To date these funds have never been refunded. I provided Red Phoenix Martial Arts numerous opportunities to cure the breech via email notifications and telephone calls in 2009. 2. When I terminated the contracts after fulfilling my 12 commitment, I was notified that the contracts were self-renewing. I was never given advance notice that my contracts were nearing expiration. It is my opinion that these "self-renewing" contracts are unethical. Any business which needs them for their survival will eventually go out of business and deserve to go out of business. In the future, Red Phoenix Martial Arts will need to take an additional step before they are allowed to self-renew existing contracts. Beginning in August 2010, new Louisiana Legislation, R.S. 9:2716, will require the obligor to provide a 90 day written notice prior to the expiration of the contract of the automatic renewal and the right of the obligor to cancel the contract. 3. I believed key values of marital artists were to act with honesty and integrity. These are not values that Red Phoenix Martial Arts adheres too. When informing Red Phoenix Martial Arts that I wanted to terminate the contracts, they wanted to charge me a 4 month cancellation fee per contract. Per the Red Phoenix Martial contracts, there should only be a 2 month cancellation fee per contract. 4. The class is poorly planned and not well executed. Most of the time is spent going over "Rules for Children". I signed up for martial arts lessons not a bi-weekly lecture. I can discipline and teach my children values at home.

She runs track plays basketball, soccer, and volleyball. About a year ago she start telling me she wanted to take karate. I ignored it thinking she just was saying that because of her new love of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon. She was persistent so I began checking places out. Most places didn't seem very kid friendly. Then I found Yonsei. They were extremely friendly and invited us in for a free lesson to try it out. I was hooked by the instructors ability to connect with her right away since she can be quite shy. They have an unreal flexible schedule for the kiddos. They expect you to make 8 clases per month but you can take up to 12. There are about 10-12 classes offered per week for her age group and the classes are 45 minutes each. There are several instructors at each class and they give the kids a lot of personal attention. The only downside is that you have to make a minimum of 6 month comittment which can be tough when dealing with youngins. They do let join for 1 month to see if your kid wants to actually do it before comitting to the full 6 months. I did this to make sure my daughter wanted to stick with it. She loves it and looks forward to it each week. Hopefully we will be going for years to come and my Brooki-son gets her black belt.
