This is an AMAZING food tour! Our guide Susan not only took us through the French Quarter, gave us a history lesson on the area and food, but also gave me tips on how to navigate and park in New Orleans. There were about 12 of us, a family from Australia and Great Britain as well as my girlfriend and myself. Susan expertly navigated us through the busy streets while providing information about the areas we going through and answering random questions. The food! All the food was delicious. We started off with local cookies, had a sandwich at an Italian place, alligator sausage, po boy, oysters, and much more. We truly enjoyed the "New Orleans Food Walking Tour" Our guide, Susan, was amazing! She is very experienced and passionate about everything "NOLA" (especially the food). She gave a thorough history of each food item we tasted, as well as different historical facts about the French Quarter. She even went into great detail about the different styles of making gumbo, as well as the difference between Cajun and Creole cooking. Whether we had questions about New Orleans, different restaurants, or other recommended activities, she was full of useful information and helpful insights. And such a lovely person and warm personality. Food Tours are one of our favorite activities when we travel, and this one surpassed our expectations. Each place we visited was expecting us with seating and ice cold water waiting. Portions were generous, and there was a nice variety of local favorites. The Quarter is a small place, therefore, it was not a lot of strenuous walking - longest walk between stops was 8-10 blocks. Would definitely attend another food tour with the operator DK. read more

Susan was our guide today. our group totalled 16 and she kept us moving and together thru the rain. she did try to give her talks in restaurants and overhangs to keep us out of the rain As much as possible. when we stopped for seating at separated tables, she spoke to each table for that group so we could all hear. she was informative about the food, the history of each item we tasted and about the history of the city. we thoroughly enjoyed her cute personality and presentation. she answered all our questions and directed interested parties to more restaurants and shopping to visit later during our stay. our group of 4 highly recommend this tour and especially Susan. read more

I didn't think I'd enjoy a three-hour food tour, but I was mistaken. The tour was wonderful! Susan was a great guide, very knowledgeable and an expert at leading groups successfully. I have been to NOLA several times. The food choices are just overwhelming! What a joy to have time with an expert guide. NATE rocked. He treated us to great restaurants as well as his expert advice on the menu. He was very knowledgeable of the history of the city and interpreted the evolution of Cajun and Creole quite credibly. He had the gift of providing just enough information, so as to be engaging and accessible to his audience. (The day after the tour, I stopped by again, and Nate provided a great recommendation for lunch). I really enjoyed every restaurant and every sample. I was happy with the amount of samples that were provided...not too much and not too little. I have been to NOLA countless times. This was an incredible way to spend the afternoon. Our friends love food tours so when we decided to go to New Orleans, the first thing they did was book this one. Susan was our guide and she was great! So knowledgeable about not only the food but history, culture and things to see and do. We started off eating at the French Market with a giant sausage, which was delicious...then we continued walking and enjoyed gumbo, jambalaya, grilled oysters (heavenly!), muffuletta, some alligator bites and finally some pralines. We also had a chance to purchase some cocktails along the way and they were great. I loved the safety protocols they took to ensure all tour members were vaccinated. It made meeting and eating with the others on the tour much more comfortable. We did this first thing when we arrived and it was a great way to dive in and get oriented in the city. When we first arrived and she said "get ready for a fun three hours", I thought to myself that it would really drag but the first time I looked at my watch, we were already on our way to our last location. Holy Cow! We had some scheduling issuse where they moved our tour time 3 times and I was beginning to think we were not going to get on the tour...but alass we did get to do the tour. Let me say it was an amazing experience in food and hiatory and well qorth the money/time spent. Hot man it felt like the devils front porch this time of year and thankfully at each stop they had an air conditioned space for the tour group to enjoy the food and drinks. Nate the tour guide was very well informes and gave us some his NOLA history that we did not get fron any of our other tours. Nate is at the top of my list of all ti.e great tour guide. Now what you have all been waiting for.....the FOOD. It was an amazing selection of food that is available in NOLA. Everything we had was amazing flavor rich and down right rib stricking. Overall, good, I'd actually give this 3 1/2 stars. The best part was our guide Susan, fun, informative, great energy. For the amount of money per head, it's cash booze and not much food. Bons has a creepy back room! And the restaurants could do themselves a favor and be more welcoming to the group as a whole. But the food was fine and def New Orleans-themed. Yay Susan!! read more
