A fave! Highly recommended. Accept no substitutes! Way better than Gate A31 or A27 adjacent! :)

This is a very nice terminal and finding the baggage claim was easy. The checkin station for my United flight was also easy to find before I left Denver. I didn't have any issues while I was here.

When arriving at DEN, you will exit the airplane into one of the three Concourses listed as A, B, or C. I arrived on Southwest in Concourse C. I made sure to make use of two of those long, horizontal travelators (moving walkways). Then took the escalators down twice to get to the train. Took the train to the Terminal and then took the escalators up twice to get me to the Baggage Claim area. On the plane we were told our luggage would be at Carousel 9, but without notice, they switched it to Carousel 7. A nice man told me there was a switch and my bag was one of four left on the stopped carousel. After retrieving my bags, I had to take the escalators down to get to the Arrivals pick-up area. It is quite confusing! It's difficult to decide whether or not I am a fan of those white pointy canopies or not. From the inside, I couldn't understand the aesthetics. Reminds me of the circus' big top, but with many mini-tops! Those canvas tops represent two things: the snow-capped mountains and the Native American tepees. Elrey Borge Jeppesen was an aviator who set standards for safety in the early days. There's an exhibit located on level 6 at the north end of the terminal. I missed finding it! In one of my TSA pictures, to the left of the American Flag, there's a statue, I think that is where I should have gone. Didn't realize it until I got home and looked closely at my pictures. Jeppesen moved from Salt Lake City to Denver in 1941. He is an important figure in the Colorado aviation history. According to the internet, there are 6 levels in this terminal. As I wandered, it only felt like 3 levels. I was in shock with how crowded TSA was at 9AM on the floor below where I entered after being dropped off. You can get a good view of both sides, North & South. Thanks to my son, he told me I could go to "The Bridge". I stayed on the entrance level and walked over to the bridge and eased my way through the very short TSA Checkpoint lines. Yay!! In going this way, I was already at Concourse A. I only needed to take the Train past Concourse B to Concourse C where my gate was. If you read this and it is helpful for you when you leave Denver, you're welcome! I'm one of those odd people who wants to explore the airport rather than solely use it for travel. I arrived at the airport early for my flight home so I could see the shops! The plane was beginning the boarding process when I arrived at Concourse C! I just about took too long meandering!

It made the flight go by quickly. The bad: the de-icing process takes far too long. Our flight was delayed in taking off by an hour because of this. When both flights landed at the airports, we had to wait 30+ minutes on the plane because we didn't have a gate. This was very stressful because I was nervous I wouldn't make my connecting flight.

Their website clearly said $100 for a bag over 50 lbs but less than 70 lbs. It was pure blackmail & they were nasty about it in the process. There was no one at United who would help me. After the trip, I contacted United's Business Customer service. They initially claimed it was all about "limited space". Not true at all. There was a guy standing next to me checking 2 large bags that were just under 70 lbs. He was a United gold member. I was not. They gladly accepted his 60+ lb bags. United Business then wrote and told me that they had the right to charge me $200 for a 53 lb bag. No partial refund. Of course they could do a partial refund in the name of good customer service but chose not to. I would never recommend United.com to anyone. Watch out for their "variable" rules.

This is nothing like BWI, or Boston. The precheck made my life so stress free. Btw you upstairs to check in bags if you have it . Shelly tips Remove your coat , jackets, belts. Ladies keep your phone in your purse. Laptops, iPads get a separate bin. No liquids allowed. Finish your water or drinks, they'll make you toss it. Liquids must be in a clear bag. After passing through the full-body scanner and cleared, a young woman (mid-twenties?) comes up to me after I had retrieved my carry-on from the belt. Accompanied by a female TSA officer who looked younger than she was, she asked me if I would record her pat down. I said sure (I was in no rush). The young woman is clearly nervous, but the officer didn't help by telling her rudely to set her bag on the table. After pulling on a pair of gloves, she asks if she (the young woman) has ever been patted down before. No, it's her first time. Of course, the officer has to say (rudely), "Well, this one's going to be pretty through. I'm going to have to pat down your whole body with my hands, including sensitive areas." She then proceeded to quickly run through the procedures and told the woman to turn around, spread her legs, and put her arms out, palms up. What followed, I could only describe as a groping. The woman was wearing an oversized tee and black Lululemon leggings. The officer, from the back, said she was going to lift her shirt up to the top of the waistband. Fine. Then she said she was going to "use her fingers and pinch around the waistband to search you." It was not a pinch. The officer used her fingers to GRAB the leggings and pull them away from the body, more like. After finishing that, she proceeded to run her full hand across the INSIDE of the waistband! And boy, she put her hands pretty far up the "upper thigh". Both the back and front waistband and thigh checks were equally invasive. And her hand that was up in the thigh stayed up there when she searched...actually, I think it did. She put her hand so high up I couldn't even see the blue of her gloves. And mind you, the poor young woman is wearing skin-tight black leggings. I understand they need to check, but sheesh! But the chest pat down was the worst. Can't believe it actually happened like this. Officer first placed her left hand on the woman's shoulder, then her other hand straight up and down between the breasts, and proceeds to go up and down multiple times before sweeping below the bra line (for both sides). She then hesitated before moving on and used THE FRONT OF HER HAND to feel below the bra. She tells the woman "I need to check this area thoroughly, I think I feel something. Do you have anything concealed underneath your bra?" WHAT????!!! She then uses her hands with "significant pressure to ensure detection", as she put it, under the bra for a good five minutes, before finally clearing the area and moving on to finish the pat down. She also told the woman rudely not to wear leggings as they are "so tight and we officers have to make sure you're not hiding anything underneath, and we gotta check." TERRIBLE! Do bad I can't see the officer's badge, but she looked college-aged with her blond hair in a bun and was wearing the long-sleeved uniform shirt and blue gloves, obviously.
