Clean showers. Everyone needs access to a clean shower.

Ranger Megan is un believable. Yearly trip to the beach with aging parents nearly ruined by rental agent. Megan helped a 91 yrs old Marine Corps vet in the most extraordinary way. She know's what she did 6/19/24 1030Pst. Well done Megan

Really super nice day in Lincoln City. You could almost even hear the birds.

Ahhh.. Devil's Lakes State Campground, witness the sounds of the panicked morning doves as their homes are being cut down with chainsaws. We have stayed at a few different yurts along coastal Oregon to vacation, but none quite as disturbing as this one! I usually don't write bad reviews, but it is time. I have problems with this place. When we arrived, we were not informed that there would be a tree project going on 50 feet from our site that would involve 2 full days of the sounds of chainsaws and wood chippers. We actually planned this vacation so we could get away from the sounds of the constructions that has been happening outside or house for the past 4 weeks. We laughed at the irony of it all on the first day, and were pretty angry by the second day. I confronted the volunteer worker at site B1 about the noise. He told me that it "wasn't that loud". I asked him why I was not given any warning, because I would have probably just left if I knew it would be that loud coming in. He told me I should have called ahead to ask if there would be something like this happening. I asked him if anyone ever does that. He said not one person has done that in his 40 years of working there. I thought that was actually pretty funny, so I let him live. Another thing to note is that there was no safety tape around the perimeter of the project, which was a bit weird, since you don't usually mix kids with falling trees. I think they even made a song about it years ago. In case you are curious, here is a video of the noise level and proximity to our yurt. Enjoy! https://youtu.be/JR4s8Ovlm7w

It was an inexpensive way to hit the beach. The tent sites are clean and ample. The resrtooms are very clean. The syafg was very friendly and the location was perfect. We were right down the road from beach access.

Will definitely be back to enjoy that! We did get to enjoy their Sunday bagels and donuts..a nice touch! It was very quiet and relaxing where we stayed, and we could look out to the ocean. We sat at the fire pit each night and the Adirondack chairs were so comfy. ps the mural near the rec room is so so nice!!

This last visit we had to do laundry and the office will exchange your bills for quarters. They laundry room is clean. I do love that the place has free shuttle to the casino. Please take ones or bills to tip the driver. They will drop you off right at your spot. I have not been there since they started the housing nearby so I am not sure how that's going. They have some portables where the staff of the casino will be staying. I am hoping it does not take away from the location and that I will still feel safe. Sites are very close together so much so that you are on someone else's site when hooking up your services. Even though, the park is in town, a deer came through the site next to us to do a walk about. You are minutes away from beaches, good restaurants and shopping. The park is surprisingly quiet and is very well maintained. I didn't use the restrooms or laundry room but the electric, water and dump work well.

It is only a few miles from Lincoln City and is at the edge of a beautiful forest. The park is old but impeccably clean. There a combination of sites with water and electric and some dry camping. Our site was a back in spot against a meadow. Most evenings a herd of elks come and graze. We watched them for hours. The staff were friendly and helpful. The site we had, backed up to a big field. We were looking forward to seeing the elk that was advertised on the website. Friday we had our family arrive and were enjoying the campfire and a sand rail started racing around the field. It was fast and loud and seemed to have no regard for the safety of the people (and kids) that were in this open field. I called the park number and was told "that my husband and he is making sure the vehicle works for the celebration of life tomorrow ". I was also informed that this park would be the ending place for a very large gathering of locals. It is a yearly event. We were not informed of this event when booking. I was beyond frustrated. The noise and activity has caused the elk to vacate this area and we didn't see even one. The noise and crowd continued throughout the evening and even into the night. Loud booms (guns or fireworks) were so loud and disturbing. I will not be returning to this park. The owner was rude and disrespectful. I was disappointed in the experience.

I can't believe that I'm the first reviewer of Westwind... Woot!…read more I've come here twice now with friends and love camping here during Labor Day Weekend. Access to the island is always adventurous and with a ferry crossing across the waterway, and hike up the path to the lodge. Once the gear is all staged, cabins are assigned or tent sites if you're a little more outdoorsy. The cabins are clean, yet rustic and have heat for colder days, not that it's that cold during this time of year usually. Just make sure to bring your sleeping bag and pillows. The kitchen is well equipped and has the tools to provide large scale meals. Just bring what fancies you and your group. Beach access and hiking the hills are easy and spectacular. The views of the beach and Lincoln City are awe inspiring at the top. If you haven't camped here, then you haven't really camped. Of course bringing your beverage of choice always call for fun times, not to mention bringing boardgames and cards. I could go on and on, but once my friends realize they should have Yelped this earlier, they'll spew out all the awesomeness Westwind has to offer. Want a private beach off the beautiful Oregon coast? How about a large deck you can watch a pod of whales spout from? There are cabins to sleep in or bring a tent and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean (not a car for miles, the only way onto the island is via a boat). The lodge has a spacious kitchen able to handle our group of 150 people. The staff is amazing and have a deep love for the estuary that makes up the island. I could go one and one about it, but you just need to see it to believe it.

I refuse to spend any of my time and/or money with people and companies that treat me like Chinook Winds incorporated, trains, expects and requires their service employees to treat customers. I hope your corporate profits will now soar in 2026 since you have charged me a late checkout fee of $25, when I was led to believe otherwise in a conversation I had with Nick at 11:20am, and not notified that I would be charged by a very dour Heather at 12:45 when I was granted admittance to my room for 5 minutes to collect my things.
