My first night at Devils Point I happened upon Stripperoke, which was awesome. It is a great way to spend a Sunday night. The only downside is that the girls make so much on stage that they don't seem to care much about private dances. I asked for a dance and was told she would come get me after she went offstage. Even trying to get her attention after that failed until they finally kicked everyone out for the night. I've been to quite a few clubs and this is the first time I've wanted to spend money and been completely ignored like that. You should go for the Stripperoke but don't expect much else. read more

My husband and I went on a friday a few weeks ago, and the girls were very strong on the pole, but one red head stripper gave us evil eyes the whole time. And then as if we weren't already uncomfortable she held her hand out like she wanted money, at the end of her song. It was my first time there and made me uncomfortable. The girls are great, but the bartender and the little guy in the stupid hat are a-holes. We went in late, like 1am, on a Wednesday night for a few cocktails. There were just a few people in the entire place. We didn't sit back, we went right up to the rack and started tipping more than $1 for every dance. There were three of us and we were dropping between $8-10 each song. Anyway, our friend went for a lap dance, my wife and I stayed at the rack and kept tipping. We even stayed at the rack when all the other people left to go sit back at their seats because the shaved head, tattooed girl (who was hot too) came out. Then at about 2, almost closing time, my wife and I ran out of ones. So, we were just sitting there waiting for our friend when the short guy with the stupid hat came up to us and said we couldn't sit there because we weren't tipping. I'm not new to strip clubs, I've lived in Portland my whole life, I get that you need to tip at the rack. However, we literally spent about $80-100 at the bar, tipped out the three or four dancers over $50 for the few songs we saw, and we were only there for about an hour. Halfway through the song, when we ran out of ones, the little guy in the dumb hat came up and said we couldn't sit there. We were actually going to get more ones and wait for our friend, who was paying for a lapdance (one of a few), but since assholious decided to be himself, we left and we won't be going back. TL DR- Spent a bunch of money in about an hour, was told by short guy with dumb hat that we weren't tipping enough. Girls there are great, dudes working there are a-holes. read more

As soon as I read about Stripperoke, I knew that was a must-do while we were visiting Portland. And it was so great! I read that it gets crowded so I made sure we got there around 8 and the place was empty so I felt like "did I lead us astray?" But nah, we just ended up having a nice booth after it became standing room only just a little bit later. I enjoyed seeing the girls dancing before the big show anyway, there were some very groovy music selections, and one of the girls was so saucy in a pin-uppy way and did adorable stuff when I went up to give her a tip. Once the karaoke begins, it's so fun because you get to see these super talented girls do insane, sexy pole acrobatics to unusual songs (never did I think when I was in middle school that I'd see a lady pole dance to Green Day's Basket Case!) and it's even more intense once you're the one on stage! It's certainly hard to focus when you're trying to sing but also trying to appreciate the beautiful lady removing her bra and spinning around a pole inches from you! And no one cares if you sing well or not because you are not the main event which is really perfect for me since I'm a terrible singer. Just an excellent time! read more

this is one of the greatest things that has ever happened to me. period. on our first night in PDX, we thought we'd check out a strip club (in WA, you can't drink in strip clubs), and we were definitely not expecting how awesome Devil's Point was. We walked in to something like "stripper-roke"- RAD! People were singing karaoke, and the sexy, tatted up girls would attempt to distract the singer. oftentimes, it just ended up being a complimentary song for each girl. Went here recently with my wife and someone slipped ghb in her drink. We had two drinks here and were not intoxicated when we arrived. Please be careful and do not leave your drink unattended. Ours was right next to is and all it would've taken was a second for someone to do it when we were looking away. I've already filed formal complaint with OLCC. There's scumbags everywhere. Been to many strip clubs all over the country, over the course of several decades, and if you appreciate good pole dancing you won't find better, anywhere. If you're looking for VIP lap dances and happy endings, you probably won't find them here. I've always seen it driving by with a couple of people outside, and decided to saunter in on a Sunday night. It was surprisingly busy, just like the coolest bars you'd expect to be..but surprising on a Sunday! Alas, it was stripperaoke night. I guess it was listed in Maxim's top ten best karoake spots in the U.S. a fellow customer there told me. He also told me he was told by several people not to try the food, you're better off going to taco bell..but really, who goes to a stripclub for the food? and everyone knows most stripclub food isn't good. But damn, those dancers are the best dancers I've ever seen and I've been to Rouge, Casa, Stars, Spyce, Acrop,...hmm I think that's about it, except oh yes...Golden Dragon. haha. Anyways. No seriously, the dancers were the best I've ever seen, they should be entering competitions in Russia or something! I've seen some good dancers on youtube and these girls were PHENOMENAL dancers. Also a drawback was one girl, presumably a dancer, was kinda mean to me...and it's not clear where the dancer area is. I kinda feel bad for the girls cuz it seems most of the crowd is there for the karaoke, not to spend money. :( This is the place to be on a Sunday night! This isn't the place to go for a bachelor party if you want to get dancers or want to get hustled and have a dancer all over you (except I guess I did see a few dancers all over guys jokingly on stage), this is the place to go for some really awesome fun though!! :) I'll probably be coming back. read more

I never thought I would be reviewing a strip club or that I would be giving one four stars, but Devil's Point definitely is WAY better than the handful of other strip clubs I've been to in my life. I'd much rather see tattooed Suicide Girl style ladies up on the stage/pole than the types I saw in Southern CA back in the day. Good music too! I remember hearing Iron Maiden and The Smiths during the course of the night. I went with a group of friends on Saturday night for the main purpose of seeing my friend's friend's band play. The strippers were bonus entertainment, although I must say that it was a little distracting trying to watch the band play with a couple girls dancing on the pool table in my peripheral vision. Watch the girls dance? Watch the boys play? I didn't know where to look! As a venue for live music, Devil's Point is not so great from a sound perspective. However, the whole strippers then band then strippers thing seemed to flow well. I was especially entertained by the fire dancer. Anytime you combine an attractive lady, fire and heavy metal, I'm pretty content. I could just sit and watch her all night. The non-dancing staff all seemed very friendly and professional, from the doorman to the bartender. Also, if you're a woman and it matters for your comfort level in entering a strip club, the patrons seemed fairly evenly distributed between men and women (at least on the night I was there). read more

This place would be really great... If there were any dancers. Seriously. The bartender was awesome and the drinks were really good but me and my buddies wanted to see some girls on our lunch break. Why would a strip club even be open if they didn't bother to have any dancers scheduled? Sure it may be a Wednesday but still, no dancers? What kind of strip club is this?? yummy. everything at devil's point kicks my ass. the drinks are excellently stiff and cheap, and served up by hotties who smile and seem happy to serve you (unlike most portland bars). i really love all of their theme nights: fire stripping on mondays and saturdays, stripper karaoke on sunday is the best and always crowded, run by a kj with an attitude so get there early if you want to sing. and the girls working for tips are hot, talented and actually nice people, although i've seen a few way-too-skinny emo girls lately ("sorrow" is NOT a good name for a stripper!). check out malice, stormy or rocket for the REAL deal read more

Stripparoke must be a rite of passage. It's the perfect way to spend a surly Sunday night. Devil's Point is such a great little place - dark and grungy but kind of reminds me of the island of misfit toys, because of the incredibly diverse and eclectic bunch one can find, and everyone's friendly, respectful, raucous and there to have a good time. The dancers are incredible. Beautiful, talented, funny, so friendly and ABSOLUTE ARTISTS. Their acrobatics are amazing - such beautiful body control and strength. Really some breathtaking performance. Have plenty of cash - these ladies earn it! Downside is that the lines for drinks can be long, yes - but the bartenders are great and the drinks aren't skimped. Good selection of liquor and an ATM right at the bar. Rocket, Berlin and Piper are absolutely outstanding. You won't be disappointed. And the best thing is that this is the kind of club the feminist in me is proud to be seen in - there's an air of respect and integrity that's really refreshing. No raunchy guys trying to cop a feel or yelling stupid remarks. Just a great group of people creating a really fun space in SE Portland. Can't wait to go back. read more

I don't know what exactly it is about this place that is so epic but I always leave really drunk with tracers burned into my eyes from the fire dancing. Its no big secret that I have been to a few titty bars in my day but this is one of the cooler places. I could do without the macho biker-esque bouncers but come to think of it I could say that about all the clubs in Portland. Wish we could class up the bouncers at more places because its tough to get into it when there's an ugly meat-head staring at you from behind the girl doing back flips off of the pole. Best Birthday Ever! This wonderful club is everything you have heard and then some. There is a happiness factor amongst the dancers that is very clear. The talent is incredible. I have never seen pole work like that. The athleticism alone will have you dropping ones faster than you can make more change. It's hard to say if I got hugged or motorboated more. The girls are genuinely beautiful. True Portland gals. off stage they are friendly, fun and lovely. I was totally starry eyed over Piper. I thought every move she made was the hottest thing I'd seen in years. When she was outside smoking I watched her solve a rubics cube mega fast and you could have taken a swim in my panties, I tell you! I'm pretty sure I will be fantasizing about making out with Piper for the rest of my life. She totally made my birthday. I was recently out in portland for business and stumbled upon this bar by chance. A taxi driver suggested it to me. Upon walking in i suddenly fell in love with the amazing performer up on stage. I had never seen such talent and personality. I cant remember her name but she did an act on roller skates and i had never seen anything like it before. a few nights later i returned to this establishment to find the same lovely lady up on stage preforming to Jesus Christ Super Star with a jesus Puppet. I think i may be in love and wish i lived closer to enjoy her performances on a regular basis. Not only was this lovely lady an amazing performer but she was personable and beautiful on top of it. I highly suggest stopping by here and checking her and the other lovely ladies of Devils Point out. Drinks were also very reasonably priced. and the atmosphere was like an LA rock club. read more

I've never been to a strip club before coming here, but I have a hard time imagining any other place with more talented women. I think the laws of gravity itself stop upon walking through the doors. Besides the extraordinary performances provided the drinks were stiff at a good price and the atmosphere was as welcoming as a dive bar can get, but I never felt weird being a new comer/non regular/woman myself. No pressure to buy lap dances or anything like that. Very impressed. read more

Was absolutely disgusted with the bartenders attitudes! What sucks the most is that my first time here was awesome, so I brought my bros and friends here telling them it's going to be a blast. Apparently a three dollar tip isn't enough to make a couple drinks that took her less than two minutes to make. We weren't being rude or obnoxious in anyway at all. So, I imagine she told her partner bartenders and all of them completely ignored us. Right on, so we left there with hundreds of 1's that the strippers didn't get to earn and probably 200 dollars, give or take, in alcohol we would have drank. For the record, the strippers are some of the best I've seen, I absolutely love Piper, but I'm not going back. The place is good, bartenders are absolute shit. read more
