    Double fisting creemees
    Brendan B.

This is the best creemee stand in all of New England! The soft serve is so rich and creamy and not overpowering with sugar. All locally made! The maple creemee is to die for. The sizes and prices are also insane! Their smallest size, a jr. Is the size of a small at most places and it's only $2. Don't even think about getting a medium or large unless you skipped dinner and went straight to dessert! The large has to be a full quart of ice cream. In the picture I believe I got a baby which is smaller than a small but bigger than a jr. You can go with a few people and get 4-5 ice creams for ~$15, where else can you do that in this economy. Place is really neat and has all kinds of hand made crafts and stuff inside. They also have local fresh fruit depending on the time of year and fresh pies, ice cream pies and ice cream sandwiches to go. If you are staying anywhere in the northern end of lake Champlain you better stop at Devyn's for a creemee!

    Yumlicious attraction.

Truly an oasis in a Soft-serve desert. Found along a lonely stretch between Swanton and Alburgh, Vermont, sandwiched between the Canadian border and the upper reached of Lake Champlain. Little to no competition between these points. Not only due it's geographical position, but as I explain below. One our first day of vacation and first visit and braved the long waiting line. While waiting, I got to talking with a local fellow. He explained his love for THIS Soft-serve and the Dairy System's quality scoring of 1-5. Long story shortened - Devyns scored a 5. I took his word to my cone and switched from Hard Serve to the now Famous Devyns Soft-serve! Being a summer weekend, their top selling Maple was on the menu board, as usual. Here, size matters! A small cone is gargantuan. I ordered two small; Maple-Vanilla twist and a Maple-Chocolate twist. My wife and I agreed with my new Dairy Guru this was a 5 out of 5. Smooth, creamy, not icey, holds up well in an average summer temperature, and at a normal pace of licking. Over the vacation week we hit Devyns daily and one day a second time because I whined about it being my Birthday MONTH! Every visit a Soft-serve twist, Blueberry during the week. One once was a double scoop ordered, which was in honor of the Giffords hard-serve brand. Now, in closing, Devyns is much more than frozen dreams, they offer fresh baked pies, special cookie witches, kiddie licks on a stick, farm fresh fruits and vegetables, a nice selection of local canned goods and very beautiful hand crafted art on retired farm tools. Long Live Devyn's and the Dairy Farm!!!

Welcoming friendly people that own/run the place I always stop by for a maple creamee. The portions are very generous.

I recently stayed in Swanton, VT and stumbled across this place. This is a quintessential American small business that you must support! They have great ice cream offerings with above average portions at pre-inflationary prices. You won't be disappointed!

Huge portions here; I was actually talked out of a large and medium size cone. A "small" was plenty big enough. Cash only. Friendly staff. Lots of menu options!

Phoenix's Sweet Surprise the ice cream heard around the country

We recommend this treat, Phoenix's Sweet Surprise to everyone we know. Maple ice cream filled with maple cream topped with maple crunchies and candy! So glad we saw their viral video years ago!! Not only is the ice cream fantastic , the staff and owner are so friendly and just amazing!! The location is a gem not far off your traveled path , we drive every year from Glens Falls NY about 2.5 hours each way but- a beautiful scenic ride! From - Plattsburgh, Burlington , Canada!! It's just a short drive away and you can experience this delightful ice cream cone. You will not be disappointed. Cash only, super reasonable prices, adorable little country store shop. Top notch treats and ice cream. If you love maple you've gotta get here!

It looked cute, so I was glad to sample some of their offerings. From what I can gather, Kem CoBa specializes in specialty ice cream and sorbet flavors, though they also have a small selection of pastries as well. Specifically, they have unique flavor combinations that I had not seen elsewhere. We did not get to choose our flavor during our visit, which was okay as we got one that was quite tasty: raspberry lychee swirled with rose. I was a little hesitant about the rose at first but it wasn't overly floral and paired well with the sweetness of the raspberry. The ice cream was soft serve, and was super smooth. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with Kem CoBa. The ice cream was smooth and tasty, and the offer a product that is not typically seen in other ice cream parlors. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
