We came here looking for something to do in Punta Gordo for an afternoon with some family. How can…read moreyou turn down free rum? The two brothers who run the place are very passionate about the product and the process that it takes to make it. Even if you have been to a rum tour before, this operation is small enough to make it a very intimate experience and learn something new. Both brothers know their stuff and teach about it from a unique perspective - small business owners within a small operation. The taste of the rum speaks for their quality and hard work. Their spiced rum is what a spiced rum is supposed to taste like. Their rum makes Captain Morgan taste like artificial hand soap. Very good quality and decent prices per bottle. You can't find many places that offer a free tour and tasting anymore, so if you are in the neighborhood, check them out!

Free Tour, Free Tasting - what more can we ask for? Alex was very informative and knowledgeable! Took his time to discuss how he does everything and what happens in the next stage. We went into the front for tasting! We had a pretty big group together, 10-12 people. He let the ladies try first everytime and offered a mixer with the Rum. We had a great time here and will come back to purchase more bottles! If you have time and you are around the area, I recommend coming here to check it out!

There's a laid back vibe, set back from the road and we're out in the middle of nowhere, a dozen miles from Sebring and/or Lake Placid. But don't fret! Distilling their own rum, vodka, gin and moonshine, there's something here for anyone who enjoys a boozy drink. They have a nice wrap around bar and a music stage with plenty of parking. I let the bartender make a recommendation and I ended up with a big cup of their "electric lemonade" which was a mix of their lemon-flavored vodka and lemonade. A perfect drink on a warm and sunny spring afternoon. Look out for the house cats. The grey one wanted all of my attention. [Round number review 2100 in Florida - 457 of 2025 - 24019 overall]

Tina and another girl, who would not give us her name, and who really was a snooty type, were at the outside bar. Tina was very informative about the product, seemed knowledgeable and interested in selling the product. We tasted a few of the distillery offerings but nothing really stood out for me to bring home with me. The outside venue was nice, had a heater going since it was a bit cool, and seeing a lot of the same folks out and about is always a nice treat. Personally I would not drive further than I had to visit the place, but it is a local distillery and supporting locals is really a good thing

My friend and I took the Key West Express down to KW this past week, and returned the following day…read morealso on the ferry. Overall, the experience was fantastic. We got to the Rose Marina in Marco Island slightly before 7am in order to board the ferry. They scan the code either on your printed ticket or your phone and check your ID...have those ready and the process goes really quickly. Onboard, there are lots of seats on the main level inside. On the upper level, half the seats are inside and half are outside. There are restrooms on both levels. We opted for inside on the main level with the galley and had a very comfortable ride. We had Dramamine and Sea-Bands with us, but you can purchase Dramamine onboard the ship and they will tell you if the ride is expected to be a little rocky. They played a movie (Captain Ron...classic) on the way down, with captions on the TV screens. A lot of people read or slept. The food from the galley wasn't great, so plan to bring some of your own if you need snacks on the three hour trip. On the return trip, we did have a really rowdy group of adults who played a radio really loudly the whole ride back, which was pretty annoying. Other people also seemed annoyed by this group, but no one said anything, nor did the crew ask them to lower the volume. That would have made the return trip a better ride. But still, it was such a smooth and easy trip both ways, and SO MUCH better than flying!
