We have been with them since the very start through three dogs. Theirs cuts are top notch. Ann has a Dr. Dolittle touch with the animals .

We've used Out-U-Go for several years now and they've been mostly good. The service this time…read morehowever was shocking. We have a cat, which is super easy to take care of - all he needs are visits and love. We leave our cat with these caregivers so we know he's in good hands and so we don't have to stress out. Several of his visits this time were good, mostly had the same cat sitter and she seemed knowledgeable. The sitter that came right before we returned from our trip was new but that's nbd. We get home, check around the house as we usually do, go into the bathroom where his litter is kept. I'm baffled to see it's dark grey and dirty, surely not litter. Upon looking further I noticed the sanded grout bag near his litter box (we recently renovated our bathroom) was the culprit. This sitter took the bag of sanded grout and dumped it into his litter box. Our poor cat was using his box in filthy chemicals. I was livid. We looked up the particular grout and didn't clearly see if it was toxic to cats, but we're taking him to the vet as a precaution. Furthermore, our entire bathroom was coated in a layer of dark dirt, as well as parts of our house. I emailed them and left a voicemail voicing my concerns. They called back and the guy literally didn't let me say two words the entire time while saying he was sorry. He also said it was an honest mistake. I'm sorry but no. Sanded grout is clearly not litter and the litter in the box was completely different. Also once you saw it was clearly different or god forbid, looked at the bag - fix it immediately. Don't leave it there. It says ON THE BAG this is toxic. I can understand a simple mistake like not showing up a day we scheduled you or not scooping the box, but this? No. Absolutely not. They offered to pay for our vet visit, but we will also be charging them for the cleaning fees we will have from all the dirt and should be refunded our visit, at least for that day. We have recommended you to several of our friends, but we will no longer do this and we have let everyone know what happened. They will not be receiving our business anymore because we travel frequently and honestly, cannot handle the stress of knowing our cat, our child basically, is in danger. We have more reliable friends and honestly anyone who is intelligent enough to know the difference between litter and literally grout.

The sitters left notes in my apartment for each day. I think there should be a way to send the notes digitally, via app or text or something while you're gone, but I accepted just receiving an email after the first visit. Except that they didn't send me an email after the first visit. I had to email them and their response was "Oops we must have forgotten." I was 1000 miles away and couldn't do anything about it. The notes from the rest of the week make it seem like everything went well. They were very quick to charge my credit card for services rendered though! Second use: 0/5. When I originally set up my account with Out You Go, I requested visits on a total of 6 days. 5 of them consecutively and then 1 day about 2 weeks later while I was on a business trip. When I got home from the business trip, I noticed the food & water bowls were empty and the litter box was a disaster. I looked for a note from the sitter but there wasn't one. Because they didn't show up. Luckily, I was only gone a little more than 36 hours and left them with full bowls as I was leaving, but it's unacceptable. They were left alone with no food or water because Out You Go skipped their visit. I tried to call and speak to someone but got their out of office message. I also sent an email but have so far gotten no response. I have to say, for a company that charges $64/hour, I expect more. I will be searching for a new pet sitting service the next time I leave town.
