I like to stick to my favorites, particularly with hair and have been going to First Street Barber since 2008. What makes First Street Barber different is that they treat the customers like family, cut hair with consistent perfection and provide an atmosphere that makes you want to come back.

Gio was welcoming, listens, used some cool, relaxing (great smelling) bump patrol products on my problem areas & cut the hair from my ears (and nose) without me having to ask. Say what you want- that's a sign of a great barber. I was thoroughly satisfied with my hair cut. & his prices are VERY affordable. So you know I had to tip. If I'm ever back in Bayonne, Gio is the ONLY barber I'm going to!

Gio is in the back left of the shop, and brand new to this location, so show some love

Finding a new barbershop is such a chore, you have to find one where the barber can give you the…read morecut that you are looking for. This spot is a solid barbershop. Pricepoint is a little on the pricier side but I believe you get what you pay for. Recommend getting an appointment beforehand on their website with whichever barber fits your aesthetic the most. Parking is street parking in downtown Jersey City but I don't think I've ever had a problem here. I ended up booking an appointment with Luca, and he did a great job with my hair. Super personable and great experience talking to him and getting his opinion on how to style my hair and his opinion on what the best cut for me would be. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a new barber

I had walked past the shop a bunch of times as I hang out in the downtown JC area often and had wanted to see what this place was about. What really drew me to Etiket was the look of the shop so I said let me give it a try. Love the way this shop operates ! All the barbers are cool, down to earth people. I have gotten my haircut by a couple different barbers - 2 guys who are no longer there and Charles - but my main barber is Goose. Chill dude, always makes for good convo and most importantly my haircut is ALWAYS on point. At this point all he needs to know is if I'm getting a full haircut or just a shape-up and then it's say no more. The shop is always clean, the play good tunes and I have started using the Baxter's of California face lotion since going here. You can book online and I personally have never waited any longer than 10 minutes max if Goose is finishing up another cut. I recommend the shop to all my people if they are in the area and in need of a cut but would also recommend to strangers. Great atmosphere all around !

Booking online is easy, I always wait last minute (by accident) and always find a slot. (Not sure about calling/ phone service, but when in the shop I do see quite a few people call and whoever is available will answer when they have an extra hand) Would highly recommend seeing Joey as he has been phenomenal in me just asking him to do his thing vs asking for a specific style.

I've been going to Sundays for almost a decade; I commute a fair distance because the service is always stellar. There's over ten years of people singing Andre's and Mark's praises, rightfully so. Recently, I've started getting appointments with Andria and she more than lives up to the Sundays standard of excellence. I sat down, said I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted, and after some clarifying questions Andria got to work and delivered a great cut. The Sundays Best service is thorough, and I appreciated she gave me updates as to where we were in the process and what the next steps were. I left the chair feeling my best, no pun intended. I'll close with two more thoughts. First, if you go to either location of Sundays Barber Shop, you will have a wonderful experience. Second, book Andria with confidence. You will get a great cut and/or shave.
