We dropped off a car for a catalytic converter replacement. First red flag....they wanted a $200 deposit- cash. All we had on us was $80 but he said that would be fine. The car was promised by Friday. We called on Thursday to see what time on Friday we could pick it up. We were advised the wrong part was sent. The car would be ready Monday. We called Monday afternoon. We were advised the wrong part came again but he was expecting the correct part Tuesday. Called Tuesday. No answer and no voicemail.....all day. We called Wednesday. Same thing. We drove to the shop on Thursday to find the owner sitting in a car outside the building with the building locked up. He claimed the wrong part still came in but he was expecting the part that day. We advised him that we would take the car with us and bring it back when he calls with the right part. Almost a week later, we have yet to receive that phone call. After dealing with Dewitt's for almost three weeks, it's starting to look like he had no intention of fixing our car. We have since taken the car to a reputable repair shop who fixed it in a day. Dewitt's owes us our $80.00 back. I will edit this review only when we get the money he literally stole from us. And don't tell me he can't send the part back. He already returned three parts that were supposedly wrong Unless that was a lie. Buyer beware when dealing with this business. read more
