We visited Deux 22 from Los Angeles while walking around Rue Saint-Joseph around lunchtime. We started feeling hungry and a bit homesick, especially craving Mexican food, when we came across this restaurant spontaneously. We didn't have a reservation, but the friendly staff immediately accommodated us. We ordered the beef nachos to share. We were expecting carne asada similar to what we're used to back home, but it was more of a shredded beef style. Even so, we were pleasantly surprised--it still hit the spot, especially in the context of missing home flavors. They also provided three unique spicy sauces, which added a nice variety to the dish. Pleasantly surprised with the environment, food, and service. I had one of their lager beer labels and the carnitas tacos. Located in the St. Roch foodie neighborhood. Most of my other saved destinations were only open for dinner. Sat in the patio. I enjoyed everything which came with the tacos. A vibrant salad and excellent garnishes. Pickled onions, crema, and two accompanying salsas on top of the store bought varieties. I likes the mango and smoked chipotle together. Sadly the tacos have four options but for the plate you only get one choice. I enjoyed my dish but the only thing to improve were some of the meat was a tad dry, but the salsas bolstered the flavor. read more

Didn't eat the food but the selection of tequila and gin is impressive. Enjoyed our bartender and he showed us numerous gins to choose from which was fun. If we hadn't already started on gin I would have definitely gone for the tequila. They have don Julio, Milagros, and all the the other great ones! I'd recommend coming and checking it out read more

3 in 1 concept with boutique, resto and bar!! Very hip and original! We went primarily to shop for their selection of vintage clothing, but soon fell in love with their liquidation sale and bought almost half a rack!! They have a really cool playlist in the background with a mix of French rap and English jazzy tunes. I think we have stumbled upon a rare treasure! The staff was bilingual and gave such spectacular service to the both of us. She asked us if we were looking for anything and the moment we held an item she would ask us for our sizes and suggests similar items that we may like as well. We got a lovely lamb wool cardigan for myself, a pair of Palladium shoes and three shirts for my beau. Easily spent close to $200 year. Will definitely come back next time we are in Quebec City, maybe for the bar next time! read more

My friend and I came here for a quick drink and appetizer, we were not disappointed! I had a margarita and she had a Caesar, both were delicious! We also split the quesadilla - so good! Came on a weekday night and this was one of the few places open. The other bars i wanted to go to in the area were full packed or closed. Atmosphere is ok, but not cozy or charming imo cuz of the store on the other half and not enough tables, had to opt for the high bar tops. The ceviche appetizer was delicious... but the fish taco i got was disappointment and hard to eat (the shredded stuff is radish, not cheese!). The quesadilla is standard. Great unexpected find, exceptional service and surprisingly good "Mexican-style" flavors. As native Texans, we were impressed by the El Pastor tacos which are accompanied with a fresh side greens salad. The chicken quesadillas were ok, but also came with a fresh side salad, which we have found hard to find (perhaps this is more difficult in the winter time). The 222 beer is brewed by Farnham exclusivy for this establishment and pairs well with a lime wedge. read more

Cool little neighborhood bar in Quebec city. The drinks are priced decently and they blast classic/new rock over the speakers. The bartender makes a decent old fasioned. However, my wife's drink, the Pisco Sour, was waaay too sour...almost like drinking pure lime juice. I think a few splashes of 7up to replace the sour would have livened it up a bit. Otherwise, this was a cool, mellow bar that we visited on a weekday (open till 3am!). Note: If you want to get trashed, they have $4 shooters lol. 3.5 stars rounded up. read more

This was a random Mexican place we went to because nothing else was really open or available that night. Service: the service was attentive and helpful. Food: I got the pork tacos which were flavorfull and a little bit spicy. I like that they came with a salad. My boyfriend got a burrito which was ok but not the best burrito. The chips and guacamole were kind of a small portion since they didn't give refills ok guacamole and salsa. Price: for the portion size it's pretty standard. read more

Our Airbnb had this awesome spot as a suggestion so we decided to try it for dinner. SO SHOULD YOU! We walked in at about 8 pm and there was seating available. Our server told us we could sit anywhere we wanted. She came back with menus and water. We got drinks, a Paloma for me and a beer for my boyfriend. She was so nice to ask me how I liked my Paloma in regards to sour/sweetness. We got guacamole and salsa, the guacamole had a nice taste to it. I think there might have been cumin in it. My boyfriend got the pastor tacos - please, try them! They are amazing. The meat has a great flavor and is so tender. I got the taco of the month which was chicken and poutine cheese. It was pretty good, but too much cheese for me. Theeeen, we got shots :) our server told us about the different tequilas they carry and made suggestions. So in total, that was an entree, two taco meals, a dessert, two cocktails, and 4 shots of tequila for $98 Canadian dollars. For a night out, it was great! Our server was so good! The nicest terrasse on St-Joseph. Even during rainy days. (They just instaled a permanent roof on half of it) I didn't try the drinks yet. But for the mexican food and the beers it's a really nice spot to try. The place is crowded on Thursday happy hours on Friday and Saturday night perfect if you feel like meeting people downtown. It's also a relax spot to shop for clothes and have a nice meal during lunch hours. read more

Bless Deux 22 for attempting a version of Mexican food in Quebec. The nachos we had were generous though I wasn't a fan of the salsa. A veggie burrito was more of a grilled tofu wrap but very decent and served with a tasty salad dressed with lime juice. The margaritas are freshly made and the service friendly. read more
