Lori R.

This was a place I found on my RV app and a friend who lives in Lincoln City called around and spoke to them about what we needed. Chris in the office was very helpful in accommodating us for the time frame we needed. The week after Memorial Day weekend for a week stay. When I called the reservation process was effortless and friendly. When we arrived it was a very quick check in, which is also appreciated when you've been driving for hours. This RV park is super clean and very well maintained with paved roads and pull thru paved sites that are long for bigger rigs. They are somewhat narrow but you can get them in. There are bathrooms with showers and laundry facilities. Community fire rings at the far end of each row for campfires if you want a campfire. The campsites only have a small grassy area and a picnic table. They are full hook ups with 50 amp, water, sewer, cable and wifi. They are pet friendly with two areas for pets, the one by the restroom has no grass and the one out by the front is grassy. Both with pet stations. Also pets are no extra charge. There are some full time tenants that live in this park full time but it doesn't look like a lived in RV park. It is a very well kept and maintained park. When we were there they were planting plants. Like they are always fixing it up. We camped here in a 37' 5th wheel and would stay here again.

Just a great spot in a really nice small city. The park is clean, well maintained, and has an amazing staff that cares about the guests.

I reported it to a young lady in the office in hopes they would refund us for the days we weren't there, but that didn't happen. The people with the dog that attacked ours were not able to stay...that was a smart move KOA. It was also annoying listening to people try to back into RV spots near our pull thru site. They were coming within inches of our RV so it took our attention away from our vacation. All the employees I encountered were super kind and their store was well stocked.

We did not have a tow car we were stuck in the middle of nowhere and this tiny tiny Rv Park. They were very rude. We asked for a refund and they refused. This is the worst KOA I've ever been to. I am a VIP member and I am very angry. The RV spots to park in are very, very small and they advertise as big with the patio. It was a joke. I'm asking for my money back as we had to leave early and they refused the people that work there a very rude. I would not waste my time or my money at this terrible KOA. Go to a state park they're beautiful.

The cabin we were to check into was checked out from the prior guests. We sat around waiting for it to be cleaned, as we were to check in at 3. At 2:40, a lady finally showed up to clean it. It was 3:10 by the time she left. We went in to find the place still disgusting. The carpet in the bedroom hadn't been vacuumed and was covered in dirt and debris. The last guests old wadded up tissues were still on the nightstand. The bathroom was DISGUSTING. Hairs all over the sink and sink clearly not even wiped out. Hairs on and around the toilet and covering the baseboard heater ledge. There was urine on the floor. The kitchen counters were not wiped and cleaned, and there were dirty dishes in the cupboards. We asked for them to come back and clean and the manager (Jim?) disgruntled, came back, looked in the bathroom, saw the sink, put his finger on the long hair, wiped it on his pants (which then fell on the floor?! How is that helping?), and remarked, "okay so ONE hair?" as if I was ridiculous for making any sort of statement or request for further cleaning. Turns out, the cleaner is his wife. No wonder he was so defensive! The pool heater was broken and freezing, the hot tub was emptied, and the sauna was broken too. The basketball hoop was bent, the shuffleboard items broken, the playground in terrible condition. This was probably nice when it opened. It hasn't been maintained at all. Maybe under new management it could bounce back. Would never return and waste my money here.

There were plenty of parking in the lot and you walking the market store, the crabbing docks and some campsites on the walk to the outdoor restaurant part (also lots of fun photo ops too!) The menu prices were reasonable and displayed right at the ordering/cooking station. You tell them what you want and then you take the metal plaque inside to pay. We got 1 Dungeness crab (cleaned), 1 lb of clams, and 1 dozen oysters all steamed to try. Please do note all the accompaniments were sold separately such as butter, garlic, cocktail sauce, and lemons. They also had a microwave station for you to melt the butter along with all the tools you'll need for your yummy tray of fresh seafood. Eating crab is a labor of love but it was totally worth it! The crab meat was juicy and sweet, while the clams and oysters were briny and salty. If you want raw oysters you have to shuck them yourself due to cross contamination prevention. But the steamed oysters were actually so good too! Service was quick and friendly with everyone working hard cleaning, steaming, and dishing out orders. It's nice to have the hand washing stations and bathroom close to rinse off the stickiness from our seafood feast. Definitely recommend coming here to get your fresh seafood on if you are in the Rockaway Beach area!
