Our experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Tristen initially presented himself as friendly, polite, and easy to work with--until it came time to pay. Once an invoice was issued, his attitude and communication changed completely. He started cussing at our secretary. Unacceptable! Period! We completed legitimate repair work on his truck in good faith, maintained clear communication throughout the job, and provided a proper invoice. Despite this, payment was not made, leaving us owed hundreds of dollars for work that was already completed. There were no complaints during the repair, no disputes about the scope or quality of the work, and no concerns raised until payment was due. What followed was avoidance, excuses, and a lack of accountability. This situation reflects a pattern where cooperation exists while services are being rendered, but responsibility disappears once payment is required. For small businesses, this kind of behavior creates unnecessary risk and loss. This company would be the top of the negative star category. A shoddy work, and when confronted with an issue, there is no communication back. He even went to the company's location in grants and was told nobody you could talk to me. I'd have to leave a message. Left messages to no avail. I have no complaints about their work. Fact that is why I hired them for second time. Against my better judgment I gave them the final check for all the cleanup was done. Now almost a week later all I get is broken promises. My driveway is partially blocked and the alleyway behind my house as a big pile in the middle of it. Neighbors are complaining. The job was to pour the foundation/pad for a new sunroom. The crew was always punctual, polite, & did a wonderful job.

First off, this company is not worthy of a 1 star rating. We got an estimate for concrete work end of February for $3200.00 and the owner DAN MARTINEZ had a foreman come to our home to get "exact" Sq. footage and the guy did not even calculate correctly then wanted to charge us $5800.00. So we let them know off the bat that we would get 2 other estimates before we selected anyone. I got a call from him this morning and I let him know we had hired another contractor who had completed the job already. He became belligerent and started telling me I was poor, living paycheck to paycheck, had an ugly home and was not worth the time. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, AND NOT WORTH EVEN A PHONE CALL FOR AN ESTIMATE LET ALONE PAYING THEM FOR A JOB. Who does that to a potential customer, and then to say those disgusting things to them because someone else was fast, efficient, and reasonable. read more

Do NOT hire this person, Dan Martinez, under any circumstance! He is a liar, cheat and scammer. He never did what he said he would do and then the price kept going up, up, up almost daily. The day of the pour, he never arrived as promised and let his contracted workers and us wait for 3 hours for the concrete. He did not pay for the concrete in advance (as suggested) and we had to pay the COD. All he did was make a few phone calls and charged lots of money for that. Never got a written contract, never came to see the project as promised, and then jacked up the prices. Total dismal failure. Then when we wanted to pay the first price quoted, since he did NOTHING as promised, he was threatening and mean, repeatedly. Tried to use COVID as an excuse too but well after the fact. He does not seem to pay the contractors either, very sad because the workers were wonderful. So basically he scams the customer, the sub-contractors and all! Very disappointed in all of this but learned a lot, mostly not to trust anyone and never expect to be treated in a professional manner. Bad and costly lesson. Do hope that his bad behavior and threatening ways will come back to haunt him. Really need a negative star rating! read more

Lets just say you get what you pay for. I'm constantly surprised at how dishonest contractors are. I hired DFM to seal some existing concrete and they left me with an incomplete job. Dan talks a good story but when it comes to showing up on time and following through with what he says he's going to do your faith is better placed elsewhere. A job that he originally quoted as a two day job took longer than two weeks. In addition, he completely lied about material costs. Finally, the job was to seal the concrete and when he left there were spots that were missed in which he never came back to finish even after repeated calls. There is zero service after the sale so do not be fooled by any claims of warranty. I've filed a complaint with the CID. Please save yourself the trouble. read more

I was needing some landscaping done and since DFM had done work for us before I went on the internet to find him and instead found these reviews. I have to say that the two reviews written were not the experience we had. Dan poured an extended driveway and walkway for us in the spring of 2010. Later in the fall he poured a walkway on the side of our house and extended it to our backyard. The work he done is still in excellent condition and I am trying to locate him to do a BBQ patio. Hopefully I can find him but it sounds like he doesn't live in Az. anymore. I will keep looking. Mike L. read more

We didn't actually get any work done, but we tried for over a week to get an estimate done. Scheduled and a no show and no call. He also failed to give us a timeframe even though we asked. We shouldn't have to sit around waiting all day when every other contractor gives a hour or two timeframe. Called a little bit ago, after he had already missed two appointments and said he could be by in 10 minutes for the estimate. We won't enter into a contract with somebody who can't follow through, so we told him not to bother that we didn't want him to even do an estimate now. He replied with a very vulgar remark. No way would we trust him to do a job and do it well when he isn't professional or respectful. read more
