What makes my experience even more extraordinary is what followed. When it came time for my implant, I was told there was very little room for Dr. Kaplan to work with. Mixed feelings on this one, I scheduled an appointment for a basic cleaning since I haven't been to…read morea dentist in a long time. I assumed I had more going on since its been a while but they did a thorough job on xrays and performed a detailed inspection of my teeth. I ended up having 3 cavities and needing a "deep cleaning". They did show me why and how they got to that conclusion and I knew that I would have needed more than a basic cleaning since its been a while but my current insurance plan only covers basic cleanings and basic level dental work which I stated. I ended up getting left in the chair for 15-20 mins while they were waiting to get someone I assumed was another dentist specialist but instead sent out a younger guy that basically was a sales guy. Meanwhile I hear the doctor asking him over and over to come to me but she kept coming back saying 5 more minutes. Ive done sales in the past and he was trying to get me to commit to scheduling an appointment and bringing down their price of the 3 cavity fillings and deep cleaning. There was "extra" things in there I didn't need and basically this is where I got pretty annoyed. Im easy going and understand, I just wanted the hardened plaque removed from my teeth as a start, ended up not getting that and just leaving with the option of a 2k bill to fix all my dental problems which I knew wouldn't be covered. I would have been more receptive if the dentist just explained some of the cleaning had extra things in it I may not need and are just "nice to haves". But instead made me wait and then sent in a sales guy to try and get me to commit to an appointment. Just let people get the basic cleaning then bring up they need more in the future.

I was scared for my 13 plus year at first to undergo such an ordeal, but at the consultation, all my questions were answered and my son, though very young had a clear understanding of what was to take place. The level of professionalism displayed by staff is satisfying. We were never treated or made to feel as if we were not a priority. My son had his surgery in July on a Tuesday and he had experienced no pain in the healing process and the swelling was gone completely by end of week. I am still pleased even today with my follow up appointments.
