I usually head to the selection of craft beers in cooler room as my first focus before picking up other items. Staff are friendly and helpful. I was surprised because I expected a bit of chaos since I visited on New Years Eve, but the store was organized and I found exactly what I needed quickly. I didn't have to wait in lines because there were several registers open. The cashiers were all very friendly and helpful. I came for the local wine, but I noticed they carry spirits, beer, and wines from many other countries as well. P.S. The red "Badass Baco" Frisky Beaver wine is very good!

This is an update to the change of location within the building for this location. Oh boy what a…read morechange, the new space is much bigger and brighter which lends to a much more inviting place. Add in a much larger variety to boot we are looking at a very decent outlet for LCBO. This is by no means a flagship location so the variety for vintage section is limited but the main stream brands have a decent selection. The entry door is now at main street level and one can just pop in and be on the way without ever entering the core building. The checkout are somewhat limited but I haven't been here at peak times to notice a more than normal delay at checkout. Kudos for making a change that's for the better.

Both the cashier and manager told me that I had to buy a bottle of Two Ocean wine in order to claim the free one. However, I mentioned this to my friend afterward and he told me that it's not true. When he went to claim his bottle, he didn't have to purchase a bottle at all. The voucher, upon a closer look, didn't say we have to buy anything. I ended up buying a bottle anyway, but the point is, LCBO should not have insisted.

While the shop's Lakeshore location is tight from the outside, there's plenty of wine passion inside. Certainly don't sleep on this LCBO alternative. I came this weekend to pickup our holiday icewine batch, which we ordered 8 weeks earlier on the prior visit. You could say we were tempted by the golden nectar! In mythology Bacchus might be credited with viticulture & wine creation, but during the winter freeze is when this specialty wine comes to life. Icewine is pressed from frozen grapes resulting in small drips of this concentrated & uniquely sweet nectar with about 13% alcohol & 200g/L sugar content. Upon opening a bottle, we're quite ecstatic about how our Riesling icewine turned out. True to form, bold notes of honey, peach & sweet citrus were evident within each full body sip. If typical late harvest is 7/10, this is 10/10 on the dessert wine scale. While this isn't your award-winning Niagara icewine, the charming taste of this Winexpert Après batch pleasantly surprised us at its price point. Celina was knowledgeable & friendly, flexibly offering us a half batch as well as providing labels & bottles for our order. The deal was too sweet to pass up for 15 icewine bottles. DIY bottling option is available. Having previously tried our hand at bottling, we opted for the convenience of pickup. Glad the end-product received was literally a vintage vine.
