This poor Castle has been through hell I got sold nine different times. It was even a school at one time. And one time it got bombed. But some nice guy ended up buying it and restored it and it is absolutely gorgeous. I must see if you are in this area. There's a cafe at the castle if you get hungry or thirsty and also Cafe at the very top. Cost for two people $50 American money. We stay here about 4 hours. Not knowing what to expect, we spend first money in an excellent giftshop before entering the castle. What a nice place. A lovely location with great views, nice furniture and wall paintings, but, above all, fantastic stained glass windows. A great place to visit.

Of most of the bases that I've been to and we both stateside and abroad, ramstein is in my my three so far. It's a medium large base from what I could tell and there's a lot of interesting history to see. The base exchange is ridiculous. They literally call it the mall and you can tell by when you go there. Food court is huge and they also have a five guys outside. There were food trucks parked outside as well. It's easy to get around the base since the roads seem to follow. Germans common sense architecture for driving. I enjoyed mustang and look forward to coming back.

If you are lodging at the hotel and want delivery just go on aafes.imenu360.mobi and they will deliver your food sometimes they do it off base also. Moving on to the PX OMG it's huge. They have everything it's like a Macy's but way better because they have alcohol and a huge selection of shoes casual and athletic. It's a mini foot locker inside of the PX. They literally have everything I'm going to school shop there from now on. Plus they have other stores and kiosk as you walk through. This base has lodging , gas station and an airport its big. And just like we always say in America big is better lol. No it's a cool, clean well kept base though.
