With nothing said when I got home from deployment a week after the job was done found a Ready transmission from Monster. I called the shop got a few stories and word it was an accident. So I called Monster to try and setup an easy exchange to get the right transmission when I found out the owner had called and got the quote for the transmission I asked for and the transmission I found in my truck all under my name. This Ready transmission was never brought up or discussed or point out to me, and was asked, I asked for the Street by name as I was looking at in on Monster's website. The quote only had a small up charge on the transmission, then the labor over head of shop. Accident is ruled out when you pull a quote for something that is not apart of this job. The stories still coming, but now the news and lawyers are too. Guess they did not figure on me doing oil change the day after I got home, but should have know I already had an expedition upgraded I know what I am looking at. If I would not have changed my oil I would not have caught the scam.

I had been informed that I was having a head gasket issue and Madden Auto would be a fantastic place to take it for the fix. I was delighted and had my car towed to Madden with hope. Madden Auto agreed that the head gasket was the issue and therefore did their best to fix that. My car, being incredibly stubborn, foiled all of Madden's attempts. I am pretty sure that this car somewhat traumatized both me and Madden Auto Repair for life! Numerous issues continued to appear and were almost always completely outside of our control making this project seem impossible. Until, Madden Auto made the decision that changed my life, and they bought my car a 'new' used engine. They informed me that not only had they made this decision, but also that they would be helping me with the cost because of all the difficulty. Madden Auto charged me an unbelievably fair rate, far less than I could have received anywhere else. I cried and hugged Vicki tightly as I received my car keys. Madden Auto was incredibly fair, honest, and kind and genuinely gave me one of the biggest gifts I have ever received. I truly want everyone to be aware of this amazing shop and their incredible work. As someone from a completely different state and a young college student, I could have been easily taken advantage of. My 30-year-old car has 273K miles of wear and tear on any original parts, so the job turned out to be more than simply replacing the pads. The quoted estimate was $1500 for the pads, brake calipers, drums, brake rotors, hardware kits, fluid, and labor. I had seen my car on a lift before taking it to Advantage Auto, and after inspecting the wheels, I knew the brake job was going to be involved (which is part of the reason I didn't want to do it myself). Jason loaned me a car for the day, which I greatly appreciated. AA worked from 9:00 till around 5:30 (they had delays in receiving parts from across town), and got me out of there the same day. My final price of $1300 was lower than the estimated $1500, as they didn't charge me for all the replacement parts. The brakes have been working as needed over the last month. Was it a lot of money? Yes. Did I get what I paid for? Yes. Would I go back? Yes.
