I searched Google & Yelp for the BEST shops throughout Hampton Roads. All my research indicated Guaranteed Auto Service was the place to go. I have not been disappointed! This shop is laser-focused on providing great customer-service, and top quality work at an affordable price point. They are not going to perform unnecessary work. They treat you like family (a friendly greeting & cold bottled water when you walk in the door; free car wash before you pick up your car and Thank You Note on the seat). They were very friendly and informed me that a rock had punctured my condenser. This was true. They replaced the condenser and upon driving the vehicle, the cool air turned to warm air. I returned the vehicle, and I was told the refrigerant was low. They added new refrigerant and the a/c remained cold for 11 miles. I returned to vehicle and was told the compressor was bad. I disagreed due to the age of the car, and took the vehicle to an authorized dealership. I was told at the dealership, that who ever changed the condenser had essentially ruined it during the installation. So, after almost $2000 in repairs, my A/C works again after what should have been only $1000 or less.

After a…read morefew appointments at my dealership, they suggested to change my tires at a rate which was extremely high. Also, for each oil change appointment, they never suggested to do tire rotations which can keep tire treads at an even level and not wear out quickly. So, I decided to come here and everything fixed. Last month, I had two visits where my tires replaced. Each was were they replaced 2 of them (first was for the front and the second for the back). The process was less than 15 minutes for both visits and the staff were very friendly as always. The cost was under $450 for new tires, a respectful price compared to over $650 if the dealership worked on them. All of this left me a very happy man. Brake King on Jefferson Ave is no longer a reputable company. I took my car in for front in…read moreinspection because my steering wheel was shaking when I reached 65 mph or more. The called me and said well we can't check your care because the oil light is on and it's not safe to drive but we can check for the oil light. I said yes. Y'all they came back and said you need two front tires and the oil pressure sensor is bad so we can replace that. I asked how much and they said $139. I said ok. Why they charged me $374 to pull a sensor and put a $25 one back on. Charged me a diagnostic fee for the "checking the front end" which they did not put on the lift, and a diagnostic fee for the oil sensor and labor of more than 1hr and half. I had my tires replaced by somewhere else and still having the same problem. Called brake king back and spoke to Travis. asked if he could suggest what else it could be. He had absolutely nothing to say because they NEVER fully checked my front end. Just looked at my tires and said you need two front tires. This is definitely not the old Break King and new management is giving them a terrible name. Don't take your car there. Please have someone else check it!
