It is a family owned and run business. They must be doing something right when there is a two week waiting period for work to be done. I have had them perform brake replacements, oil changes and inspections. The work has always been top notch with no issues. There was only one time I had a minor issue with an oil change. After the oil change, I noticed there was a small amount of oil leaking from my oil pan. I brought the car back to them and they found that the oil drain plug washer had a split in it. They promptly replaced the washer and any lost oil at no charge. They stood behind their work and admitted the mistake. That's the kind of service and company I want to do business with. While their prices may not be the cheapest, they certainly are not the highest. I have found their prices to be fair and reasonable. The work and parts are of excellent quality. I recently purchased a gift card from Liberty for my son because he needed new tires for his pick up truck. He told me that Liberty's tire prices were hundreds of dollars cheaper than a shop he had been using previously. The shop has six car bays for repairs. They not only sell tires, but they perform many types of auto repais, including A/C repairs, engine repairs, brakes, exhaust, electrical/wiring, etc. Their is a samall waiting area if you want to wait for your vehicle. They have a large parking lot to hold plenty of vehicles. They also offer to loan you a car when available if needed, to allow customers to use it if needed to get to work or home. I don't know of other repair shops that offer that kind of service. If you can't bring the car to the shop the day of repairs, you can drop if off the evening/night before and drop your key into an envelope and key box with instructions of what needs to be done. I wholeheartedly and easily recommend this business.

We continued driving and it eventually restored itself and came back on. This happened a few times before we realized we better head off the PA Turnpike and find a repair shop. Lucky for us, we found Hostetler's Garage! Dan was super nice taking care of us even though it was after 4:00 and his shop closed at 5:00. I needed a new alternator, and he told us the job would be about 4 hours. He had already promised a couple of his customers that he would work late and finish their cars, but he made sure he had my needed part that night so that he could get to work on my car 1st thing in the morning. His employee, Corey, was nice enough to load the 4 of us and our luggage into his truck and drive us to a local hotel for the night. When my car was finished early the next afternoon, Dan drove my car to the hotel for us while Corey followed him to take him back to the garage. We were all amazed at the way Dan and Corey went above and beyond to help us out! It was immensely appreciated! I would highly recommend Hostetler's Garage to anyone in that area. If I lived closer, I would definitely be switching to them as my mechanic. They are awesome!

They were waiting for me when I got there. Water pumped had failed. Parts store closed. Gave me a ride to a nearby motel. By the time I walked to the shop after breakfast Saturday morning truck was already on the rack with a new pump getting installed. Guys were as helpful as I could have asked, clearly already busy but in my circumstance worked to get me on the road as fast as possible, and the cost was better than fair. Can't thank them enough.

We needed to have a vehicle towed after it was unable to be started. We called AAA and they sent…read moreout a tow truck from this company. The time it took for him to arrive was acceptable. That's where anything positive ended. First, he was rough with the vehicle, hitting the chains against it and handling it like it was a junker. He worked very quickly but not carefully. The garage was 3.2 miles from where the vehicle was towed from. The driver claimed he made a "wrong turn" and the trip ended up being just over 3.5 miles, which isn't a huge issue except he could charge more for going over the half mile mark. That short of a distance from start to finish should not result in a "wrong turn." The garage we had it towed to requested the vehicle be placed at a certain place. The tow truck driver was uncooperative with this request, and placed it where he felt like placing it. As he was removing our vehicle from the tow bed, he did not fully lower the bed and dropped our vehicle a foot onto the ground, causing the rear wheels to bottom out. Completely unacceptable. While we did file a complaint with AAA and the tow company, the tow company was just a single entity and the driver was the owner, who did not offer any kind of apology. In fact, he hung up mid-discussion. I would never trust my vehicle to this company for anything. The kind of service we received was rude and disrespectful. We've had other tows from AAA which were wonderful and when the time comes to need one again, we will be sure to request that this company NOT be dispatched. Treating someone's personal property so poorly creates a very negative image. I want to share this so that others' don't suffer the same experience.

One of the drivers from this company, (we don't know if he was the owner or just a driver) was backing out onto the road, which I think is illegal, to hook up stranded vehicle. We got out of the car and mentioned this to the driver pointing out he was in the wrong for backing out into the road the way he did. He was a complete smart ass. My car sat on their lot for three days with no updates. When they finally called, I paid nearly $1,000 and went to pick it up--only to realize they had left my doors unlocked the entire time. Because of that negligence, someone went into my car and stole everything inside. To make matters worse, I was told that none of the cameras on their lot were working, which is unacceptable for a business that keeps customers' vehicles overnight. After everything that happened, they only reimbursed me $40, which doesn't even begin to cover what was taken or the stress caused. Since then, I've spoken with several people around town and learned that this isn't an isolated incident. Hearing that others have had similar issues with care and security only makes this situation more frustrating. To top it all off, my check engine light came back on just one week after the inspection, which seriously makes me question the quality and reliability of the work performed. I paid expecting professionalism, security, and accountability--and received the opposite. This business showed a complete lack of responsibility when it came to customer property.
