Tip: - I would recommend using multiple people for a higher hourly rate. This was move 1 out of 2. Hope the 2nd round is just as smooth. Overall: I would recommend using this moving company.

Phenomenal moving experience! What I loved was that their price was in the middle of all the ones that I called, but most importantly came with twice as many workers & they did not charge for packing up the boxes I did not get to! As of February 2026, H-town movers provided 4 movers for $155/hr , with a $120 one time fee that covered the truck & travel. That is all i was charged! (They have a minimum of 2 hrs, but anything after that, they only charge at 15 minute intervals). I provided the boxes, tape, and paper-- you can get their packaging packet, but I found all of my stuff cheaper & they used the kitchen towels, wash rags etc that i left out for them also! However, they do provide unlimited plastic wrap & moving blankets to wrap up all furniture. They were very careful packing up all my fragile items (large dresser mirrors, China plates, mugs etc). I was very relieved with their detail to that . They were extremely efficient (did not purposely "dilly dally" to rack up hours) and had a great attitude the entire time! I could hear them singing or telling jokes to each other, which helped relieve a little bit of my stress by creating such a pleasant atmosphere. They were also extremely kind with our toddler running around. I did not have to micromanage them at all. The only thing I did have to remind now and then was if a certain section was going in storage or to our new moving location. They did not charge for making 2 stops. At the first stop, they would ask where we wanted the box or furniture item, and they happily brought it to whichever location. They do not charge for stairs, which is nice. They were also extremely efficient in packing up the storage unit where we had a ton of space left over! i would highly recommend this company & their movers and I would definitely use them in the future! Having more hands on board at a very reasonable price helped get everything done in one day and in a shorter time span than I had anticipated!

I called at 2:00PM and they were here at 3:00 PM for the move. The man was so accommodating and very careful with all of the furniture, they wrapped everything and took it off after relocating it. They were efficient, professional, had all needed equipment for the move and listened to directions on the placement of the pieces. I have moved over 17 times in my life and this was the best experience of all. The men are respectful and friendly.

To anyone considering Square Cow Movers: do yourself a favor and look elsewhere…read more I did my homework. I spoke with multiple moving companies. In the end, it was Square Cow's overly confident answering service that convinced me to go with them. Big mistake. I hired them to move a large bedroom set from a second-floor bedroom to the garage--something I clearly communicated was not a simple task. I had over four phone calls, sent multiple photos, and explicitly discussed the risks and challenges involved. Each time, I was told everything was "in the notes" and the movers would be properly equipped with straps and the right tools. I even spoke directly with the operations manager the day before the move. He reassured me--again--that his crew would be fully prepared. He even advised me not to purchase additional insurance, claiming it was an easy job and not worth the extra cost. Then moving day arrived. The crew showed up completely unprepared. No straps. No proper equipment. Within minutes, they dropped the first piece of furniture, severely damaging it. The rest of the move was borderline reckless. The crew themselves admitted that Square Cow doesn't provide them with tools or care about their safety--or the customers' belongings. According to them, "Square Cow only cares about making money." After my experience, I believe it. I filed a damage claim, and now I'm stuck in their slow, unresponsive process that may take up to 90 days to maybe--maybe--get a fraction of what the damage is worth. Bottom line: they talk a good game on the phone, but they have zero follow-through. The left hand has no clue what the right is doing, and they clearly don't equip their crews to do the job safely or professionally. Their so-called claims department is a joke. Don't fall for the sales pitch. There are better, more honest companies out there. Square Cow Movers is not one of them.

Last Minute Houston Movers - The lil stuff they packed on the truck. Out of a 3 bedroom 2 full back with a den and garage.

They were paid 119.00 an hour and was paid for 4 hours. These fools got there right at 5:00pm and was done loading the lil light weight stuff less than 45 with the help of the owner and his daughter. They did t even packed the truck all the way claiming the can only put stuff on the truck and can't go behind a certain point. So fine. Your on the clock until 9pm. You've been paid in full. But only done the work in 45 minutes. The man came with a female that had a bonnet on her head and couldn't lift much. We asked them since they done so early can they make two trips. These clowns say no, they only been paid for one travel fee, which was 75.00. I told them but you all still got 3 hours of work y'all already was paid for. He still said no. So we like ok then since y'all done so early are we gonna get reimbursed since y'all done way before 4 hours, the hood lady gonna say no, it's gonna take about two hours to unload. How it's gonna take 2 hours to unload when it took you only 45 minutes to load the raggedy old truck. The smart mouth woman said because it will. They were trying their best to kill time, so my daughter said just come on and drop this load off while we got in touch with the office of this company. Of course nobody wouldn't answer. I told my daughter don't lift a damn finger and help unload nothing on that truck. We had already told them the bedroom up the stairs. They just started piling stuff all in the living room, didn't care where. They just put it down. My daughter asked them why he leaving the mattress down stairs instead of brining it up the stairs where the bedroom is. They were done unloading at 7:05. When my daughter asked him again y'all just gonna unload all this and leave it like that, he had the nerve to tell her he needed more money. We like your paid til 9pm. It's 7:05 how do you need more money. I'm pissed. The house is still full of furniture and now gotta find somebody else to move it. Your company should be shame of yourselves getting over on people like that. I will put reviews on google, your website and yelp. I will look into filing a civil matter with the courts. They are dead wrong and not getting away with this. As you can see in the truck the way the mattress leaning over and all that space behind it. There was plenty room for much more. And look how all that stuff just piled up. My daughter was trying to tell them where to put things they ignored her. She's 28 not 16. They ignored her the whole time.

Asked for: 2 movers x 2 hrs excluding travel time for less than 14 items to take place 2 days following the quote to start at 9-11am in order to meet move out deadline that afternoon at 4pm. Quote came out to $232 to include 2 men $79/hr plus $69 trip charge, a large truck, full service, free padding, shrink wrap and disassemble/ assemble of 1 bed. What happened: Owner submitted an invoice for 4-6pm. Called owner on quote day to correct invoice to 9-11am. He verbally agree and sent me a invoice with change time of 9-11am of which I agreed to. On the day of the move, the Movers didn't show up between 9-11am. Owner was contacted several times following the no show to determine the movers whereabouts. The owner wanted me to excuse the drivers as they had a late night move the night before. From 11am, the owner stated they would be there at 1pm. At 1pm, he stated they'd be there at 3pm. I reminded him of my 4pm deadline and he claimed they be able to move me out by then. He reminded me the movers were out late the night before and adds that he is at a funeral (he was definitely in a social gathering) and would call me back to update me. He never did. I called the owner at 3:26pm when he asked for my pick up and drop off address. Information he had both on the quote and could have obtain since 11 am when I first reached out. Movers arrived at 4:10pm didn't shrink wrap or pad anything. Didn't handle my belongings with care and ended up scratching my personal items against the walls. No items were secured in the truck on the drive and the driver took several wrong turns adding unnecessary time to the travel time. At the drop off location the item were to be put in a second floor room but the movers demanded payment before unloading and once paid left half of the items (~7) on the first floor. They claimed they'd transport all items upstairs once they completely emptied the truck but once the truck was emptied they stated they had to move on to the next job, then claimed to have trouble with the truck, the accused me of not paying the full amount. Meanwhile, the owner increased the price more than $100 dollars in order to assign a $50 discount. The fact that 95% of the 1 bedroom apartment had been moved by me including disassemble and assemble of the bed, the fact that I packed item out of the car and had to transport the remaining items upstairs I don't think this company is worth working with in the future. Hopefully, the owner can improve the accuracy of his invoices, communication between clients and workers and honor start times.
