiderate and unprofessional, it's just not nice to do to someone who is in survival mode and just needs a little help.

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing and did not match the expectations set by the listing. The property appeared to be a rushed DIY flip, with multiple safety and cleanliness issues. The stairs leading to the deck felt unsafe, and we didn't feel comfortable even standing on the decks themselves. Inside, we found sand and pubic hair in the bed, and hair in the refrigerator butter dish--completely unacceptable hygiene. Electrical cords were loosely strung around the house instead of being properly secured, and the bathrooms were the smallest we've ever seen. Fixtures like doorknobs and locks were rusted, and none of the exterior security lights worked, which was concerning at night. The listing initially advertised 2 E-bikes included in the $90 amenity fee, but that was changed after booking. Instead, we found regular bikes locked up--with no way to access them. A note on the refrigerator warned not to adjust the temperature or it would stop working, which was not reassuring. Overall, this property did not deliver on basic expectations for safety, cleanliness, or amenities. We would not stay here again or recommend it to others.

They also didn't stretch it at all according to another company I had fix their mess. Their end result was pulling up and shredding at the doorways and the pads were unevenly ripped, not cut and had to be replaced again by another company because the feeling was bad. I reached out to Duggins 3 times to fix this. The owner said they'd stand by their work and sent a new guy to fix the wavy carpet and then ceased responding and refuses to come to the phone when I call the company. They chose not to stand by their work or competently lay down a square of carpet /pad.
