honestly the only way to get the coolers I like. but 3 times I have had to wait over 3 hours for delivery (despite the delivery fee being a flat rate) and one time received nothing at all because they allegedly did not receive my order, despite the confirmation email. Today, on a Saturday, they would not take my order at all because the "only driver in Toronto" is on vacation. Would have thought there would be backup on a Saturday. read more

the last 2 x I ordered ive had issues. first time, I had a driver not follow the delivery instructions and then knocked once so lightly and basically ran back to her car to leave. I saw her, ran out after her only to hear excuses. she didn't attempt to call and knocked once quietly on my door. my neighbour was sitting outside and confirmed this. the driver yelled at me and didn't want to give me my order. this last time, I ordered an hour before closing and never received it. no call, no knock, nothing. called the next day, and there was no explanation. the call centre had no clue. they apparently don't get any email information from the drivers in my city, Hamilton. like what?! don't waste your time ordering from this company. you get no apology, no reason, no delivery. it's pointless. read more

Wow. Four hours late and then brought the wrong beer. If that wasn't enough after I said I'm not paying for a product I didn't order the delivery man decided to call me again and bitch at me for wasting his time. These people are absolute thieves, and I tell anyone I can to avoid, avoid, avoid. You can expect someone to show up at your door at entirely a different time than you expected, then ask for a payment amount without any order info or invoice. After paying, you discover many things are missing from the order, and they also added a large tip to your total without even telling you. So if you tip delivery people, like most people do, you actually topped twice. Dial a bottle won't even respond when you try to complain or resolve being overcharged. STAY AWAY read more

Made an order almost 2 hrs ago. Just called to check when I was receiving it and I was informed the area is closed and no one is delivering. She didn't even apologize, she said it was my fault because I ordered through the app. They didn't even call or send and email to notify. WORST SERVICE! Don't use them!! read more

I would give them -110000 let me start by saving the driver stole a package of 2 tablets delivered by Amazon for my kids for Christmas, u have called manager called back and yelled rude oh call the police then and laughed at me!! I will be calling the police buyer beware !! Theft of 300 dollar package didn't even give me the alcohol took off and stole my package. Grossly incompetent. Dealt with 'Glen Vardy'--one of the chumps swindling you--after 6 hours had passed (also spoke to them after 2hrs and 4hrs--at both points which I was Guaranteed delivery) and he was just rude and insufferable. No delivery, no apology. Waste of time. read more

Called to place a very simple order, spelled it out for her. Still somehow managed to deliver the wrong bottle!!!!!. Called again to complain, refused to exchange, refund or make up anyway for their mistake but was kind enough to yell and cuss at me at the top of her voice and threatened to call the cops. Please do yourself a favour and keep your money or spend it with better services like quicker liquor, at least they will get your order right and deliver it in reasonable time frame. read more

Definitely would NOT recommend. Was ordering from them consistently at least once every week/two weeks and every other order they were arriving with the wrong type of beer (ordered Pabst 5.9 would get the regular white cans) never once complained but today they showed up with the wrong beer AGAIN and my card kept declining (card was expired). I called to cancel my order because I can't access funds until Monday only to have the owner texting me saying I'm on the no delivery list because I cancelled. Poor customer service and your waiting at least 1.5-2 hours to receive whatever they bring. Try a different service first for sure. read more

Made an order at 5:37pm, order arrived at 6:15pm. Pretty damn good time! Only thing that sucks is the $7.95 delivery charge and the $2 for use of the debit machine. Overall pretty good. Beats having to wait in a lineup outside for half an hour. read more

Ordered a 2/4 of vodka cause I couldn't drive thinking it was the smarter choice . Have used buzzbuddy before which was great ... but thought dial a bottle would be faster .... waited over 2 hours for what they said would be 45 mins .. and my order never showed up. I tried to call many times , no answer ... they texted once saying 10-15 mins ... and still continued to wait ...they never showed up . Don't bother ... their costumer service is TERRIBLE read more

Had to order 3 separate times to finally get a call a week later. Arrived, got overcharged and there were items missing. Estimate we were out $60 on what was charged vs what we received after looking at the LCBO website. Just an awful company with no customer service. Do. Not. Use. read more

Alright, whoever thought of this thing is a GENIUS! I'm not even close to joking when I say that. Dial-A-Beer actually delivers alcohol right to your house, and only charges a small fee for it. You know how you've been partying all night but suddenly you run out of booze and everyone's too drunk to drive? Well, you could take a cab to and fro a liquor store, waste 30 extra bucks, or you could call Dial-A-Beer and have whatever you want delivered to you for waaay less. That's right, all you do is call, give your address and tell them what you'd like. It's kind of like having a pizza delivered but instead of pizza, it's booze! To make it worth your while I recommend getting a good amount of booze, since they charge a small fee. And when I say small, I mean small. I think they add on about $4 or $5 on each delivery. That's not terrible when taking a cab would cost you ten times more than that. The prices for the booze is the same as any other liquor store. They don't up the price on their products or anything like that. It's fair, and it's fast. So the next time you think your house party is dying down due to lack of booze, call Dial-A-Bottle, get everyone to pitch a couple of bucks, and keep the party alive!!! read more

Joke of a business. Preying on people who are desperate. Order anything you want.. to wait 40 minutes to get nothing what you ordered. They show up with nothing you want and threatened to leave because there are "more desperate" people out there. These guys suck!!! They state on their website that they don't add any additional fees to the liquor store cost but they charged me $26.99 for a bottle of wine that costs $7.00. Delivery is $9.99 so they basically overcharged me by $10. I've tried negotiating with them and they just replied with more lies. Avoid!!!! read more

Absolutely horrible!!! Waited 5 hours on Friday night to get told 4X that the driver's voicemail is full!? Went to bed. Ordered the next day. 4.5 hours later, the driver called to say that Friday night his phone died. When he arrived with my order, he tried to charge me $79.88 for a $68.50 order!!! I asked to see a receipt. He said "This is what 'they' told me to charge you. I don't have a receipt." I told him I'd pay $68.50. He said "Guess I'll see what they say." If you want to be taken advantage of, call them. (The week before, I paid $71.97 including tip.....He got zippo for a tip tonight and I will NEVER order from them again!!!!!!) HEADS UP!!!!! read more

So, I placed an online order... didnt get any response for 45 mins... so i called in... I was met with an operator that did not have a clue about my online order, so i re-ordered. 30 mins later, i was greeted by a couple guys in a SUV with a bunch of alcohol, nothing was what i ordered. the man I met, then tried to sell me on substitute booze. When I asked the amount, he told me $79. I ordered a 1.14L Absolut Vodka with 2 - 2L Coke. I told him that was rediculous and i was expecting a $10 charge for delivery, he told me that is only for downtown... So bottom line, I was being charged a $30 fee to have booze delivered, that was not what I ordered. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Called...said it would be 40 minutes...waited...qith curtains wide open to let passerby see my 75 inch th.. Called to ask where they were after 60 min...the Indian said...u called 4 other delivery services.. .i said beg your patdon.y would I do that and wait for u with curtains wide open in the ne at night...asked y didn't u call me...at least I could have taken a cab. I recently placed an order for wine, since I am unable to drive due to an accident. I used the app, which works just fine. My total for 3 bottle including the 8.00 delivery fee came up to 54. and change. The delivery person, Larry (very nice guy) handed me the machine to pay and to my surprise, now my bill was 61.45. I asked him why this is. He explained to me, that he doesn't work for Dial a Bottle but for the local Beer Man. While I don't have a problem with that, I do have a huge issue with Dial a Bottle not telling their customers about this and charging them extra. So, essentially I paid almost 16 bucks in delivery, as well as the delivery fee wasn't 8 dollars but 8.85. I addressed this with a member from the company by email, and instead of understanding my complaint, he pretty much made excuses and questioned my complaint, super unprofessional and frankly rude. I will not be using this company again, ever. Rather support the small local businesses. read more

ordered 12 bottles, two were not delivered and 4 were wrong. Asked for a correction and didn't even get a response. My other order was ok, so if you want to take a 50% chance that things may be ok, go right ahead. Me, I'm going to use the LCBO curbside pickup from now on. It works fine. read more

I work from home from time to time after office hours and am glued to my computer, so I ordered 2 bottles of Yellow Tail Chardonnay which retail price is 13$ approximately, 2 hours later the delivery man arrives and charges me 48$. I asked him politely to check again, as online my charge was 30$, and he said "my boss says the best that I can do is for 40$". Not only were they 2 hours late, but they overcharged me, and left me feeling uncomfortable for even asking to verify. Best best is to fetch your own or find an online app that has credibility. Their system is extremely sketchy. Do not recommend to anyone. read more

If i could give zero stars I would. They brought the wrong product then wanted me to pay for it. Then said they wanted the extra money because one of the bottles was worth more than what I ordered. The delivery guy was apolagetic but said the company would make him pay out of his own pocket. I read on his phone what they sent him and it was not sufficient for him to make the proper purchase. I called their office and the "lady" who spoke to me spoke like a rude construction worker (sorry to the construction folks) said it was "too bad not our problem" absolutely zero customer service and they confirmed they would have made the poor delivery guy pay out of his pocket for the error. I tried just to say i wanted to speak to a manager and it was "uh No!" and hung up in my ear. Never again! read more

Complete garbage. It took over 2 hours for my order to arrive, without a phone call to inform me that it would be longer than 1 hour. Order arrives with some incorrect items, and an expensive bottle of wine with the label stained (was supposed to be a gift). Called customer service twice, both times the representative said the driver would call me back to correct the order. It has now been over an hour with no call back. I've never written a bad review for a company but this was the worst service. It took 4 hours after being told it would take 40 mins and they didn't even get my order right. I asked for a discount and they said the best they could do would be $2 off which they did not follow through with anyway. I asked for a reciept which I never did receive. I have tried contacting the manager several times and he does not pick up the phone or return my message. read more

Terrible.. First they charge tax on alcohol which must be going straight into their pockets. Second their customer service is the worst. I called at 4:29, she said deliveries finish at 4:30 (4:45 on the website) I say it just 4:30 now and she hung up on me. What a way to do business! read more

When the call dispatcher answered the phone, she was completely unprofessional, rude, they gave us a wait time, when we called back after an hour of waiting, the dispatcher again spoke to us like we were incompetent and it was just an absolutely awful experience. If we could rate the service 0 we would. Will not be a returning customer. read more

The cost is the same as at the store plus a small delivery fee added on top. We honor LCBO and TheBeerStore specials and we can advise you on any current promotions when you call! Upon delivery, the driver can take away your empty bottles up to 3 cases of 24 and subtract their value from your bill. We also take back wine bottles and cans. We accept Interac, credit cards and cash as methods of payment ! You don't have to go to the ATM anymore when you place the order ! There is no minimum orders. You can order a 6 pack, a mickey or 3 x 24s of beer. The delivery fee is the same. We can also bring you mix, cigarettes and snacks from a corner store!
